Second! Howabout now?
-
It was an ok episode. Next week's going to own though, and the following week.
-
Preview for next week.
Also, anybody know what that thing after the episode was with Brand New World playing?

I couldn't watch the whole stream, but at least the second half is how I imagine an episode with the lowest budget possible. Simply horrible.
Apart from the return of "evil rapeface Jinbe" Robin got by far the worst treatment.
!
!
Guess we are back to basics now!
-
Haha yeah…. those faces were pretty derpy.
Other than the animation mistakes, the episode was pretty good, but definitely not as good as last week.
-
There was some really bad art this week. Robin looked terrible at the end for example. But it was mostly a fun and exposition episode, so that's tolerable. I liked that they really focused on Jinbei's decision. Really shows that there is more to it. The jazzy song was really fun and the OST choices great. Not much to say to the reveal, originally kind of surprised me, but wasn't something too amazing. Makes sense, though and really looking forward to more on this and how everything ends up tying together. This is one of my favorite and more interesting plot aspects in the series.

Those pics are stretched up. Which doesn't explain the huge boobs, but at least her forehead looked normal.

I like my women with big foreheads.

I really don't get that..
Why does nobody in that animation room says, hey dude.. Move those eyes and ears up 2 centimeters. That alone would be enough to make her not look like a downie.
-

Doesn't seem stretched to me, the huge boob picture has a somewhat "normal" head. At least compared to the abomination that followed.
-
I don't know what's been going on with Shingaki recently. He was fine for a good long while but this episode and his last one were subpar art-wise.
-
Doesn't seem stretched to me
It is stretched, probably from a 4:3 stream where everything ends up looking deformed. Here's a side by side with the actual scene:
!
-
I see. Well it does look a little better now, but still scary as hell.

http://jul.2chan.net/dec/18/src/1350781036904.jpgNope. Still weird. Her face shouldn't be covering only 50% of her head.
-
Those last pics of Robin from the link, is it sad the animators can't seem to get underboob angles right?
-
Well, the episode wasn't really that bad artwise. Not as good as past Shingaki episodes to be sure, but better than those cherry-picked Robin screenshots would have one believe. Speaking of Robin, I noticed that she got her tan back for the Skypiea flashback, heh.
The most important question that this episode raises is this: how are they drinking from flagons underwater?!
-
Nope. Still weird. Her face shouldn't be covering only 50% of her head.
"Nope" what? You can dislike the correct screenshot, but it's undeniably stretched in the other pic.
Anyway, Robin without her bangs is often drawn with a big forehead in the manga too…no wonder people are saying she looks like Hancock sometimes.
-
Welp, this week's ep was pretty good. Had some hiccups here and there like with the Robin Derp and Boob pics above. But overall it was enjoyable, here's hoping the next episode is better.
-
Well, I dabbled in Paint for a little, and yeah, simply raising Robin's features a little makes a lot of difference. How could they not see that? XD
I'd post the picture, but I have no place to upload it to. Plus, I'm sure others (if they wanted) could do a much better job of it. XP
-
Good lord, Luffy, Nami and Robin had the weirdest derp faces in this episode.
Everyone else looked alright. There was also a weird overuse of the sliding transition during the toast scene.Marie Napole's voice sounded exactly like I thought she would. Was she singing in English or was I just hearing things?
And the reveal at the end was well-done, tension-wise and all.
Overall, an okay episode with less-than average art and animation.
-
Well….i suppose this was the episode with worst art in this arc.
-
No new characters introduced? NO NEW CHARACTERS INTRODUCED?!
We had our very first sassy, no-nonsense black mermaid today! That shit doesn't happen every day... But seriously, though; the art sucked orangutan buttholes. Sometime during the commercial break someone must have slipped high doses of radiation into Robin's food. That aside, everything else was fun and two notches above acceptable. The little fillers added (like Ishilly interacting with Camie and not randomly appearing fine like in the manga) were also nice.
I can't wait for next week's, though.. And esp_eeeeeeecially_ the one aaaaaaafter next week.~ Yummy yummy in de tummy.

Yeah that was part of it. It showed scenes of Enies Lobby for some reason.
What was it?
-
Wow robins boobs were much too much
-
Man, Robin looks a little off in this episode. :(
But the episode was good none the less, especially with the reveal at the end.
-

if i understand correctly what is said:
Enies Lobby available on "TV on Demand" service.
a kind of contest to win some gifts like theather ticket, goodies, pop, t-shirt, etc … .

I really enjoyed myself with this episode. Interactions were nice. Franky VS Zoro and Sanji the bone.

