he said that he was logia himself he is like akainu because he is molten earth while caribou is wet earth both of their logia's are a type of liquid earth.
Caribou is a swamp fruit. He has a freakin swamp inside of him. I'm confused to how that qualify's him as a logia? Obviously he's not going to be affected by hits or bullets just like Luffy isn't, because he'd just absorb him. What I don't get is that when he got shot with the cannon it didn't pass through him like it should a normal logia.
Obviously if it's been confirmed by someone other than Caribou I'll just have to accept it. It's just weird because the power seems so similar to Luffy's in what it does.

It's logia. It's been stated many times it was logia. The gimmick of his ability is its more tangible than most but if you hit him without Haki, you simply sink into him.
See that's what throws me. It reminds me so much of how Luffy's powers work that I just always assumed Caribou was lying because logia is, in general, more intimidating than paramecia. Plus we've never actually seen anything pass all the way through him. He's just absorbed everything.
I guess it really doesn't matter anymore does it?

caribou is a swamp logia which is wet he is not like the other logia users just like how usopp's fire would have made ceasar's gas logia body explode if he not taken the oxygen out it to put the fire out.

KID was EPIIIIIIIIIIIC!!!! Looks so badass, he so fought a Yonkou. But it does appear Oda messed up with his arm in the previous chapters. So the Law/Luffy alliance and the Kid/Hawkins/Apoo alliance nice! Sanji's grope power-up was GREAT. An amazing chapter worth the wait!

I think with Luffy his actual body is still hit by a bullet or a cannon.
Caribou his actual body isn't hit, but he has a secondary power of absorption. So he can choose to just take things in similar to Blackbeard.
A swamp like magma isn't something you can really hold in your hands. Similar to lightning and fire it has a sense of intangibility.

I saw it as similar to Luffy's. Luffy's whole body is rubber right? But he's not a logia. Caribou's whole body is swamp, which is entirely different than any other type of logia we've seen to date, which have all been elemental based.
Every logia we've seen, when attacked, everything would pass right through them. With caribou, everything gets absorbed.
Like I said, I know I'm wrong, but I always thought he was lying, because it's more intimidating to fight a logia than a paramecia.
And the idea of him hiding his power when he was one the Straw Hats ship always bothered me. Because, if he was a logia, he'd assume none of them could actually hurt them.
I don't mean to cause an issue out of this now. I was just wondering if Oda or character who wasn't Caribou had confirmed it.

Not all logia's have stuff phase through them. Aokiji being a good example. Either Jinbe can use haki OR more likely he can affect a mud logia with Fishman Karate, which would make sense. Kid and Apoo fighting was funny. Killer seems to be the brains of Kid's crew, meaning he's not as Zoro like as I thought but that fight will be GODLY!

Chapter was good this week (a somewhat dodgy translation hampered my enjoyment a little, looking forward to mangastream release). Great to see the return of Kid, Killer, Apoo and Hawkins all with new developed designs (bloody hell Killer is Hench!). Interesting to see that the Supernova's seem to be developing a new hierachy in terms of bountys with both Apoo and Law overtaking Hawkins (really excited to see Drake now).
The escape was interesting enough and Luffy and Law continue to have a pretty good rapport. Sanji's 'Grope power' was pretty funny but I think that the whole reunion of the crew was very rushed.
Loved the end though, Luffy's embracing of the chaos of the situation was really in fitting with the feel of the arc and the comparison between the uneasy alliance of Kid, Hawkins and Apoo at the start of the chapter and the alliance between Luffy, Law and Smoker at the end of it was a really nice touch.

Yay, we're finally nearing the climax. There was so much happening in this chapter, it was incredible! Early aswell.
The supernovas are back, alliances, the start of the counterattack, wow i love this arc!Btw is this what the "super rookie saga" is referring to?

Looks like it, I think at One Piece Ten it said somewhere the name of this saga is "Sea of Survival: Super Rookies Saga"
The "Sea of Survival" part seems to be talking about how the Supernovae will have to join forces to survive.

- Kidd... Motherfucking Kidd looks awesome. Same for Killer and glad that the theory about Killer being his own captain can die

- Dat alliance... here I ask myself if we will have 2 different alliances which will fight against each other. Kidd's alliance vs Law/Luffy alliance
- Sanji's power up (Can see the hatefor Sanji incoming soon)

swamps have water in them and he is closest thing to a water logia we have because he is a wet muddy logia which is what a swamp is!

you cannot compare his logia with someone like kizaru who turns to light because he still has water in his logia state. -

Yea i completely agree on the sea of survival part. Oda, before the timeskip introduced so many characters (the supernovas). I feel like a pirate alliance is the only way to actually flesh most of them out. I also feel like this Punk Hazard arc is just the beginning to this huge plotline, with each arc including some or most of the supernova's, eventually ending with the fall of a yonkou. Oda is honestly a genius. I cant help but stress the fact that this arc felt very enclosed yet by the time CC started to show off this weapons to the One Piece's very own "Black Market" the world just got expanded again! I can't help but say he will be the only mangaka who can manage 15 characters at once. This chapter was yet again another amazing one. Especially when you think of all the smaller things (the devil fruit, etc)
@Kishido, I like to consider Brook not a swordsman, but now as a musician/fencer that uses the death-like powers. He's more fast than strong anyway.

I absolutely loved this chapter. We see the full reveal of Kidd and got to see killer, Apoo and hawkins again.
Tashigi telling off and yelling at smoker was priceless.
Luffy and law again was great.
The spread with smoker, law and luffy was awesome.

I guess Brok being more of a fencer, he doesn't really work that way, he can probably pierce Iron but not cut it in half.

This was an amazing chapter. The introduction of the supernovas, the comedy, and the pace.
This has to be one of the best chapters in weeks.
