Go Tanwa!
Somebody's going to find their city taken when they drop the pursuit…
Next episode, how Heki will manage to turn his streak of misfires into an even bigger failure.

I rather fear that when Heki will become a sudden hero( he has to be at some point, lol) , how Hara will handle the scenario. I hope it won't be silly.
Chapter's out in the usual place.
Tanwa is the best <3
You're the worst kind of person.
I'm in love with Yotanwa once again.
That was an awesomely drawn exchange.
We've reached maximum suspense. Love it when that happens.
! I know its a shonen and obviously Yotanwah wont die here; she also has her back to the wall, so wont need to worry about her rear; while at the same time Heki/whatshername migth fall into the Qanrong-Zhao rear, and there is still the trumpcard about the Quanrong city being taken, destroying their morale; but all that said…. damn, that looks like a bad situation, especially in the condition that the mountain tribes are now and just how insanely outnumbered they are, with no room for manouvre or falling back
Also, break again next week. Same as One Piece. (or HxH or World Trigger, but lets not talk about these two). And with Shokugeki having turned into a total wreck, I guess its time to catch up to Promised Neverland and Haikyu for my weekly shonen dose.
^Situation seems desperate. The gap between the number of soldiers seems to much.
its seems they need more people, i see desertion from mountain tribes as the only real reason for victory
Agreed. Unless they somehow slay Rozo and his death results in a complete collapse of the Quanrong, I don't see these current odds turning into anything other than a one-sided slaughter or giant deus-ex-machina
Yontanwa will have to personally kill Rozo 1 on 1 for this to turn out ok. If that goes down I can see the Quanrong submitting to her immediately.
No idea how she'll win this. Maybe something to do with it being night.

And Dr. Stone?
So I've had time for a thorough read and almost caught up the current arc.
After giving it a good look, I reckon this manga is full of quirks. Show don't tell is apparently something that only happens to other authors, there's dumb exposition all over the place at times, individual strength reaches ridiculous levels, I have no idea if the tactics are anywhere near plausible (but I'd guess not seeing how they sometimes involve cavalry charging down a freaking cliff), speaking of their horses feel more like bikes than living creatures, the art is painstakingly detailed but at the same time fundamentally flawed…The list goes on and on, objectively it's an average shonen through and through.
Yet I find myself completely hooked by the story, the politics part and some of the character arcs, plus the suspense in those battles is real since you have this swarm of secondary characters who may kick the bucket at any time. So I'm truly looking forward to what comes next.
Now that I have a better grasp of the whole picture, though, I wonder if and how the current arc can reach a proper conclusion. Assuming the Qin armies do conquer Gyou, with Retsubi under Zhao's control they will still be cut from their supply chain while defending a city that has emptied its granaries long ago. In other words starvation should still be a problem and no amount of victory is going to change that.
I suppose Heki and Kitari will provide enough of a distraction. There's also the request Yotanwa made from the old man Enpo from the Enshu tribe. Couldn't help noticing Enshu tribe wasn't among those that Yotanwa gave orders to.

Oh and can't believe I forot Feego. I'll punish myself with 10 whiplashes.
Yontawa been a letdown even acting like a damsel in distress this chapter.
Yeah, i thought her to be stronger. I guess she is saving it for Rozo.
Bajio has 50% chance of survival i guess. Either he falls but throw away Tanwa at the last moment or he makes it with breaking his limbs. Either way it should be his last feat in this campaign.

Well the fact Yontawa been outplayed doesn't help either. But disappointing that she's already fucked while Bajio can do what did this chapter.
I agree all of this is a bit too much one person vs army stuff in this chapter
Yo Tan Wa's horse fell on top of her foot. I can't see the disappointment after escaping the encirclement.

Nothing is shown that indicate she has been 'outplayed', on the contrary it seems she had a concrete plan which couldn't be materialised until Sun risen.Hara gave further hints in this chapter. I guess that 'rendezvous point' is where old Enpa is setting up Yotanwa's gambit.

Well compared to what Ouki and Moubu went through it is. can you see them being picked up like a damsel in distress like Yontawa was this chapter?

