@K.:
The Hi Shin Unit is being attacked by the fourth Zhao general, that's why they are retreating while Gyo'un and Banana chase Akou.
You are right, I missed that. That makes that chapter more reasonable

Awww, don't change scenes now!
This chapter would have been better if, instead of panels with Houken, we had panels of Chougaryuu reacting.
Can't wait for Heki to f**k up again.
Heki is strong. Heki is boss. Can't wait to see him wreck those barbarians!
My man Heki.
http://sensescans.com/reader/read/kingdom/en/52/562/page/1
! Never disappoints.
But Heki got wrecked.
I actually really like Heki, so seeing him constantly perform underwhelmingly is a bit of a bummer. I have faith he can turn it around though…
just lol….....
Bunen just fucked himself up good. He's the kind of person our captain hates the most.
I'm amazed at how Heki remains dumbfounded in the face of the enemy's savagery after 3 days of the same. Was it not enough of a clue that they stood up to Yotanwa's horde ? And there I was, thinking he might eventually achieve something… :ninja:
I still like him though, so here's to hoping his claims at the meeting won't turn out to be just the fancy words of a dead man.
I don't particularly like Heki but he's just a mediocre man among extraordinary people. I think he's like Mougou (father of Moubu), an average man who accumulates experience over the years and reaches the top in the end, but can never compete with the geniuses like Renpa. Maybe it was a little too early for Heki to be a general, but whatever.
If he survives all the crap he has to deal with, his experience will one day prove invaluable.
The fact that he was shocked that Bunmen(?) had elite soldiers in his HQ guard was just dumb. C’mon Hara.
Even more humiliating is being unmounted by a no name cavalry. And he is a 5000 man commander! It seems like Hara simply dislike him and get satisfaction from making him a idiot.

If you're referring to Heki, he's actually a general. Which makes it much worse haha
Reminder that Heki became General because of family relations.
There is also that.

For all his bravado, Heki did get his rations burnt and is probably at his limit. Still, he will come around soon enough.
@K.:

Yeah! I know. Hara can't be that much heartless.Lol….
Heki just tripped a bit and fell off a horse. Now that he's seen through that the Bunen is so afraid that he kills his own men to not let anybody throguh to him it'll be piece of cake. He'll openly challenge Bunen into duel and hence everyone will open path for him to take him down easily.
The ending is so obvious. There's no way that Katari didn't see this coming and use the corpses to absord/obscure the attack. Also Heki and Kitari are officially being shipped.
Yeah! Seems that the sword though cut him, didn't penetrate through him. it is damn time that Yotanwa's men win a fight. Hara is already trying hard to make Quanrong tribe too OP and i understand that, but it is damn time that Yotanwa's men win a fight.
Hohoho, more f*cking up.
I do agree that this last sword stroke is ambiguous.
Though, there's only so much trouble you can throw at your protagonists before the comeback feels like a gigantic asspull. It's more than about time someone from the Qin armies achieved anything, really :getlost:
(Yes there was that thing with Shin, but taking some lesser general's head won't get them out of this mess so I'm not going to count it until they're able to take the next step and remove his army as well)
overexageration to prove a point…didnt like the chapter
I guess it's possible he got stabbed through. Qin is bound to lose a leader or two in this campaign. And Katari isn't a long standing character.
He did get stabbed. I am pretty sure you can see the blade sticking out on the left.
I think the chapter was a bit predictable, on how it built up the cathartic moment. Although, I must say that Fasha Heki is a beast for throwing himself at those horses, even getting the kill on the last one. I would be satisfied if Heki is already on his way to cut Bunen(is that his name?). Otherwise, I am not sure how is he meant to keep his promise to Yo Tan Wa. I mean, I say he gets the Orphan, and that would be good enough for his current blunder. The three generals for Zhao are going to die for sure, the only question left is: by whom?
Maybe Kitari gets her revenge.

! The score is now at 1-1 in dead Generals.
Man, that was brutal. Love the end.
I gotta admit, this here series has me holding my breath more than One Piece lately. For all its faults, the suspense in those battles is real.
Feego is boss. That atmosphere at the end was just awesome. The last panel was a little dull, though.
Shame about Katari. To die like that without even drawing some blood from Bunen. That guy is so fucked. Heki rape time incoming
Man I love Feego great addition to Yontawa army.
The only problem i have about this is that the mera leader wasnt even shaped much as a character i would rather it is opposite the sister dies and brother starts to get fleshed out
Dont want be negative but…
Another chapter that i didn't care much ,most characters present are really so undeveloped or so unknown that is really hard care for them i barely feel anything from it.
There's a limit to how many minions of side characters can be developed. That said, the point of these chapters isn't about Katari or Kitari, but rather these chapters are about further developing Heki.

