wow great chapter
Brook and Cavendish were flawless in this chapter.
"I'm sorry, it seems I don't understand art after all. Because I don't have eyes."
That's a completely new kind of badass line.
loved it
and we all saw the twist coming with doflamingo
Oh man Brook is being even more awsome ever since the Timeskip.
Wow flamingo doesn't have a scratch on him. Looks like law had to deal with a bunch, look at the background think there's meteors and cut vines everywhere. Hard to tell how strong Flamingo is while law was 2v1'd by an Admiral no less. Good on brook for finishing her quickly, I don't know what they're going to do when they get to Green Bit.
DD confirmed as a Tenryuubito, not surprised, been pretty obvious for the past 40-50 chapters.
damn law is having one hell of day
DD confirmed as a Tenryuubito, not surprised, been pretty obvious for the past 40-50 chapters.
Maybe it's just crappy translation, but doesn't what DD said mean that he's even ABOVE the Celestial Dragons? I mean, he says that the descendants of the royal families are the Celestial Dragons, but between them they choose a new ruler and that DD is a part of this family, the one chosen to rule even the Celestial Dragons.
Or maybe I understood it wrong, I don't know.
So a participant of the block D retired the match could it be something or nothing but I'm curious since it was only one.

not really sure seems he has some connection but a full blooded one seems rather weird don't forget he was a pirate why would he go against the world government?perhaps a bastard son or something Charlos from sabondy had 6 or 7 wives if i remember correctly
good thinking from brook in tricking jola..his devil fruit power is really problematic
Cabbage follows his "white knight" theme pretty accurately
dofla is a celestial dragon, see that coming, didn't see that coming that the Nefertari's were part of the founders of the WG
this chapter was amazing. I wonder what laws plan is by bringing the sunny to green bit?
so dofla is a celestial dragon…I honestly don't know why people thought he was the son of the gorosei lol.

The old royals left their countries and became celestials dragons. The countries were left without rulers when they left so new royals were chosen to rule. DD's family are the old royals that once ruled that country before they became Celestial Dragons.

Probably Spartan…

Im pretty sure it was cavendish's horse or the maynard guy.
out of all the random characters in the tourney, looking forward to seeing the story behind Suleiman. Hopefully it's something cool.
So having Doflamingo's family status finally confirmed, was he really ever in any danger from quitting the shichibukai? The admirals are basically there to do the bidding of the world nobles so what's stopping him from claiming immunity through that? Or I guess that's probably what he's doing and he's using the shichibukai status as a red herring against the wider world at large. If that's the case, then the question becomes how much of the ancestral history of world nobles is known to the commoners? It'd be odd if it was held in secrecy since their only claim to fame is their ancestry.

you understood wrong
basically, twenty kings founded the world government,19 of those kings went to live at marijoa with their families to become "celestial dragons",so in their native kingdoms there was not a royal family anymore,so new families rose to power, for the dressrosa kingdom it was the riku family, but the original royal family, the one that became celestial dragons, are the donquixote
I wonder if Ussop could have pulled of a bluff like this if he was on the ship instead of Brook.

Those rulers became the celestial dragons. The people of the countries that the old rulers left for Mariejoas picked new leaders. The Riku's, who Doflamingo kicked out (and who Rebecca is a member of) became the new rulers. I don't understand why this is so confusing for people.
Brook played up his Soul King status, and Jora was a fan
So the Sunny cruises on rainbows of music
YeeeeeeeeeeeeeSSSS
This arcdelivers in terms of great character moments

I guess this page is a clue, Dofla might just ask Ceasar to go to the Sunny (to join Jora) when it arrives at Green Bit. That would be too easy I guess, but I would say it's something like that.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Cobra said he was the xth king of Alabasta, yes? It was like 11th or so? That's far too few to be a family older than 800 years. Oda, you made a plothole? :(
Anyway, mmm, yes. Pica picachu (hey) had his name confirmed and it wasn't espada ;_; But anyways, he's so small! hahaha but really tough looking. Like "KNOCKOUT TACKLE" should be an attack for him or something.
The three seat holders hyped a little more!! And with Toy Soldier's spiel, Doflamingo has been made out to be ever more nasty.
Meanwhile, lol at Luffy thinking of Garp and Chinjao at the 't's not her fault what her grandpa did!' moment. Maybe … Roger and Ace? But anyway ...
Cavendish's interaction with teh crowd satisfying, as I expected it to be. But I expected it to come at the end, not at the beginning.
Jora's been beaten?? That was way too quick O.O That said, it was great how Brook did it :D And they are headed to Green Bit as well! Wonderful, huh?
But then, Sanji finds out this is the case from Violet - although he thinks that they're still in trouble. I'm thinking Sanji and Kinemon will keep on going with rescuing Kanjuro while maybe Zoro goes to Green Bit? In any case, Doflamingo seems to have already beaten Law! I reckon this would be a wonderful time for vs Puppet Law if Oda's going to do it at all. And with it a Law flashback? Yeah, that would be nice.
Doflamingo's revelation wasn't all that impressive, but it's nice to have it confirmed I guess? Although one must wonder, is Doflamingo the direct heir? Because if so, it makes it kinda surprising he was off sailing around as a pirate and then reclaimed the kingdom. And if he's not the direct heir, it's surprising he reclaimed the kingdom! And in any case, why would he suddenly reclaim Dressrosa? Just for piratical reasons? Business? The needs of the government? Or because he feels some need to take what he sees as his birthright? This is what still needs to be answered!
Also ... really ... the Riku Royalists have only been preparing for a year. And the former royal army was wiped out by the three seated members. They are so unprepared . . .
Oh, we've had Swamp Swamp Gatling Gun so
Why not:
Swamp Swamp Factory! - for mobile labour
Swamp Swamp Ship! - for when kidnapped by Jinbe
Swamp Swamp Crew! - to prevent crew getting left behind during raids
Swamp Swamp Bro! - for tight spots

