Not much happens but its pretty much a build up to strong opponents for this arc.
The interaction between the straw hats was the best part.
The drug seemed to be a plot device to have strong opponents. The brothers are probably using this drug as well since the size of their footsteps changed.

Very good chapter, even if its a bit late compared to the precedent weeks
Thanks everyone!
Awesome chapter. Here are things I'm thinking of that haven't already been talked about:
.. On Linlin's possible connection:
–> Don't forget this little number from before: This weird tree, and this weird tree. (King Cannon @ APF)
The candy Big Mom wants is made on Fishman Island, clearly WITHOUT any growth-meth. The only way I see them eventually crossing plot-paths is if Linlin's crew is supplying Ceasar Clown with the candy, which is definitely possible.. and really, only if that stupid tree that King Cannon found happens to be important in the future :P
\ What does Ceasar Clown want with Smoker's heart?
<-> Law has been taking hearts for some unknown amount of time, but offered them to the Marines in exchange for his Shichibukai status (unless I'm mistaken).
–> The heart puts CC in "good spirits."
I don't see why CC would want hearts, because he shouldn't have access to the 100 hearts Law previously stole. In conclusion: Ceasar Clown is doing way too much stuff. I think that he's going to be a bad guy for a couple arcs to come, and won't be defeated at the end of this one.
I've just had some thoughts (since everyone seems to have gone major hate mode on Law)
Law may not have been responsible for any of this part of the experiment. Maybe he created the drug but maybe not intended for the kids.
What if CC somehow got some of that stuff in the candy into Law and so he's forced to work under him? I mean the stuff isn't just in the candy, plus CC is a logia… he could have caught Law off guard (like Smoker did) and yeah...
I mean Law demanded an explanation when he saw the kids. Perhaps he knew what the drug did and so when he saw the symptoms on the kids it clicked and so he went to complain to CC
Just saying.

So I'm not the only one hoping this?
Seriously.
LAW. WHERE BE YER CREW?
Oh yes, things are getting heated!!
Teach: Yo Hannyabal, i really happy for you and imma let you finish your duty, but Magellan was one of the best wardens ever!
One of the best wardens ever!
I think to many people are linking the candy that the kids got, and Big Mom's candy. It's pretty obvious that the "candy" they are recieving is just a way to get them to eat the drug. I don't see how you can automatically try to connect the two.
Chopper and mad scientists clearly aren't compatible, lol.
Either way, really good chapter, as usual. It's interesting to see that those Yeti/Eighty Brothers defeated Sanji, Brook, and Zoro and 'em so easily (so far as we can tell, anyway), although, as others have suggested, it probably didn't involve any direct, physical fighting, but was more reminiscent to the utilization of a gas or somethin'.
Still, they're pretty damn big, lol. It's not like Luffy and his crew haven't fought bigger opponents in the past, but nonetheless..

No they're not. The YETI Cool Brothers (seriously, is mangapanda's translator on crack?) are evidently giants and those guys from Law's crew are not.

Maybe Sanji and Zoro were arguing that they did not pay attention and got owned.

Because this is Oda we're talking about and he has this thing about linking things in ways we never guess. We try to guess, but a lot of the stuff comes out of left field. Maybe this time we've got a good guess. Maybe not. Who knows?
To, ironically, steal and paraphrase a quote from Naruto: Oda is the #1 mangaka at surprising people~

They could have been modified.
I mean look at Brownbeard.

Yes, the drug seems to be related to the kids growing, so they could've took big doses of it or whatever.

There's a difference between adding crocodile legs to a crippled pirate and making powerful giants out of one's own crew members. :P

THAT on the other hand makes at least somewhat sense.
Finally a honorable chapter for Sanji. Like the, he feels responsible for the samurai… But Nami is smart as fuck... Zoro go with them and Sanji will be in fighting mode all time xD
LOL Robin had some hilarious lines this chapter.
Shulololololo another laugh added to the One Piece list of weird laughs
Robin's been so harsh on Franky-in-Chopper's body in this chapter. Seems she does not appreciate him taking Chopper's cuteness away by making the ugly faces and saying stuff
@Le:
actually the yeti brothers are:
Johney and Yosaku
Chopper, wow, great character development from him, and him been in Sanji's body makes his outrage seem more genuine? I can't think of the right word but just wow. **Does anyone think this is the arc where Chopper completely defines himself as a doctor and therefore recieve a entry number(am not sure whether he has one but I remember someone saying he hasn't) just like Ussop did in enies lobby?[/[/B]QUOTE]
They all have entry numbers. You mean a chapter titled with his number? Usopp's was ch 665 titled "the third one and seventh one". No, Chopper hasn't had a chapter titled with his number yet. I found thses by looking at chapter titles at Mangahare-
Zoro = First - ch 6 "The First Crewmember"
Nami = Second - ch 94 "Second Person"
Usopp = Third - ch 665 "the Third One and Seventh One"
Sanji = Fourth - ch 65 "Member No.4"
Chopper =Fifth
Robin = Sixth
Franky = Seventh -ch 665 "the Third One and Seventh One"
Brook = Eighth - ch "The Eighth"So far only Chopper and Robin don't have a chapter with tierh numbers on it. I thought that Robin did during the Enies Lobby/Water 7 acr but I didn't see any.
I've just had some thoughts (since everyone seems to have gone major hate mode on Law)

