Oh, I though you meant the sound effects sound like Mihawk.
Chapter 695: Leave it up to me!
-
-
My theory about Law bodyswapping Zoro and Mihawk shortly before Zoro had to go reunite with the Strawhats seems even stronger now.

Say what again ?
-
maybe it is Sabo again?
and I'd love to see a battle with franky super robot tones lot of pacifistas!
-
so finally ussop and nami look badass in this chapter. and franky using shogun properly.Now we got a new swordsman to deal with that that seems as lazy as zoro
-
Next chapter I wonder if we'll get Law's full plan, all three are now caught and Zoro didn't know about an alliance so hopefully we get the full plan and at the end either that mysterious figure or Doflamingo gets there or they both do at the same time.
-
Wow Luffy getting trolled by Oda right now, CC strong enough to fly away? Come on…

Okay, I'll stop here. -

I just saw the complaint that the SH are mowing through enemies way too easily in another forum. lol.

Y'all obviously weren't in the Spoiler thread where I posted that bizarre theory.

It took me alwhile to get but…
ur saying that its "Zoro" coming to PH (having been heart switched with Mihawk).?Nice.
@Low-fi:
Brilliant chapter. Tashigi, Nami and Robin's blank stares at everyone admiring Frankys Robot is priceless
yeah, women :getlost: /jk

wy dont girlks like robots?
-
Good chapter, not a lot development since the break but I guess that would happen now that the nearest dangers have been taken care of.
My first thought about the mysterious figure was Mihawk but it doesn't fit his character to overslept and act all confused (maybe a Monkey family member?)
-
I'll post this in remembrence of Strelok
!
-
If it is really Kuzan, than we have someone who will save Luffy and Co form raging DoFla
I think people are giving DoFla WAY too much credit. Is he strong? Yes of course. Does he have some tricky powers? Absolutely. But to think he has a chance against all of the Strawhats,Law and Smoker together? Sorry but no way he stands a chance against all of them. Hell Akainu would have a hard time taking them all on together
-
Guys, I know who the silhouette is, all the theory makers can go home and sleep now.

Vegapunk sure does have a tall head, like the first shadow of the mystery person, and he has something like a bird, which could be the bird he's on top of? I don't know, just nonsensical guessing, after all, does the WG just let him goes wherever he wants to? Or did he escaped? Thinking that's him just raise more questions.I don't think thats his head. I'm more inclined to agee with Foxy's comment…..
@Foxy:
It looks more like he's sitting on a chair and that's the back of it.
I was thining that, or possibly he's standing and thats his hand on something like a cane or lever.
-
So much speculation on the mysterious man.
My mind says Aokiji, but my heart says it's someone new.
This was such a great chapter! Franky Shogun has just become ten times more cooler!
-
This is Vergo's shoes all over again!
In all seriousness though, I think it's Aokiji since the silhouette and personality sound like him. Why would Oda draw the silhouette face so different though…
-
I know why Aokiji is going back to Punk Hazard.
He forgot his leg.
-
I doubt that it's Aokiji. First of all, shouldn't he know the way to Punk Hazard seeing as how he almost died there? Secondly (and please correct me if I'm wrong), has Oda ever done a completely black silhouette for a character that we've already seen? Lastly, the facial struture doesn't really look anything like him. I'm gonna go with new character, probably a new admiral who's taken up the lazy justice cause since Aokiji's gone. As for why he'd be heading there, I have no idea.

Got hyped for shit. The chapter was truly meh… + No Doflamingo. Should have slept this night. I'm not fine.
Ussop's power was ridiculous back then. The more I see of it, the more I want to puke. A Banana boat, a plant trampolin, paddles and now we have "mario64 flowers like" things ? Tsss, what's next ? A building ? Kazuya Kazama ? Come on Oda...
-

"I've come… to get my leg back"
Someone just parody it over Shanks "end the war". -

He knows the way, but he has just woken up, he was drifting aimlessly while sleeping, so now that he is awake he is just localizing himself so that he can find the direction he should go to get to PH.

