The most likely candidate is Smoker; he's a logia, for one, and two, he's a fairly powerful fighter that did his share of the work during the War. Being that he was promoted from Captain to Commodore in a fairly short time, I can easily see him achieving Admiral in 2 years. Kuzan is probably the new Fleet Admiral, considering they probably want Akainu and Kizaru out on the front lines.

There is no way that Kuzan is the Fleet Admiral. He's too lazy and insubordinate. I personal believe that Kizaru is the new Fleet Admiral.

I'm close to a 100% sure that the monster trio will fight the admirals, and most people think akainu got the new job as fleet admiral to add even more tension in the marines

Seeing White Beards top guys take on the admirals like that is clearly how the Monster Trio will be portrayed at the end of the series. Before the end of the series there may or may not be some one on one's with Luffy that may not end in a decisive win or lose. But during the great war that will end the series do you expect anyone else but the Monster Trio to take on the Admirals?

The point is more that Zoro and Sanji will be able to go head to head with them, regardless of whether or not the actual battle will happen.

do you honestly think a crew with 11 people can survive having their captain be the pirate king if not even one of them is admiral level… NO!!! the yonkou would destroy them the marines would send there full force at them they'd be utterly destroyed, it would have to be set in stone that they are by far the strongest crew, cause that's what you need to be to be a pirate king with 11 people on board, each crew member needs to be unimaginably strong

I think you shouldn't be allowed in threads like these if you can't understand how Luffy's legendary crew will be able to handle these guys. This is not Dragon Ball where everything will ultimately come down to Goku and everyone else is useless. You must have skipped all the punches White Beard gave to Akainu. Probably missed the scene where Marco literally kicked light man Kizaru out of the sky. Oh and certainly you didn't witness Josu tackling ice and sand men like they were foot balls. Go read the war again and Rayleigh's explanation on Haki.

I don't claim that they will fight them, just that later in the series they will BE ABLE to fight them.

I love this. I completely agree! Also his opinions are based on nonsense. Please just read the manga more than once, it's worth it. Things make sense. Oda deserves trust based on 650 chapters of logical answers to questions that were raised during the plot twists of his story. People aren't criticizing your opinions, just that what you say doesn't make sense in the context of the story. You seem to omit specific evidence that contradicts your argument. That is why people are telling you to reread certain portions of the story.

people have survived lasers, brook survived one for Christ sakes a direct hit, we told you sanji's ability to engulf himself in flames makes him a good candidate to fight aoikiji, the fact there's CoO allows them to predict attacks before they come, Romance dawn may have the best point yet, this isn't dragon ball z where only goku can beat the villains, maybe the main villains but he needs his crew to be super powerful to survive in this new world, it's not something luffy can do alone, all the yonkou seem to have three subordinates that are extremely strong, WB had marco, ace, jozu and vista, shanks has Ben Beckmen, Lucky Roo, and Yasopp, and more importantly kaidou and big Mama and BB are gone have large powerful crews and there's no way he can survive on a sea, as the pirate king with no guys who aren't admiral level, they'll destroy him

as we've said also you don't become invincible if you have logia, I mean do you think shanks and ben beckmen can't even fight an admiral, they don't have a df power that saves them from the same stuff you mentioned would kill zoro and sanji, mind to explain that

no matter how long Roger did,Luffy won't take 10 years to be pirate king…and battle with admirals/vice admirals would start to come up very early in NW i think...only by constant clashes with them and other pirates the SH crew will mature...

While I believe the "Monster Trio" (hate that term for some reason) will fight Admirals and Vice Admirals later on, I doubt it will happen so soon. My belief is that the SH will start off slow. I mean, perhaps for suspense, they'll probably run into a Vice Admiral or even an Admiral, and run away, but I'm talking about fighting here. What I see happening is that they'll fight maybe a Supernova at first. Then maybe someone new and strong, near the level of a Vice Admiral on an island that becomes a problem for the SH's in a future arc, and then we will most likely get to fighting Vice Admiral level people. Perhaps Smoker at that point. And only near the end, will we see Luffy, Zoro and Sanji have the skill and confidence to be able to take on Admirals and the Yonkou.

The only confusion I have is how Oda will play out their growth in haki, and how they'll improve. Will Oda have to do mini-timeskips? Perhaps a few months at a time? For instance, we know now Luffy has a hard time holding up against sharp attacks, as was stated when Hody bit him. How will it show that he's getting better at armor haki? After two arcs and that's it, where it feels like only a month at the least has gone by? I understand, not only time needs to go by, but also challenges need to take place for his growth to occur. But it seems only natural that a good amount of time needs to pass for his growth to seem natural.

i myself is not expecting a all out battle,like in marinefold…but cat and mouse chase should start from the moment they set sail at the NW,that i expect...perhaps start with a vice admiral level marine..roger and garp are supposed to be confronted throughout the NW....
i am more interested in how long this journey will be...it took almost 3 years to reach upto half mark..things should be way difficult from now on...luffy is at 19-20 years of age..somehow i don't want to see luffy as a man in his 30's...may be in a epilogue...but as a adventurer his young image is too hard to get over with...:sad:

Jozu,Marco both fell eventually to the admirals.Kizaru has widespread lasers.Will Zoro dodging and tanking rapid fire lasers? Marco was able to survive his short battle with Kizaru and took his lasers head on cause of regenerate powers.He was cuffed,shot a few times in the stomach and took huge amount of damage.

