Fro some reason Smiley reminds me of Kogmaw the way he spits smaller slimes like that.
-
so, Doflamingo is joker ! congrats to the people who predicted that…. but now i have the feeling since doflamingo is in control and he told the WG that he ''killed'' Moria, will we see moria again ? is he a part of ''Jokers'' Army ?
and about a fight between the strawhats and Doflamingo i think somehow that Sanji ends up fighting him!, in a way that Doflamingo controlls them, and he wants sanji to attack nami and his will is so ''STRONG'' not to kick a girl that he breaks free :P.Your toughts?
-
Just a note on MangaPanda's translation: They seem to have made the same mistake that was made with Drake's rank.
The new G5 character, whose name means "too much", is actually a rear-admiral. Commodore is a different rank in OP. -
I still think Doflamingo will be the new yonkou because he wanted to team up with Crocodile and he showed interest in Luffy so it makes sense for him to use Law's plan and to team up with Luffy.

The new G5 character, whose name means "too much", is actually a rear-admiral. Commodore is a different rank in OP.Yeah Smoker was a commodore, so I was thinking that was odd. Rear admiral is right below vice admiral right? I think that was Drake's rank. Seeing Doflamingo was nice, but realizing Law was his subordinate was icing on the cake. That makes the picture clearer now but there is still a lot of stuff to be learned, reminds me of Alabasta with a deeper and darker plot.
-
Out on mangareader too!
-
Thoughts on chapter:
-The marine at the beginning sucks, dislike him. Tashigi got dem props by being nice tho.
-Smiley is so cute now that he turned out to be a Mudkip zoan. Really, makes me :3 and I avoid doing that.
-I'm so glad the hamburger meat was pointed out, that was really bugging me. How the hell does something that thick even go unnoticed.
-Chopper will save the caged Straw Hats
-Everyone knew Law would be connected to Doflamingo. It's nice that Doflamingo turned out to be Joker though. He finally has a real role in the story, which like people said in the spoiler, is nice since we won't have people predicting Doflamingo is behind everything that happens from now on. -
The people on the island asking for the kids look like they have the same cloths as Law so i think its his home island also i still think Doflamingo will be the new yonkou because he wanted to team up with Crocodile and he showed interest in Luffy so it makes sense for him to use Law's plan and to team up with Luffy lol.

-Chopper will save the caged Straw Hats.
Finally, someone who realizes it. Chopper is RIGHT THERE.
EDIT: Nevermind, I was wrong about the new guy being a rear-admiral. Aohige clarified his mistake in the spoiler thread.
However, Drake is still a former rear-admiral. -
Donflamingo is behind everything!
-
Now this chapter was just freaking awesome.
Especially for that cage scene…
-
good chapter .
All the peieces of this arc are coming nicely together . -
So now I'm a bit confused about who the guy in the hat was.
-
Just a note on MangaPanda's translation: They seem to have made the same mistake that was made with Drake's rank.
The new G5 character, whose name means "too much", is actually a rear-admiral. Commodore is a different rank in OP.Nah, I made the mistake.
The two entry level admirals confuse me. -
i can't help but think giving the slime a devil fruit is a waste but whatever. Quite a lot of cool revelations this chapter. I like how we are learning more about doflamingo now. I wonder how smokers obvious escape will impact dofla's plans.
I'm gonna assume nami-in-sanji and usopp have been captured. I think chopper will replace caesers drugs with placebos or something. Depends if he has more than just the one on him or not. The other 4 will probably save them all
-
And Oda hits it out of the park once again!
We got a better look at G-5's corrupt side, and new Zoan-type fruit, a proper introduction for Vergo (and an explanation for his face-meat), a bit of information on Law, and the reveal of Joker (though many people had already predicted that he'd be Doflamingo). Just an all-around amazing chapter. It's a shame the translation was so shoddy, though…
Also, I got a good chuckle out of Luffy and Robin reminiscing about the seastone cage back in Rain Dinners.
-
@Law:
The people on the island asking for the kids look like they have the same cloths as Law so i think its his home island
Law comes from the north blue not the new world
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
lol if you look at the peoples imagining of vergo he has what looks like chop sticks in his beard. Messy eater much
-
Wow, this was a great chapter with a lot of content. Especially the reveal at the end.
- The marines being assholes, what a surprise. Commodore Yarisugi, huh?
- I like that the parents aren't idiots.
- Oh crap, will Nami and Ussop be taken out or not? I'd prefer them to at least show some resistance, even if it's logical that they will be taken out.
- Well, Zoro, Sanji, Brook, Kinemon are heading to the facility. The slime is explained, too, it's a DF, that's nice.
- Now the best part of the chapter. Doflamingo is behind everything, basically, finally.
Vergo is his subordinate, Law used to be his subordinate. Vergo's been working undercover for 15 years in the marines. He's a vice admiral.
I'm excited for stuff coming up.
It did feel a bit filler-y with the Zoro group stuff, but I'm curious where the confrontation with Ceasar goes and of course all the stuff inside the facility.
-