Ah damn. Was thinking it might be something about a potential special, but I guess not.
-
In my opinion, Nami and Robin haven't looked right since the timeskip started.
-
Well the ending of this episode sure pissed me off.
The ceremony was fun, felt they did that well with the music.…but way to make the ending anticlimactic. If it would get these animators to stop fapping over her, Oda should dress up the girls again.
I personally like Nami's outfit because it has essences of the sea/beach in it, so it fits. -
Ok what the hell is wrong with these animators? Are they 12 year old boys? For god's sake those are breasts not beach balls. They should get their act together. This doesn't look sexy it looks disgusting

I couldn't agree more. The "fanservice" has gotten so bad that it's ridiculous. It's not like people only watch One Piece for Nami and Robin's massive Triple F cup boobs. >_>

There are certain sacred moments where you just do not involve fanservice…
The reveal at the end—a legitimately good scene—deliberately exposed angles of Robin that should not be exposed period, but during a scene like that?
The most you see is along with the reveal, half of Robin's torso is revealed in the manga; that's it, it shouldn't have gone any further. -
Wonky art aside, I did find enough to enjoy this episode. Jinbe letting Luffy down gently but really wanting to join them, and the whole crew pulling for him; that whole scene really benefited from the slower pacing and music. It reaffirms my belief that they will get him on their ship someday soon.
Other bits were quite funny as well:
Sanji being slapped down by Usopp only to re-inflate again
Brook losing his energy from touching the water (though just his hand being in there really shouldn't have done much)
Sanji jumping into the water after Brook's example
Chopper's utter disgust at him was worth a laugh, too. -
Frustrating as usual. Lord knows why I even bother anymore (Oh yeah, it's because I always come across these threads right when my schoolwork procrastination kicks in). I know that the voice actors and some of the renowned animators genuinely enjoy their jobs, but clearly Toei has no respect for this series. It's fucking painful to watch them completely ham-hand episode after episode. Is the anime ever going to become consistently awesome again, or am I just holding my breath for nothing? God watching this shit always just ruins my day… not that I'm bitter.
-
I'll admit the art was wonky this week and Robin's boobs were so blown out of proportion that it was ridiculous. Aside from that, though, the actual content was great. Loved the party and the crew interactions. I don't think the stuff with Zoro and Franky fighting or Sanji doing his Brook imitation were in the manga, but I still liked them nonetheless. I mean, come on, that music was pretty damn cool.

This post is deleted!
-
I enjoyed the episode quite a bit.But I found the private talk between Robin and the king serious and funny at the same time.I mean there are talking about the Void Century and ancient weapons and at the same time you see Robin's insanely huge boobs just getting bigger scene after scene. Also,I kinda hope for a decent filler after this arc.Don't get me wrong but I want something different before we go into more intresting things..
-
Can anyone tell me which song Maria Napole was singing? It was an english song, wasn't it?
-
i hope there is a filler
manga spoiler
! i don't know how there going to do 1 unless its under water because of smoker waiting for them
cant wait for next 3~ episodes going to be soo good.
when do the names of future episodes come out anybody know?
manga again
! i want to see smokerrrr
-
Wow, this episode really screwed Robin over. Other than that, I thought it was fine…
-
I actually liked this episode it was good to see the crew acting how they used to back in the day, i especially liked Zoro's comment "A hero is someone who will share his own sake with other people, but i wanna drink it all by myself!" ^.^ Can't wait for next weeks episode!
EDIT:
i hope there is a filler
i agree a filler would be good right now but if what you said is true i don't really see how they could make it work really, although they could have an underwater adventure or something but personally i want them to hurry up and surface, im starting to miss the sky and the birds.
-
I enjoyed this episode overall. Sure, the art of Robin at the end sucked, but there's a lot of episode other than that.
I thought the banquet was handled quite well. I felt like this episode would be make or break with Maria Napole, and I liked how the music was done. I was a little disappointed that the duet with Brook wasn't an actual duet at all, but I don't suppose I'm surprised by that. Also, all of the little filler scenes were nice touches. I especially loved the extra stuff with Sanji, and Franky getting in a dig on Zoro. I also got the feeling that Nami and Fukaboshi had a bit of a drinking contest going on in the manga, which amused me, but I didn't really get that feeling in the anime.
-
Episode was alright. Some weird faces throughout, but some good comedy and Engrish galore. Didn't expect this much criticism of Robin's breasts. They've been doing that with a lot of the female characters lately, from Nami to Hancock to Shirahoshi (even giving her size into account), etc. I agree that this was one case where it distracts from a serious moment, but lately I just laugh at the monstro-melons. Who knows, maybe the president of Toei has a Howard Hughes-style breast fetish?
Sanji being slapped down by Usopp only to re-inflate again
Am I the only one who saw this as an erection joke?
-
weird under boob her tits are technically missing nipples lmao
!
-
The new song that was sung during the celebration was mentioned in the opening credits, it has the same name as the chapter!
http://apr.2chan.net/dec/18/src/1350779689232.jpgIt's sung by Kumiko Mori (who actually bears quite a resemblance!): http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Kumiko_Mori
Here's a track that she did for a Pokemon movie:A new album must be coming soon, did anyone notice the bgm playing just before Luffy interupts the speech? It sounded like a re-worked version of a similar sounding track.
-
Not a bad episode, just not a very good one either. It had some funny moments and I liked the ending eventhough the art was pretty odd on Robin (Lol).