Aojiki can flashfreeze the sea,and the huge waves.And can send an ice wave that can freeze huge amount of people.He fought a magma man.Magma> fire.So I'm sure he can easily handle whatever amount of fire Sanji can produce.

So how Shanks (blocked a mamga punch from magma man), Garp (A fucking legend who intnted to kill the magma man and fought the pirate king), Sengoku (A former admiral and boss of them), Roger (You now pirate king), Rayleigh (See Kizaru vs Rayleigh even if he is just the first mate of the pirate king), Mihawk (Zoro's goal who fought with Shanks more than once on equal term and has the title of the strongest swordsman) and Co could ever fight them? All of them would probably be rofl-stomped cuz of the hax powers or have some hidden logia/df abilities to be able to fight that.

And how Luffy can fight them cuz he is just a rubber man and main character? Ahh yeah he is a main character and stupid real life logic isn't working like fodder tanking a nuclear bomb, 1000 stabs into his torso, having million of volts through their body… but hey they still are alive and well.

I feel Zoro will fight Kizaru due to Kizaru and Rayleigh fighting back when and how Oda seems gunho on this whole similarities between roger and luffy's adventure. You know since rayleigh and zoro both first mates, and we saw rayleigh fight kizaru with a sword. And how even if its only 1 douriki, Oda has ALWAYS matched up Zoro with the stronger opponent than Sanji.

So that leaves Sanji and Jiimbei to each pick one of the NEW admirals. Now I don't know about any of you, but I'm going to find it hard to imagine any of the new guys to be on the level the prior 3 admirals were (Aikanu, Aokiji, Kizaru), also fact that unless one is smoker it will probably also not be a logia. And since I always felt Smoker vs. Luffy is predestined I don't see him being an opponent for either Sanji or Jimbei. So it feels like Sanji is going to get the short end of the stick in the final battle with WG in regards to fighting some big bad amazingly strong guy.

You know like people will see Zoro taking Kizaru, while Sanji is taking say Big John, or Momongo, Or hell maybe even Coby. Maybe its just me, but I have a hard time seeing anyone non-pirate to be on the level Aikanu, Aokiji and Kizaru are. They all just feel like Fodder compared to Kizaru to them.

This is the problem I see with trying to guess or picture a new Admiral. Who is there that could replace those two monsters and not feel so underpowered compared to those three. The WG really did take a "HUGE" hit on this whole situation.

The fights with the admirals during the war were very circumstantial. Even WB lost to an Admiral, and he was regarded as the Strongest Man in the World at the time. However, I won't debate this admiral level nonsense, but I will say there's undeniable proof that Marco and Jozu are able to hit logias. I'm sure you don't disagree with this statement.

Aojiki can flashfreeze the sea,and the huge waves.And can send an ice wave that can freeze huge amount of people.He fought a magma man.Magma> fire.So I'm sure he can easily handle whatever amount of fire Sanji can produce.

As for Zoro and Sanji, there is full confirmation that they both possess CoO (Color of Observation) haki in chapter 650. Someone already brought up this point, but it seemed to have been sweep-ed under the carpet as they say. So, while it's mainly based on interpolation that Zoro and Sanji currently possess CoA (Color of Armanent) haki. It makes the most sense that they'd have learned both CoO and CoA at the same time.

Okay… Let's just put things in perspective. Shanks and Mihawk were rivals. I don't know if they still are. Their relationship seems a little weird... Anyways, one can presume that Mihawk is probably as strong as a Yonkou. Or around that level, so to speak. Why? Because rivalry in this manga gives off the idea that usually both parties are somewhat equal with each other. So if Zoro's dream is to surpass Mihawk, to obtain the title, "Worlds Strongest Swordsman", then why don't you think that Zoro for instance won't be at the level of an Admiral, by the end of the manga? Not to mention how many times Oda has added into the manga that Zoro could be a captain of his own ship. That, "he's not the type to serve under another". I don't really feel like pointing out how many times Oda does this. And don't forget how many times we have seen the rivalry, and competition between both Sanji and Zoro. How they even defeated a Pacifista at the same time. Or even in the past, how they were able to defeat CP9 members of nearly the same strength, and still had energy to continue fighting. I personally believe that this evidence alone that we've received so far, is headed towards Sanji and Zoro being able to fight Admiral level fighters by the end of the manga. While Luffy stands above those two, and it will be shown thusly when Luffy fights Blackbeard. I don't want to seem like I know everything, but this manga is also pretty damn predictable in a lot of ways.

