I´m back from my graduation party to find that Ivankok is losing to Whitebeard ?
I didn´t knew the "Papabeard" was a still a thing in this forums, since he already won a tournament.

Lovely event mods, would it be possible to start today's match a bit earlier (in 2-3 hours) due to the current one being pretty much one-sided?
Aye. Why not?
I'm so proud of the Arlong Park forums that Laboon advanced.

And Laboon will also carry Zeff will.
Meh, gave Ivankov a vote.
Undecided on the other one though. Campaigns are coming, right?

The Zeff stuff technically added another whale with Jinbe. This pleases me.
This Boa Hancock vs X Drake match is becoming a heated battle although Hancock is pulling through. Did u guys like X-Drake character before or after the time-skip? Who are you guys rooting for in the Sanji vs Chopper match? I'm rooting for Chopper btw.

!
X Drake looked better with his hat. Hats make everyone cool!
Hm, I wish Chopper would advance. But I like Sanji too, so it's not a bad thing.
It's time for the Afro to shine.
Good job fellow Chopper supporters, and great job to Team Sanji.
Team Brook, let's do this yohoho!

This image is reason enough for me to vote for Brook.

Respect the Afro! Let's go, Brook!
Hmmm, might vote Hannyabal. He has some implied awesomeness. And soem serious determination.
I think I'll back his next big career move, even against the 'Soul King'.
So happy Sanji won~! Now it's time to vote for Brook.
Next one is gonna be a tough choice. Brook is one of my fave SHs. But Hannybal was amazing too.
Assuming it would start already.~
Can't wait to see the Hannyabal campaigns
I'm finally able to log on and I see the good news that Sanji made it to the next round. Chopper supporters did a great job too.
Hope Brook does well this round.
^you don't have to worry about the Soul King.
What I'm really looking forward to is Luffy vs Jinbe today. I expect marvelous campaigns from the latter's side and who knows, maybe the Luffy camp will show us something neat too.
Luffy's always put into situations I can't vote for him in every year.
Last was Law vs. luffy.
The year before was Usopp vs. Luffy.
However the jimbei one is easy for Luffy. But I still love Jimbei.
Luffy v Jimbe already?
So many Straw Hats all of a sudden.

As blissful as it is to forget that they exist tournament-wise, we all knew at the bottom of our hearts that this was bound to happen. Now let's get rid of as many as those pests as humanly possible.
Any chance the Jinbe vs Luffy match will start earlier? Cause it's the same situation as Ivankov vs Whitebeard at the moment.

Not quite. This match is at least still getting some campaigns and debate, whilst the Whitvanov match was pretty much over by the end of the first page.
I'll keep an eye on it. If it looks like there's zero chance of a comeback within the last two or three hours of the match, I'll go ahead and post the new match. It all depends on you peeps.
A 43-vote lead for Brook. My good parrot, I believe it's safe to assume that the match is as good as over.

Totally agree with this. It would be a slap in the face to those who still campaign (which is admirable).
Oh, Jinbe is next up. Nearly forgot.
The campaigns are still going because Hannyabal is easily exploitable :ninja:
Luffy vs. Jinbe is today? Damn, I wanted to back up ol' Jinbe, but I don't have anything prepared. Just as well, I know he's going to get massacred, anyway…
Are we overestimating Luffy again? Just saying, that happened before and we all know how it ended.:ninja:
I believe in Jim-Bob at least for now .
Look's like Brook has the match in the bag (knocks on wood to prevent some kind of suprise like "Zeff almost caching Laboon kinde of type").
Now to prepare myself for the next one.
I'm really enjoying this match and I'm afraid to lose it in the end, it would be an hard hit after Law losing in the first round too.
High five? Are you crazy? This tournament lost it's charme.
Man oh man, now THAT was my favorite match so far. So intense, so close! Awesome campaigns from both sides…..and if there ever was a perfect way for Luffy to lose, it was by giving it his all and tying with Jinbei! (hopefully we won't get any more ties though)
Thanks for a good match, Arlong Park!
That was coolest and bestest match ever!
Parrots, wolves, Jim-Bob. Luffy wasn't force of nature after all.
Also, totally called it:ninja:
I expect this much support for Sanji as well :ninja:
Alright, sorry guys that I could not support Jinbe in the last couple hours, but I wanted to do a certain campaign and sadly I think it's the last chance for me to do it.
This is a close match and every vote counts, but I think it's worth looking back to thank all of those who already voted for Jinbe. So…
Best campaign of the tournament by far
I didn't want to give it a free bump in the heat of battle, but now that the match is over :)
Soon…
Jinbe for the win! That match was way too close for comfort, especially since the usual "no repeat winners!" mentality was completely cast aside just because it was Luffy. Great effort on both sides, though…
"Three way matches to break the ties"? What does that mean? As in you have three people in a match, and the top two win? Because even then . . .
High five? Are you crazy? This tournament lost it's charme.
Waht do you mean? I don't understand
!
I'm pretty sure it's "three contestants enter and only one leaves".
The thread creator holding their vote is a much better system, in my opinion…

Back in -09 and -10 we used to have ties lead to three-way matches where both of the tied contestants would move on and face a third character on the next round, with only the winner of that match moving on. I think that is the most natural and the fairest way of dealing with ties since it does not involve a mod who will always have a personal bias making the decision as to who wins.
We just decided to get rid of that at least for now since many people found it unfair as the three-way matches always had two similar characters suffering from their similarity, leading to the third guy getting an easy win.