Time for a random theory that's ridiculous, but so much so that it might just be true:
Starting non-crazily though:
Since the Cards theme seems likely, Joker, King, Queen, and jack, are the four main members of the Donquixote family.The four seats, are their main lieutenants, their strongest "allies." These are obviously Club, Diamond, Heart, Spade.
Now here is where things get crazy.
Law was the Heart seat, thus Doflamingo gave his crew the title of "Heart Pirates." The only other crew with a name like this that we know of are the Spade Pirates captain by Ace. Now after Ace joined Whiebeard, I'm sure a few crewmembers were left over, and wanted to start the New Spade pirates, but who to be captain? Sabo
Now hang with me for a second here. Under orders from Dragon, Sabo had to infiltrate the biggest crime syndicate in the world: the Donquixote family. The easiest way for him to do so was as a pirate to gain his trust. Thus over the course of he has worked his way close to Doflamingo, and is that bad-ass looking guy with the top hat we saw earlier at Dressrosa.Alright, there you have it, my half-baked, super dumb and ridiculous theory.

I like.
I am more interested with the Ace aspect of the theory than the Sabo part (but can totally see that happening). Hope something close to this takes place in the story.

Coverpage
I'm a little sad that the granny didn't obliterate Caribou. But at least we will get to see "you know who" one installment sooner. The thing I don't get, just what is Caribou asking the old lady? I can't make anything out of this. Is it the Japanese symbol for harbour? A doodle of a ship with a question mark on top? I mean, there is already a sign which points to the direction of the harbour, so it can't be harbour related. Or is that the joke? To show what an idiot he is?Alright, now comes the part where things get weird. I like that Usopp and Nami get the badly needed time in the sun, but everything about it screams forced. Nami even uses the words I bet most had in mind there "damn she did nothing so far, she needs a fight". Sorry, but these alibi-performances are a real letdown and insulting to the characters involved. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but at this point I would prefer Robin (who was no better than a lifeless doll during the whole arc) to stay back and watch the show till Punk Hazard is over. Give her a real role in the next arc and I will forget about it Oda, but please stop this forced crap. I understand that he loves his characters and wants them to do something fancy, but there is nothing wrong with keeping them low till their time comes.
That drawing could be caribou asking for kaidou.though i'm not sure.
about the nami and usopp part,i think it was handled very well.the situation seems opposite of forced.except by SH,that is.see,usopp and nami themselves force law to let them fight.almost all of SH have at some point or other,shown inclination to fight certain opponent.usopp and nami wanted to fight these 2 because they were running away,and had presumably admitted defeat.so they felt like they could beat them easily.they grabbed their chance,as they were tired of running.luffy convinced law because they wanted to fight.remember when zoro fought with mihawk at baratie,he stopped yosaku and johnny from interfering?i think this is similar to that.
16 characters of get the fuck out
yup,i'm the only one.:ninja:
[sarcasm off]it was a joke.go read some memes.
seriously though,among all the crap the've put in their releases,this was the the only tolerable one.i personally liked some memes,like the crocodiles"i don't always" and the franky one. -
I just can't see Ace ever having been a subordinate of DD. He was too proud for that, even to join WB's crew he gave a lot of trouble.
-
I guess it's already been said by now, but what if Aokiji's reason for coming back was to collect the frozen prisoners? It was assumed by a lot of people that they were some Level 6 escapees, possibly incapacitated by Aokiji before his fight with Akainu on the island. Yeah, I dunno how he'd cart all of them back, but hey.
But would his appearance really threaten Doflamingo much? Based just on DF strength, it might - but because Aokiji is no longer an Admiral, he doesn't have authority over a Shichibukai.It makes sense, to me at least, why Aokiji would be completely silhouetted. He's changed a lot since the timeskip - scarred, one-legged and bedraggled. (But it'd basically be a surprise to no one because of Film Z.)
So we've got his personal ties to Punk Hazard, plus the loose end of the frozen guys.
But, as usual, Oda will probably surprise us with an entirely new character. Or it's Vegapunk. -