Expect the fact she's been pushed into a corner this much. Hell it's a good job her people are monsters otherwise she'll been dead twice over already.
Of course her people are monsters. Hara has been portraying them as such since the start of the manga.
If they had a broken foot and without a horse, I would imagine. Akou was being carried not too long ago.
I think that what Yo Tan Wa is facing was a lot more dire than what Ou Ki or Mou Bu faced. Well, I imagine you are talking about the ambush before Ou Ki's death.
I fucking love Yotanwa.
I thought it was new chaoter when you posted this
I thought there was a new chapter first when he posted, and now when you posted.
#thepain
Man Yotanwa getting shown up again by Bajio. To think I was excited for what she can finally do.
! So the cliffhanger last chapter wasnt one and again the whole chapter is just about YTW plus Baijio against random Qanrong soldiers and the plot twist at the end is exactly what everyone had guessed.
I cant say that I am much excited. At least hopefully next chapter we will cut away to the other battlefields
New chapter, enjoy~
Damsel in Yontawa will she'll be henceforth from now on.
I sure wish every damsel was like Yo Tan Wa. Kills a bunch on a broken foot, gets hit because she gets worried about Baijo getting stabbed.
She even killed the guy that sucker punched her.
She has been a badass damsel through and through.
Bajio is gonna die.
I guess I was not the only one thinking about that, with the focus on their relationship. But if Baijo goes, you know Taijufu is going to become 1000x stronger. Jajaja
So Yontanwa's move would have been over had it not for Bajio?! Now Hara will redeem her by defeating Quanrong king herself. That's lame writing….

Doesn't change the fact for 2 chapters in a row she's need saving by her subordinate. The only reason she's still alive is because Yontawa is a woman.
Idk why two chapters of her fending for herself against insurmountable odds to bait the enemy with help from a subordinate and repeated military victories suddenly qualifies her primarily as a damsel in distress.

Don't you know? Someone showing a moment of apparent weakness or getting help is immediately a loser ,damsel in distress, weakling ,etc.
! I wonder who'll be the one who'll shut the Quanrong king up for good? Feego is a badass but probably won't be him and Tanwa/Bajio is out.
Me think there is a good chance of Feggo king dying in the hand of Rozo. Hara may as well give Rozo some hype in battle prowess before he goes down to Yotanwa.

Yotanwa is useless right now and to busy playing the damsel role.

I dont think the author will follow through on the feego's king promise "to win the day and her nethers"
But now that I thonk about it he could still die afterwards, so maybe its possible though yontwana could always get an adrenaline "breaking through their limits" type buff
Unfortinately feggo will die and naturally heki will save the day
I love that picture of Baijo with his mask broken. I am not sure if the author would kill him, if he did I would be quite surprised. The author made Baijo stance quite gruesome, with eye balls flying. The Pegasi to the rescue, that made me chuckle. Taijufu is burning with passion.
Yo Tan Wa has ensnared the Zhao soldiers by exposing herself as bait. It was risky, not to mention the state of her army with their hunger and all. Now, would the general that was fighting Heki and Kitari go back to the city? Or, will he flank the Feego King.
Either way, I find Kitari better suited to take down the missing general, for revenge and all that jazz. Which leaves Heki open. I do not think Feego King will die as I imagine Rozo surrendering after the fact that the city has been taken over. I can see the orphan trying to be smart and Heki messing up his plan.
Heki has messed up enough its almost getting stale, he should either die or do something good. Possibly both at the same time.
Good chapter. I had a feeling Bajio might die last week (or was it the week before ?) when they jumped the chasm, but now the main cast is reunited I'm going to bet he is merely out of commission until after the battle.
As for the Feego king, I reckon he has been developped just enough to serve as hype for Rozo without having to sacrifice any key mountain tribe figures (Tajifu, Bajio, etc.). It will be a shame if he goes, though, I've grown rather fond of him.
@Long:

I couldn't agree more. Yet, with how his army and the Mera tribe are at the moment I don't see them accomplishing much more than intercepting the third brother when he inevitably attempts to either jump into Yotanwa's battlefiled or go back to the Quanrong city. I will be sad if Heki dies in the process, though: he is one of the rare protagonists who have managed to reach a high rank without displaying absurd levels of strength. It's good to have a few of them around.
Speaking of the Quanrong city, what do you people think its part will be? Provide the food Quin armies need so badly is a given, but could it also become a bridgehead for their campaign in replacement of the initial target?

I think Feego will lose hopefully not die he's a great addition to Yontawa party. I think Yontawa will have to be the to kill Rozo witht them being both Kings of the Mountain people. But it be ridiculous in her current state if she did.
Ill take a willpower/nakama powerup tbh, guys always seen to get them and in kingdom theres been people who have been in almost as bad situations. Idk if Rozo will fall today though.
Go Heki. Woooooo….

Based on this comment, I thought Heki actually done something
Lol if Heki does Yontawa job like she hasn't already look pathetic enough these past chapters.
! I was facepalming when King Feego revealed the city seize plan, but without 4D Chess Zhao guy, Heki's tactics could save the day.
