The three most popular captains, as far as I remember, are Byakuya, Hitsugaya (how the flying fuck does he become more popular then the main character for fuck's sake ?!) and Kenpachi.
I don't know what's sadder. The fact that Kubo wrote these characters or that people love them so much.
And only one of them actually deserves that popularity (hint: it's not the stoic asshole or the annoying shota).
Also, Byakuya's character is "deep" according to some? Hah! I've seen deeper puddles…

At the very least, I like that Byakuya might be feeling guilty for what he did to Rukia. That's the best thing you could expect with that, but knowing everything, this will probably lead to nothing, just being hopeful here. Maybe I'm just used to the fact that honor is made a big freaking deal in Japan and thus that translates into manga and was the whole freaking reason behind everything that Byakuya did back at the SS arc.
I found Byakuya to be interesting character when he first showed up, but I know you can't say anything positive or hopeful about this series here, so whatever, I just figured I'd try for once.

NAruto chapter was okay. I liked guy's comment to the infinite tsukoyomi.
Bleach…I admit I like the design of that female Sub Zero, but the chapter was still horrible.

Bleach was boring, but not horribly bad atleast. The long winded explanation of 'fear' was not needed. It felt like one of Kubo's pretentious poems. More importantly, how are these arrows able to induce fear ?? Last I checked, Quincy are not capable of doing something like this. It should not be possible. I am waiting to see how Kubo retcons this.
And its still not shown, whether the shikai is also stolen with the bankai. As Byakuya did not use it, I am guessing its safe to assume that shikai also becomes useless after the bankai is stolen.
Typical Bleach scenario, the villains are overpoweed as always, and seem unbeatable, but ofcourse Ichigo will enter and save the day.
There were some good moments like Byakuya telling Renji he is an idiot, Rukia's face, Byakuya getting owned with his own Bankai. Lol, that last one is my favourite.
P.S.- Haha, typical Kubo, completely forgets last weeks cliffhanger. -

It would have been better if kenpachi had been the main character because kubo was to lazy to give ichigo any special powers except that cool hollow form which he removed lol.
kenpachi just auto attacks things to death like ichigo spamming his attack but at least he does not have to rely on a bankai to win boss fights also the fact he has no bankai makes it more acceptable for him having less special attacks than the other captains lol.

it's not cold its fear that is why he had bugs on him and he saw rukia as a dead body the power uses the users fear against them.
the reason the chapter sucks is because we are going to have to wait for all the captains to lose before we see grimmjow.

I wouldn't realy same that. Kenpachi is just as boring and lifeless as Byakuya, only he makes a different face while being smug as hell, and he's pretentious in a different sort of way.
But he's definitely boring and lifeless.

The speech on fear wasn't bad and the scene with the bugs & rotted Rukia remind me of the first time I saw Amityville Horror. Bleach has so littler content per chapter and Kubo wonders why sales fell. If Byakuya dies then maybe Kubo is just going to kill everyone and destroy the Bleachverse bringing the only good ending that can happen thanks to Aizen not being the final enemy.
Naruto was pretty good. I don't get why Mangastream thinks 12 pages of shitty fan art is needed between the starting page & second page. More hints of who Tobi is… For all who don't like Naruto as soon as Tobi is revealed unless it's Obito or Madara then about half of Naruto readers will rage quit the series. I'm banking on Shisui

Kisuke, Kenpachi, Grimmjow and Zangetsu are the only characters I finding compelling. Byakuya hasn't been good since he lost to Ichigo. Kenpachi is compelling because he's not special he doesn't even have a special sword he just kicks ass and takes names

That's WHY he's not compelling. He's literally invincible. How is it badass to love fighting when you basically can't lose? Kenpachi might as well be beating up infants for how cool that is.

it's funny how the people he fights don't fight fair and still lose to him but like i said it would have been better if he had been the main character instead because ichigo has not even learned new attacks he just spams the same shit which makes it pointless for him being hyped up at least kenpachi has the reason he does not want to use kido when he has learned it or have his sword name to use bankai.

Thats the confusing part. Why didn't Byakuya use shikai if he could ?? It even became bad enough that he was relying on Renji to attack Nodt. That must mean he is desperate.

Hey, I was just hoping for some character development before a character is just randomly killed, but I guess I can't even do that. I also haven't read SS in quite a while, so maybe I should do that, cause I might be mixing up/forgetting the stuff with Byakuya. Yeah, he was a dick about executing Rukia, but if he was, now he could realize he's afraid that Rukia might be killed/guilty about what he did and honor really isn't everything, wouldn't that be kind of nice character development for him? I'm just looking to deep into this, aren't I?

I never looked at it like this but yeah. This does seem to indicate all he cares about is killing others for fun and then pretending he does it for some "lofty" reason.

He's not invincible he's just not got the abilities the others have and makes up for it with sheer force. Kind of like how a bear doesn't have human intelligence to catch prey but has the strength of 20 men to make up for it (terrible analogy but it makes the point). Someone with a little intelligence can beat him, but brute characters are always fun (almost always). Also you have to remember I'm saying he's compelling for Bleach which doesn't take much.

Naruto: While Tobi's first line was kind of creepy. "You can feel it in your skiiiiin". I did like how he managed to get the ten tails together through stuff that actually happened in the past, so there's that. It's obviously Obito, so maybe there will be something there, but I doubt it.