Chill, it happens to everyone and I'm after pulling an all-nighter. Thanks everyone for clearing up this bit!
Awesome chapter.
Okay granted I am a little dissapointed that Nami got overwhelmed, again, even when she was the only one doing anything before, but still, Brook got a legit victory so I'm mostly okay with it.
Also love how Fujitora's just chilling there while Dofla stands above a bloody mess of Law.
@Supernova112
So Caribou is a Wapol fan.
so how will they save law… i mean a admiral and warlord is there... even the whole crew might not be able to defeat dofla and the admiral which name i just forgot...
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
fujitora was it :)

he was the twelth king so every king had to live 66 years it's not impossible
Hmmmmmmmmmmm

the wikia says he is the twelth, counting an average age of 70 for every king you have 840 years of reign (but you can easily increase it if you rise the average at 80),and counting cobra age of..50?60? you reach more than 800 years of reign of the nefertari family…how long ago was the foundation of the WG?
Chapter was better as expected… Cavendish was awesome... And the seats really seem to monsters
Is it just me that just loves every chapter that has a close up of Doflamingo's face? He/'s just too classy to. <3
It feels to me like the Opposite of Drum in a way: in drum the old king was good and the new is bad and here it is the opposite the new royalty is good and the old one just decided to retake it by force because Doflamingo felt like it.
this chapter was amazing. I wonder what laws plan is by bringing the sunny to green bit?
so dofla is a celestial dragon…I honestly don't know why people thought he was the son of the gorosei lol.
He might still be a son of one of the gorosei as they are also celestial dragon…
On a another note the crowd wants to set rebecca on FIRE..
someone retired from d block, was it the guy luffy k.o.ed in the waiting room
Nice chapter .

it beats me how people r still confused!!! wiz dat
Nice chapter. :)
Cavendish had some spotlight and the D block has started.
Doflamingo's speech about the WG was interesting.
Bad chapter nothing happend, dd cd is already known… 2/10
Oda needs to speed up

An average reign of seventy, you mean? The understanding is that the Nefertari family would have to have ruled since at least 800 years ago, probably around 900 like the Donquixote family. Kings don't successively reign that long. A long reigning monarch gets the throne young, but their son/daughter will be old when they inherit the throne, leading to a short reign. So … well, he can retcon it by saying they were deposed and regained rule, but basically, he's made a little contradiction here >_>
If there are 19 tenryuubito families and each of them have at least one wife with single generation, then how many tenryuubitos could be living in Mariejois? Wouldn't that make this number over several thousands?
@No:

Jora's DF negated everyone's abilities. Brook only managed to beat her because of a sneak attack when she had her guard down.

I'm not saying Oda isn't wrong sometimes but as soon as the old monarch (king/queen) die then the new monarch (prince/princess) becomes (king/queen). So just because they are 1y/o doesn't mean they can't be "king" but obviously royal advisers and whatnot would rule until the child is old enough.
Jora's DF negated everyone's abilities. Brook only managed to beat her because of a sneak attack when she had her guard down.
and so was brook taken down by her
@zeff:
and so was brook taken down by her
Speak clearer I don't understand what you're saying.
Jora's DF negated everyone's abilities. Brook only managed to beat her because of a sneak attack when she had her guard down.
It's still legit in some respects, he found a way to overcome her ability much like Luffy had done to beat logia users before haki. The sneak attack wasn't "legit" but his strategizing was and they also already sunk a submarine. She was only able to capture them due to them not realizing how her ability worked before it was too late, meaning his attack was as legit as hers.
Epic chapter but what happened to Coribou's iguana? :cwy:
Cavendish was really awesome this week, definitely living up to his epithet! I starting to change my mind about him not ending up an ally, but he should get a reason to let go of his grudge first…
So annoying Jora went down so quickly tough! She had great character and I'm sure Oda could have made an interesting fight with her powers! On the other hand it was nice to see that Brook can use his head when need arises.
Aaand Doffy was a world noble. Can't wait to find out why he became a pirate in the first place (,and got a bounty on that matter)!
