alas, the Meta epic continues. Hidden so I don't bore you guys:
[hide]-got a freaking 79 on my chemistry test. Naturally I'm disappointed (this was math-intensive, with gas calculations and all that! That's supposed to be my forte…), but I'll admit I should've studied a bit more. On the flip side of things, the class didn't do so hot overall - the average was 61.
Seems I made the benchmark: my professor emailed all of us and she said if you got over 70, then you should be ready for the next level. I'm not too confident about this now, but some people got less than 50. So....perspective?
The final is counted twice, but I'm gonna study a lot more this time around.
-registration, registration. If 10 represents my perfect schedule, and 1 represents getting nothing I wanted, then I call this a....6.5. Got both the chemistry lecture and a lab, barely got Calculus III....in the sense of the latter, it's late at night, so I'm waiting for a spot in the earlier class to open up....or Physics. Need one of those for my major.
Language wise, I wanted Italian. Naturally there was no room for the session I wanted or the other sessions conflicted too much with my personal schedule. So I tried French. Same problem. Spanish? Same problem. ...German it is, for now. I need 12 credits of a language to graduate, so that's 4 semisters...meaning, once I pick one, there's little time to change. Hopefully something will open up, but hey....a new language could be enriching.
And there were two English classes I wanted....one of which would be taught by my instructor now....haha, closed. So I picked a Music class, might switch to this other English class.
It's all the same deal, though. Classes don't start until August 28th, which means I have just about 3 months for somebody to change their minds. And they will, it's impossible for EVERY student to know what they want on the first pick, no?[/hide]
so overall I'm kinda bummed, but at least both situations have their plus sides.
