It doesn't look like it could be very protective, then again if one wishes for speed the less armor he more freedom of movement and less weight weighing her down.
We all saw the doubt in Rebeccas attack. She fliched, she hestitated and certainly did not had murderous intent. That is too obvious. She feels powerless and helpless doing it all herself. Wiyh Luffy as an ally, she will go and show her real strength.

Bart is now a far more interesting and fun character than he was just a chapter ago. He was a boring piss off character, and now he has some depth, a backstory, and a legitimate comedy bit and quirk that makes him interesting.

These chapters lately have been great. I really enjoyed this one! Bart's man crush is funny and he makes for a great ally. DC's forces will be great to aid vs the inevitable battle that is coming. I think that this trap of DDF is really turning into something great for the SH crew. Can't wait for the next chapter, really hope to see more of what's brewing with Zoroland and Fraland. :)

He's already had so. much. misfortune just about 100 chapters ago, related to the owner of this fruit. That would just be such a kick in the groin. But Oda has been known to bust our crotches before so… I mean it's not wrong, no. It's just not something I'd like to see.

Might have something to do with the fact that they've been fighting with SWORDS. You tend to lose a limb or two when swinging 3-foot blades around
