Who wants to bet that Big Mam is actually a Supaa hottie...and makes sanji go back to Doc Choppers Rehab?
I agree I hope she's black to, I mean not one female black pirate,it would make me the happiest little boy in the world but I'm thinking Oda can't draw black women.

Vice Admirals all use haki, but that doesn't mean they all use both types, or that they all use it at high levels. Honestly, from what we saw of Enel compared to other haki users with mantra, I'd be surprised if he wasn't among the highest level CoO users in One Piece world. Luffy literally only got hits in because he either A. used his attack before Enel knew it would hurt him, B.found ways to bypass CoO entirely, or C. Used an attack to fast for Enel to dodge. Those really aren't feats that many people could've accomplished. And don't start saying something like any Soru user could do that, because we've seen that Soru only applied to movement and they had to stop to attack, or attack at normal speed while using it. Its why Blueno was impressed Luffy could spread the effect to his attacks with Gear 2.
Being a Vice Admiral does tell us exactly that. It's their defining characteristic. Their expertise in Haki after obtainng high tier physical stats is why they have the rank that they do. Only exceptions may be the VA giants.
Enel could not as effortlessly dodge Hody's water shots like Luffy did. Coby's CoO is probably on a completely different level. Enel thought he was special due to his ability when in reality he is most likely average compared to most NW users. Only thing special about Enel's CoO is that his DF enchances it so he can hear super far away.
How so? I'm pretty sure every single notable person in the New World knows how to combat CoO to some degree.
You say that like all all the soru users we've seen don't have faster attack speed than Enel.

Can CCC or someone else plz give me the actual translation of this page:
Mostly just the bottom part of the page where Luffy senses Caribou. Thanks
=D -
As literal as I can make it:
Luffy: "There's a wild beast [or something like it] in this castle, isn't there?"
Sanji or Zoro (no way to tell which based on speech bubbles): "For sure… there's definitely something." -

Well, now that I read CCC's translation, I'm now understanding your point. I took it more as figuratively speaking, rather than literally. Sort of downgrades my thoughts on how tuned he is with CoO haki if that's the case… Unless maybe that's how Luffy understands it? He's been living with giant animals for two years, and that's how he described the situation?
-
You guys are also forgetting the fact that Caribou was REALLY large due to his DF. Luffy could sense the size of the object and assumed that it was an animal due to it's size.
-
LOL@Hody getting owned by arthritis when he tries to bend the bars.
Great chapter!
-
The only disappointing thing that came from this chapter is that the much anticipated Monster Trio vs The Three Admirals fight will never happen.
-
And boy am I glad that it won't happen. All that is left is hope that Aokiji won't do shit - maybe even help the SHs at some point. I always thought he was a coal guy.

How can he be a coal guy if he's made of ice?
Sorry, I couldn't resist…

Eh is made of ice and doesn't afraid of anything
xD

One other definition of "moujyuu" that comes up is "beast of prey." Maybe Luffy was using the word more figuratively? Like he sensed that a hunter of sorts with kidnapping intentions was lurking around, because that gave off the same vibes as a large meat-eating animal?
-
After seeing that Big Mam's messengers have the titles Sir and Baron in them, it somewhat made me wonder if Big Mam has a theme of feudalism within her crew. Instead of her top crew members having the title commander, maybe the tiers of her crew will be called Dukes, Counts, or Earls. I was thinking Oda could have her associated with Medieval times. I suppose I had the British Monarchy specifically in mind, but it's just a thought.

I think you're on to something. It seems to be the trend with the first 2, I expect more of that. Can not wait to see their designs in a few weeks.

Its funny because 'cool' would have made an excelent pun.

Then "predator" would've been a nice translation?
Edit: That translation would have made the kidnaping scene even more…. u know.... sugestive.

I have this (very crappy) theory that Big Mam has some connection to Elbaf, if the not outright ruler, and if the two coming are Giants, might be right.