Law couldn't have created the drug. Chopper said that the Doctorine was one of the few doctors permitted to use it. So its not a new created drug. ….unless you were meaning created as manufatcuring it not in the one the first created it, if so never mind :)**
LOL Robin had some hilarious lines this chapter.
Shulololololo another laugh added to the One Piece list of weird laughs
We knew about that one since the previous chapter.
I'm thinking that Blackbeard can only extract a person's ability shortly after they die, hence why he pounced on Whitebeard as soon as possible. Once a person with an ability dies and too much time passes, the fruit grows again (wherever the hell they do), so Blackbeard probably jumps in and interrupts the process before that can happen. The Blackbeard Pirates are on an ability "hunt", and they don't seem the type to catch and release. Don't worry, I'm sure the Venom Demon still lives. Also, as others mentioned, the extraction of Whitebeard's ability was Blackbeard's the first ever attempt, so Magellan definitely still has his ability (and one hot, sadistic babe lusting after him)…
DF's regrow when the user dies? When was that mentioned?
i got a feeling that he will be the one who beat up those yeti brothers. luffy and co somehow got disabled (with nerve gas maybe) and kinemon saves the day.
That would be AWESOME!! I really wanna see the samurai in action!

I think that's because of how their arcs panned out. Chopper didn't get a "the fifth" because it would have given away that Vivi wasn't joining the crew, and Robin's defining "I'm joining the crew for reals" moment was in the middle of the Ennies lobby arc, so having a title like "the sixth" would basically guarantee that they'd all make it out okay (not that it wasn't expected, but it would unnecessarily break the tension of the arc)**
I'm still trying to figure out why Law is there. He doesn't seem like the type of dude to just visit an island and willing help guys who can't walk get new legs.
perfect picture for this chapter
!

Ironically, I think its the reason they let their guard down.
I think this arc is really shaping up to be the darkest in OP yet.
I think the best comedic line in the episode was, "I think she broke my will to see her panties"
@krule274:
DF's regrow when the user dies? When was that mentioned?
Well since Oda said that one fruit cannot exists twice at the same time and that a certain doctor will explain it in the future, the logical conclusion is that the Devil Fruits (since they ARE fruits) grow back after the user dies.
Wow, I hadn't realized how HUGE the Yeti Brothers are. On the second to last page, there's a panel of Brook lying in the snow next to one of their foot prints, and its bigger than he is.

Ok, I just wasn't sure if it was ever actually said or if it was just assumed.
@krule274:
DF's regrow when the user dies? When was that mentioned?
ITs implied when in a SBS Oda said that the same fruit has existed through time, so others have had same fruit but not at same time. it was in SBS 48 the question and answer came up=
"D: Excuse me!! May I pose a serious question to the typically-vulgar SBS?? In Volume 46,Usopp said that the same power doesn't exist twice. But this doesn't make sense with what you said in the Volume 45 SBS… If the Gomu Gomu Fruit was in a book of fruits, then Luffy HAD to have eaten at least the SECOND known example of the fruit! Now, most beautiful and intelligent Ei-chan, explain it all! ✩ P.N. Takafi O: Very sharp of you. But I'm cool. I haven't made any mistakes. As a hint, let me rephrase whatUsopp is saying. "The same powers don't exist twice AT THE SAME TIME". How's that? For more detail, you'll just have to wait for a certain professor to make his appearance in the story, and explain exactly what the Devil Fruits REALLY are… Eventually. "
The red quote implies that the devil fruit regrows. Which makes sense, as there is a book that lists the devil fruits that tells what they (the known ones) look like and what powers they have. To know what the look like and power are, someone had to have eaten them previous to writting about it. From the first chapter, we knew that the Gomu Gomu no Mi was listed in the book and that how the RedHair Pirates knew that Luffy ate the fruit when they saw his arm streatch.
perfect picture for this chapter
LOL Wonderful!!
I'm not going to get into the candy linked to big mom. It's plausible but for now I can't speculate on that.
However I do believe Zoro and Sanji were caught off guard. Brook, however, did notice them. He must have seen them and drawn his weapon for we see his sword stuck in the snow. Brook probably noticed them and couldn't get Zoro and Sanji to stop fighting long enough to notice the yeti cool brothers. As for how they knocked them out is still a mystery. There does not seem to be a lot of disturbance to the surrounding snow. Gas? Maybe. Tranquilizer? Possibly.
Next chapter when?
Also I doubt the Yeti's used gas because it shouldn't affect Brook.
This was a early chapter because the manga was on break this week so no new chapter will come out this wednesday.
Hm, things are getting interesting…...I wasn't expecting Zoro, Sanji, and Brook to all get defeated.....but it's more dramatic that way, I suppose. (Man, the Straw Hats in different bodies is still funny, lol at Robin telling Franky to stop saying things in Chopper's body)
I did like how Oda's putting the focus of the outrage against Caesar's experimentation on Chopper…..it'd be a nice change of pace if he had to fight him and not Luffy. And I definitely want to see more of the Cool Brothers next chapter, too.
(Also I feel really bad for Magellan, guy not only gets his wing replaced but he gets demoted)
He's a clever bastard.
No they're not. The YETI Cool Brothers (seriously, is mangapanda's translator on crack?) are evidently giants and those guys from Law's crew are not.
The drugs the kids eat turn them into giants this also explains why they did not kill the strawhats!
The yeti brothers are Johnny and Yosaku on crack.
@Law:

Excuse me, what? No. The candy is laced with NHC10, a drug whose withdrawal symptoms are so potent, that the children can't leave the facility, because they need their daily fix. It has nothing to do with the kids getting bigger, although that is clearly Caesar's doing as well.
Wow the meth reference and withdrawal in children is surprisingly dark, I'm really liking this arc.
Robin getting pissed off at Franky for acting so un-cute in Chopper's body was easily my favorite part of the chapter.
Things are getting set up as pretty dark though, with all the drugging and experimenting on children and what-not.
It was an incredible chapter! Robin snapping at Franky was hilarious. I am really starting to like this ark. Things are really getting interesting here I can't wait for the next chapter.
Interesting, dark, wonderful chapter.
Huzzah for Usopp not using a Pop Green, too.

Agreed, I enjoy the pop greens and even his stars, but I just wish he would do so god damn sniping
Lol
it easy how sanji zoro and brook got defeated
you got 1 big foot
3 humans
3 humans - 1 big foot = 3 downs
Nice chapter Chopper really did stand out here as a doctor
but i'm wondering he was saying only some special scientist are allowed to use it and of it was doctrine did we find the mystery to how she got the live so long
Something that came up on NF. This arc has lots of referrences to WWII.
Caesar = Joseph Mengele. Like Mengele, Caesar experiments on children; like Mengele, he gave "candies" to those children; Mengele was obsessed with twins, and now we find out that Caesar has two (twin?) brothers working for him; Caesar's gas powers are a referrence to the gas chambers used by the Nazis; Mengele, just like Caesar, was loved by those working for him; Mengele was called "Angel of Death" while Law is called "Sergeon of Death"; Mengele's nickname when he was younger was "Beppo", lol.
Punk Hazard (because of the whole sending prisoners for experimentations) is probably a referrence to the Japanese Unit 731.
johnny and yosaku? (or is that even their right name hehe)
Johnny and Yosaku were shown in the recent cover story fishing or something like that.
I highly doubt they are in the New World. Which is disappointing because I wanted to see them with the Strawhats again.

Hmmm I don't think I like those comparrasens.
731 is horrific - and I have only read about it - I know there is a movie out there about it but no way I could sit through it. Actually I believe there are few critics who have seen it start to credits.
…. If it is - not sure how I'd feel on the one hand it's hiding the past in plain sight - on the other it's something that is too much to reference.

Whether you like it or not, it seems pretty obvious now what Oda is trying to do with Caesar's character, even if we disregard the whole Punk Hazard referrencing to 731.
There's no problem with the referrences, anyhow. It's not like children are aware of it, it's for the more adult audience that reads the manga and will understand them.

To you and everyone saying or suggesting this
http://www.mangahere.com/manga/one_piece/v58/c624/
So we can assume the guy above CC has a small moustache and a dog. And will sucide after losing against the straw hats.
That would be… I don't know, from hilarious to tremendously weird, depending on how it is done.

To add on to your theory: Mengele was said to remove hearts without anesthesia.
He was also interested in dwarfs, and would kill children if they did not grow higher than a line he drew on the wall.
It seems like, rather than Caesar himself being an analogue,
the idea of Mengele has been inspiration for him, Law and the whole facility.