yeah, it is. Oda actually posted a ranking page in SBS in vol 18.
I had colored it to make it easier to read= -
Quick question, how does Law mean ''surbordinate''? as in because they are both sichibukais ? or in another way?
-
Lol, what a jerk that Commodore is… Also, when I first saw him, I was thinking "Oh hell, Oda, this is rather too much even for your style", then I saw his name and giggled.
Poor citizens... I mean, they must have a hard time living in a place protected by a complete arse.
And hell.... Vergo is a VA? And has a moustache? Instant favourite.
Seriously though, he turned out to be much more interesting than I hoped. -
Ok, the thing on Virgo's face on pg 4 seems to be fries (2 pieces on each side).
Awesome chap so far. -
Smiley! This chapter was awesome (Vergo's meat, Joker's reveal, more Monet <3, Dofla and his huge ass puppet show), but Smiley…. good god, he's adorable! The two other groups were alright, but not that great. Trafal-guy tehehehe…
-
Fuck, Ussop, catch that gasious mother fucker in a dial asap.
-
And one piece does it again !
amazing chapter
defiantly coming together nicely
Glad that we know who joker is now
hilarious is luffy and robin
and i chucked reading the comment
that now everyone will stop saying Doflamingo is behing everything !
haha :) -
Doflamingo development. Sooo goood.
And since Vergo is skilled with Haki, I'll assume Doflamingo is as skilled or even more skilled. Enough of that…
But, seriously. Crocodile held a major undergound operation across the early parts of the Grand Line, and it seemed grand. Doflamingo's operation trumps it like an aquarium to a goldfish bowl. His agents seem to infiltrate into everything. I wouldn't be surprised if he's got much of the top brass working for him like puppets. Fucking epic. I've been waiting for the conflict against Doflamingo ever since Bellamy. So fucking psyched.
-
Oh my god, it was Doflamingo after all… I got a real kick out of Commodore Yarisugi - I have a soft spot for hyperbole. What a jam-packed chapter. So much was revealed at once! Punk Hazard is amazing.
-
Forgot to thank Redon for pics!
This chapter had me going since the cover story with Brook and Usoppp!! -
I don´t know if anyone posted it in Spoilers threads or in Chapter 672 thread, but I find something in chapter 533…
Omg, Oda you sly dog !
This chapter was great, some good humour with the leftover hamburger on Vergo's face and Luffy, Smoker, Law and Robin's interactions.
Doflamingo! Yes! I doubted it but wow, Oda's got me so hyped for the next chapter
-
Quick question, how does Law mean ''surbordinate''? as in because they are both sichibukais ? or in another way?
In most contexts subordinate would mean underling.
-
I wonder if anyone is going to bring up Bellamy?
-
I don´t know if anyone posted it in Spoilers threads or in Chapter 672 thread, but I find something in chapter 533…
The similarity is rather big. However, I think Vergo became one of the G-5 marines more than 3 years ago so this marine can't be him.
-
I don´t know if anyone posted it in Spoilers threads or in Chapter 672 thread, but I find something in chapter 533…
Considering how Vergo already had his unique mullet and beard in the flashback with french fries, which was likely to be before the kidnapping incident 3 years ago, that's not him.
-

http://www.mangapanda.com/one-piece/673/2Pretty sure Law was a North Blue-er.
-
I knew it would be a good chapter it ranks above Law's re-intro. Also shows off Doflamingo's power & influence, this makes my annoyance of the questions from last week seem petty. Now we just need to see what happens next, Oda is a genius and Doflamingo is the BEST. I did think Doflamingo would be before Big Mam but I though we'd have 2 or 3 arcs before that. Oda is a GENIUS
-

I would say DD's sphere of inflence is almost as impressive as a Yonkou.
It seems like the only thing preventing him to be recognized as a fifth emperor would be the nature of his power being in shadows and stealthed. -
I'm seeing Buggy and Doflamingo as children of the Joker. Buggy's got the clown thing down but none of the genius. Doflamingo's got the genius down, and surpasses his dad somehow (by killing Batman?)
-

Law comes from the north blue not the new world

That is where he started his pirate crew it did not say he was born there also Sanji and Zoro were not born in east blue but they count as east blue pirates because that is where they started as pirates.
I think Law was a devil user that from the island the kids have been taken from it was said that Vergo saved the island from pirates so it could have been setup by Doflamingo's pirates they could have been acting when they lost to Vergo.
-
HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT A CHAPTER!!!!!!!!!!!!
even more mysteries now, law says theres SEVEN schibukai but theres only been FIVE currently revealed .
ODA IS A GENIUS!!! -
Considering how Vergo already had his unique mullet and beard in the flashback with french fries, which was likely to be before the kidnapping incident 3 years ago, that's not him.
Oh, you are rigth, I didn´t read all your script, sorry ^^u
-
yeah, it is. Oda actually posted a ranking page in SBS in vol 18.
I had colored it to make it easier to read=http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/138/9/c/marine_ranking_by_katzztar-d3gn50e.jpg
This graph and the new overboard Marine in this weeks chapter have basically confirmed for me that Coby is a Rear Admiral or at least Commodore rank after the two year time skip. Because this is the second time after said time skip that Oda showed a fodder RA,the first one being Rear Admiral Kadar in the Sun Pirates flashback.
I honestly think Coby could be at this rank by now ,considering he jumped five ranks in 6 months.
Loved this chapter , Vergo is awesome glad he's a Marine instead of tied to a Yonko.
Don Flamingo behind it all? Yes sir i'll take it.

I don´t know if anyone posted it in Spoilers threads or in Chapter 672 thread, but I find something in chapter 533…

It seems like the only thing preventing him to be recognized as a fifth emperor would be the nature of his power being in shadows and stealthed.Agreed. And he's done a hell of a job keeping his power authoritarian but secret. I want to suspect he has spies in officer rank in Big Mom's and Kaidou's crews, but perhaps Virgo is his limit in infiltrating a world power? Nonetheless, I have no doubt he has a bunch of unwilling crews of pirate slaves working for him, with some even working under other Yonkou by name.
I feel a little sad for Caesar. He has no idea who he's really working with, and is now overshadowed as a villain.
-
Oh, one more thing.
I think Monday 16th July is holiday in Japan, so next Jump isse (#33) will be on sale probably on Saturday 14th July, so maybe next week we´ll have early Spoilers on Tuesday.
-
I always thought that Law and Doflamingo have some kind of connection because of there pirate flag, which both has smilies in them. Good to see we learn more from Doflamingo.