I would welcome that if only to see a giant that will not fail the moment they are placed into action. Man that would be awesome a huge crew of giants!
Come to think of it Elbaf must be claimed by one of the Emperors what if Big Mam did come from there? With Dorry and Broggy battling (for what like 102 years?) on little garden for so long someone else would have come into power as the leader of their nation. Man now I'm just hyping myself up for no good reason. What ever connection Big Mam gets to the established portion of the series I'm sure it will be cool.

That candy Luffy was eating looked delicious.Looked like taffy,or sponge cake

If that was the case, shouldn't Big Man have a noble title on her name too, like "Big Queen" or "Queen Mam"?
-

Yes, actually. That works perfectly.
-
Caribou is a predator in more ways than one lol

True, I did wonder about this as well. My only answer is that maybe she does have a title like that, but Oda simply doesn't want to tell us about it yet, probably because he doesn't want us wondering about it. Maybe, she doesn't particularly like the formal title, so she prefers to be called Big Mam, possibly to help foster feelings of a large family like how Whitebeard referred his crew as if they were his sons. Or, Oda simply made her the exception, and calling her Captain or Big Mam is sufficient enough for her instead of some kind of royal title.

Mam->Ma'am->Madam. Her crew could call her Madam Charlotte. Hell maybe Oda menat for her name to be Big Ma'am but screwed up like with Robin's giant legs being called hands.
-
I get the feeling that the crack about no one needing Chopper's devil fruit is foreshadowing.
And that it'll have something to do with Chopper's "The Fifth" chapter (since he's already accepted being a monster, there's not much else for him to still be angsting about).
I dunno, maybe I'm reading too much into things.

The simplest problem is that if that were the case, Chopper would have to die. Ain't happening.

Did anyone notice that?
Time ago Oda said that a Rogia would have joined the crew +
Time ago Oda said that an enemy would have joined the crew +
Aokiji left the marine =
–------------------------------------------------------------
Aokiji possible new nakama (?!) -
U know what? IDK if this has already been discussed cause, u know, 40 pages, but I think i found a big plothole:
Hody stole the pills 10yrs ago and left the Neptune army.
This was 10 yrs ago, the same time when Arlong left to East Blue.
So why did Hody say after his introduction that they weren't old/strong enuff to be in Arlong's crew?
This makes absolutely no sense to me. If it comes to Hody, he immediately left the Neptune army when he stole those pills, so his training in the army has ended after his robbery.
Did it take them 8-10 full years to use those pills properly? IDK… -

Aokiji possible new nakama (?!)Since there are so many fans how already whine bout Jinbe's power lvl ruin the Monster Trio, I wonder how AoKiji would fit under the monster trio powerwise. Where is the logic gone?
He could be a powerful ally in a future arc, just like Croc was in ID, but I doubt he can ever be a full-worth-SH with his ideals of justice.
Another thing: I wonder who inherits Ace' fire DF. It'd be a blast if Coby had it. It'd give Coby the improvement he'll need in the end against Luffy.
On the other hand its more likely that a person yet unknown inherits Ace' fruit or BB already collected it. -

Isn't Yonkou = Emperor?
According to the hierarchy, Emperor is the highest rank. -
Isn't Yonkou = Emperor?
According to the hierarchy, Emperor is the highest rank.Yonkou itself means "4 Emperors".
Maybe the "Sir" and "Baron"-thing is a hint bout how they might look like (medieval or another epoch of history).
Her subordinates will most likely call her "mom" just like WB was called "pops".
BTW "Sir Crocodile" has given his title to himself BY himself, so much to the title-meaning in OP.@ryuksgelus + co
Hm, didn't consider that it took Arlong a lil amount of time to get to Namis island.
But nevertheless if the NFP were so fascinated by Arlong they could have sailed after him, but I guess Arlong was good in washing away his tracks. Maybe he also paid other marines so they don't document his steps.