Secondly (and please correct me if I'm wrong), has Oda ever done a completely black silhouette for a character that we've already seen?
Momo, just a couple chapters back.
@Foxy:
Kizaru is the only admiral left and there aren't any new ones.
There should be TWO new admirals actually. With Kizaru leaving and Aikanu promoted, that leaves 2 spots open.
There's 2 unknown warlord slots as well (though one is probably Buggy).
The military doesn't just leave these positions empty when someone leaves the job. You promote the next in line.
-
Aokiji makes a lot of sense, but I still think the silhouette is off…?
-
@Foxy:
So, this guy is Sabo, according to your theory?
That's the one! Because, why the hell not?
I would like to note that this is the first time I've ever actually declared a "Sabo is X person" theory. And the only reason I'm doing it now is because of the whole "family" thing. It makes it all seem like such a big operation that Dragon would want some kind of agent keeping tabs.
I just can't see Ace ever having been a subordinate of DD. He was too proud for that, even to join WB's crew he gave a lot of trouble.
I can't either. If going with my dumb theory, Sabo would have known about Ace's crew, and used it to his advantage to join Doflamingo.
But then again, this is most likely what didn't happen. -
@RobbyBevard:

Unlike the warlord spots, we don't know if there are always a set number of admirals. Back during chapter 0, the only admiral that we were aware of was Sengoku.
It's completely possible that nobody was appointed (Jinbe even said that marines have been given more freedom in the way they handle things, due to the loss of Aokiji).
That and the fact that none of the vice admirals seemed even close to the admirals during the war.
-
@Foxy:
So, this guy is Sabo, according to your theory?
The worst thing is, looking now, I can see stitches, and Sabo WAS injured… so it seems more likely.
Fuck. -

No, I meant have we ever had a character fully revealed and then they turned up later as a silhouette? We've never seen Momo.

The problem with "Ace" was that was his real name. "Joker" is an alias, so that part doesn't work. I'll give you the Queen, King, Jack, and Joker part, but it starts to fall apart after that.
-
This new theory also gives a few more reasons for Law coming to Marineford.
beside to help Luffy but "maybe" to help Ace perhaps. Also when Law was at Amazon Lily, there was an impression that he knew something more about luffy, in particular his strawhat.
Also the mentioning of the will of D.
!
Maybe he heard something about "D" from Ace. I am kinda reaching but its a possibility with this new theory.
-
No, I meant have we ever had a character fully revealed and then they turned up later as a silhouette? We've never seen Momo.
Brownbeard fits this.
-
@Galaxy:
Brownbeard fits this.
Also Crocodile in Impel Down at first.
! …and Lucci as a shadow broker. :ninja:

Everyone is sabo…
Maybe this time it's Kaidou!
[insert 5 pages of "evidence" here… bla bla "both kaidou and the silhouette are in the same manga... one piece!"... bla bla] -

It was never stated that there has to be three Admirals.
But I'm getting confused, wasn't the reason the World Government gave unprecedented authority to the Navy because they lost Sengoku, Aokiji, and Garp? And we saw the prominent Vice-Admirals in Film Z and none of them were promoted, but I guess it remains to be seen.
-

I would just like to say that I don't think Ace was associated with Doflamingo in any way.
But yeah, the first half is what is an actual theory I support. The second half is spitballing for the sake of fun.
-
Maybe Joker had rivalries with…
Ace = Spade Pirates
Law (Jack?) = Heart Pirates
Jozu (King?) = Diamond Pirates (because he's diamond jozu!)
Alvida (Queen?) = Club Pirates (because she uses a club!)Surely must be it
-
I can clearly see it now: A One Piece poker set in the future!
EDIT: Oh wait…the Joker doesn't belong into poker...
Well, then I meant...Quartets...or something... -