I agree with that but there should be atleast bit more of attempt to developed them since chapter focus on loss of Katari and the emotions of his men and sister.
I mean this shouldn't be all for Heki sake since mountain people i assume will more present in story going foward and we should know more about their leaders so we readers can care down the line atleast .
I already give up the notion that Hara is going touch more on enemies at this point.
! *Yotanwah teleports into the rear of the enemy
*the naruto commander teleports into their rear
! Seriously, moving a larger army so close should be observable, even in the midths of battle.
! But that aside, that battlefield is a lot closer and more brutal then many fans probably thought. The mountain tribes are not only evenly matched in pure fighting power but also in leadership qualities.
I had speculated that the Qanrong would be integrated into Yotanwahs army once they were defeated, and that she then would go on to intervene either on the Shukai Plains or the Siege of Gyou, but it looks like they are killing each other off and whoever is left standing will be too weak to really decide any other battlefield.
Never fear, for Yontawa is here!

Hara simply can't afford to develop minor side characters anymore. Whatever bit of touches he can put he does. You know Qin is gonna swallow all six states eventually, right? We are in chapter 565 and not a single state has fallen yet. So, you can imagine what amount of hurdles Hara has to overcome to bring the story to an end. I think he is more focused on putting the battles to their full glories and making it such that Qin's victory is hard earned.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Never fear, for Yontawa is here!
I can't wait see that castle goes up in smoke now that Rozo has left. The 'request' Yotanwa made to that old man must had something to do with Quanrong's castle or their supplies….
So apparently everyone can do mass teleport. Great, I'm thrilled. Or not. I hope we get to see some action from Yotanwa, or that she has an ace up her sleeve (the old man ? I don't even remember in which chapter that was)
Fun fact: I've come to realize that we've been at this stupid battle for the best part of a year. Tried to get a grasp of the whole situation, it turns out I have absolutely no idea who's even alive anymore on the other front, or how the mountain tribes ended like that.
And it's only step 1 of Quin barely establishing a brudgehead in the first out of 6 kingdoms ? On a weekly basis I enjoy the read, but I really wish events would be paced faster…
How long did the Coalition Army battle lasted again?
No idea, honestly. I'm not saying this is something new, I guess the pacing was always like this but I'm noticing only now. Probably because I skimmed quite a few chapters when I picked up the series a year ago (didn't have time for a thorough binge-reading)
Its not really teleporting but we zoom way in to the battle when a surprise is coming
Hara really staked the deck against Yontawa and her people in this battle. Looking forward to seeing how she turns this around even I can guess how they do. Yontawa kills or makes Roza sumbit to snd join her army while that old man frees the prisoners.
I agree with that but there should be atleast bit more of attempt to developed them since chapter focus on loss of Katari and the emotions of his men and sister.
It is really hard though without making the manga even longer. Sure he could do away with the scenery shots from time to time, personally I like them.

I do no think this is solely Heki's development, Kitari is the one that will stay and be developed as the manga progresses. (Imagine she dies this arc.)

Yeah, I do not think they will be integrated neither. Maybe the few that surrender? I think the reason they are as close in leadership is the Orphan. He has been good at anticipating their moves.
About the teleportation, I always like going back to the terrain they are fighting on. Which does not always translate well, especially when they are zoomed in. I was going to post several, but thankfully I got an overview:

I think there is enough coverage to mount a surprise attack.

I was of the idea that these days the author was getting more into the unification of China plot, at a faster pace. I feel like before we had time to do side stories, still relevant to the unification, in a way but beside being a campaign. Here a list
[hide]Sei Kyou's Rebellion Arc
Keiyou Campaign Arc (War)
Escape from Zhao Arc
Assasination Plot Arc
Training Arc
Battle of Bayou Arc (War)
Alliance Arc
Third Faction Arc
Sanyou Campaign Arc (War)
Sanyou Aftermath Arc
Coalition Invasion Arc (War)
Kyou Kai's Revenge Arc
Conspiracy in the Court Arc
Fire Dragons of Wei Arc (War)
State of Ai Arc (War~)
Koku You Campaign Arc (War)
Bureaucrats Job Arc
Western Zhao Invasion Arc (War)[/hide]
Out of 18 arcs (all with varying range in chapter count) 8 have been wars. I would not be surprised if we start getting War -> Aftermath -> War… from now on. At least the frequency we are getting wars is increasing. This arc is shaping up to be around 100 chapters long. Around 30 chapters to go, and that seems fast with everything that is going on in Gyou, Shin, Mou Ten and Ou Sen and the mountain tribe.
--- Chapters thoughts, missed last week:
Glad Heki recognizes that Kitari is the new light of the Mera Tribe. I also like that Heki took the time to learn more of the Mera's tribe commands. The battlefield is getting intense, so many options. Heki and Kitari will come back just can't wait to see how.
So weak~ moving on.
Side way horses, that was amazing, I love it! I wonder what Shunmen saw.
Finally Tan Wa in a predicament. Let's see how she gets out of it.
@K.:
Here a list
Thanks, it provides a better overview of the story structure and what I may have missed.
i am wondering if there will be an attempt to get in contact with the familyes from the enemy, make sure they wont be killed when the men turn on zhou. that way the tables will get turned emidiatly, local people are willing to live in qin onder guidence of yontawa. and the food problem gets solves as the "enemy" will share with qin

That's the most probable scenario. In fact i would a certainty. But Yotanwa need to kill Rozo before that happens.
Chapter's out in the usual place.
Tanwa is the best <3