I'm not saying Sanji couldn't fight Kizaru, I'm sure both can hit logias, just saying based on what I've seen in this manga so far I imagine Zoro fighting Kizaru over Sanji. Zoro fought #1 (das bones), zoro fought Kaku, zoro fought that one priest in skypiea, zoro fought hyozou. It's pretty dman clear that zoro fights the #2 in every arc. I was then just saying this then leaves Sanji to find a different opponent, than Kizaru. And I just can't imagine any new admiral ever living up to the original three in terms of "OMG, he insane" so then it feels like Sanji gets short end of stick. I mean Zoro gets Kizaru and Sanji gets Momongo? Talk about Sanji fighting a pussy compared to Kizaru. That's all I'm saying.

In prior arcs it could be argued that Kaku and Jyabura are essentailly the same in str, or other arcs enemies, hell they even both beat the same pacifista in one hit so its still clear imo that they are roughly the same str if not equal. BUT I just can't see myself ever seeing someone else to be Kizaru, Aokiji, Aikanu level in the marines. Unless some new marine comes out, or Coby or some current marine gets some GODLY logia devil fruit as well. Thus in the final WG battle, to me, it will feel like Sanji gets shafted on having some EPIC final boss fight for himself.

And why not monters four? Jimbei obviously is going to join, he clearly said so. And if him and Sanji teaming up this last arc was not an indication of a monster four, then what is? He is clearly there level right now "at least" Hard to tell if stronger or not due to fishman island enemies being so weak.

I'm totally fine seeing Franky, Chopper, Brook or any of the other crew fighting vice admirals, but I want something more for Sanji and Jimbei. It will feel pathetic having them just taking out VA caliber enemy. And like been saying in these posts, its goign to be hard to imagine anyone not (aokiji, aikanu, kizaru) as being admiral level. I've given a second thought about this whole thing.

First of all, I don't think it's fair to call Sakazuki, Kuzan and Borsalino Admiral level because Admiral is just a rank. It's not hard to believe that those three are roughly equals in terms of strength and are stronger than the top WB Commanders, but are weaker than WB himself.

I mean, when Sakazuki was promoted, he didn't suddenly become stronger than Borsalino. Garp and Sengoku were apart by two ranks back then, but that doesn't mean they weren't equal in strength (I believe Sengoku's hax fruit was a privilege from his position).

About the new Admirals, I have a hard time seeing them being as formidable as the previous two. For some reason, I think Luffy will fight Borsalino somewhere before the big war that will most likely happen at the end of the series and this will somehow incapacitate Borsalino from participating. This way, we'll have Sakazuki and the new two Admirals at this war. I actually see Zoro and Sanji fighting those two, while Luffy takes on Akainu. That way, Zoro and Sanji would technically be "Admiral" level, but not "Akainu, Kizaru, Aokiji" level. It would be like the WB comparison I gave above:

Luffy > Aokiji/Kizaru/Akainu > Zoro/Sanji

I was just saying that based on history of manga, seeing how only one of them is a remaining admiral I see Zoro taking that while LUffy takes the Fleet admiral. Since Kizaru has been admiral longer than these 2 new ones, he will seem like the #2 and thus Zoro gets him like he always has.

Then this leaves Sanji to take one of the other admirals, and again back to whole statement of finding it hard to see anyone else as strong as Aokiji, Aikanu, or Kizaru.

Hell its hard to even imagine any of the Yonkou at their level. They just really do seem insane. I saw with my own eyes whitebeard handle all three and even multiple at a time, yet its still hard to believe. Aokiji, Aikanu, and Kizaru just seem too godly insane. They really do encompase the whole "HOLY SHIT, WOW, OMG, INSANE" factor and are intimidating as hell. And that is not something easily replacable. Who can Oda throw into that position that will give off that same AURA that those 3 did?

As far as I'm concerned, Joz and Marco were going toe-to-toe with the admirals but I agree that they might have been a little weaker then them.

While it's possible, it may also be possible that both of them were in equal terms. Joz and Marco had a loving father type figure dying slowly behind them. On the other hand, Kizaru and Aokiji were fully focused, with no worries at all. This is almost never taken into full consideration when analyzing the situation and discussing whether or not Joz or Marco were equal or not to the Admirals.

He is living in his real life logic world and talks all the time, that there is no way that neither Zoro or Sanji will ever be able to fight one of the admirals cuz of the hax fruits… even if there are other top tier people without hax fruits and already stopped and fought them... one was a swordsman and first mate of the pirate king... One is the rival of a Yonkou who blokced an admiral and top swordsman... The other one is a mere brawler and so on

The current lacking of an admiral was a no topic and I agree with you, that there is no one who seriously could fill the gap of Aokiji. But we will see what will happen... but once agian... you know,we are very unsure about who are going to be new admirals…the two vacant places...
i have a hunch that we can see two completely new chars....none of the known vice admirals who fought at marinefold seemed impressive enough to be new admiral,though it is expected that some of them would rise to admiral position....smoker too is a future candidate,but in 2 years he perhaps reached at most to rear admiral position....
my logic is marine headquarters couldn't called their every strongman in the battle with whitebeard...they needed to maintain bare minimum presence in NW where two younkous were still at large and so were numerous pirates...without watch they would go berserk...there could be some vice-admirals who always stayed in NW(even admiral,did it stated that marine always has just 3 admirals?)....
so new admiral candidate can be from those whom we are yet to seen..
