@kaang:
I meant to say luffy sanji zoro and usopp. What I was trying to say is that the rest of the crew hopefully haven't reached a new platform. What was holding Luffy back from really being taken serious was not having haki. The Other two we're fine as the second and third strongest it was just that Luffy wasn't strong enough to keep up with his crazy stunts.
And speed, power, experience, and stamina compared to high tiers. I don't know what that last part means.
I doubt Nami and robin will be taking out people as strong as rob lucchi. Usopp won't be taking down ryumma(or maybe he could:wub:). So it's not like the crew doubled in strenght just learned new things(except maybe the monster trio and Usopp). I think a guy who can knock houses away with one shot can compete with franky and even hurt him believe it or not.
You're selling the other SH remarkably short. All the SH will be incredibly powerful by the end of the series in their own right. Its not like other shounen where the main character and a few other top dogs carry the other characters to the end.
They didn't just learn a few things. They all spent two years making sure Luffy wouldn't have to be so strong they would always need him to bail them out like how if he lost to Lucci they would have all been killed. Two years completely focused on improving themselves.
Severely underestimating Franky. The guy who made a cyborg body out of scrap metal and built submarine as a preteen got to spend two years studying the weapon plans of the smartest man in the world. His power-ups should be just as drastic as the M.trio; a complete monster compared to his previous self in every way. Him versus Dosun will be just as one-sided as Luffy&Zoro vs. Decken and Hodi.
Really think about it. Nami learned some new moves I doubt she's faster more durable or physically stronger same with Robin. We all know what franky was working on.. more weapons since im sure all his physical strenght is from his human body and not some engine he may be stronger but I doubt he'll be flicking away that hammer. So I wasn't saying that they weren't stronger only that physically their not that much stronger. Cause we all know that in One Piece speed and power>>> weapons and new moves. Speed blitzing and smackdowns IMO are the foundation and most respectable/scared parts of this manga.
I'm thinking Oda showed she doesn't need to be fast or durable in the Kalifa fight. Now because her control of weather is so great she won't even need luck like in her old bouts. Speed doesn't mean shit if all you're attacking are mirages while she creates tornadoes, hurricanes, and blizzards to bombard you with. She managed to cause more damage by doing absolutely nothing in a bar than with her staff pre-time skip. She is a black mage/elementalist now and any rpg should tell you they aren't to be messed with just because they may be frail.
Robin has her own version of G3 and can now spawn clones fast enough to come between Luffy and Jinbe. In TB she could glide with wings and if Oda takes the idea further she could fly for a little bit. Who else knows what oda has planned for her. All I know is that whatever tools she has now will be more than enough for these fishman and like all the SH it will be a little while before she she can't deal with something.
Franky gets his strength from Cola. No cola he was still strong enough to go toe to toe with 800 douriki Fukurou. With Cola he was easily 3-4x as strong as he almost crushed Blueno's skull and blasted Fukurou through a wall. His new big body isn't just for show and neither are those Hellboy fists attached to Optimus Prime arms. Franky is a brawler, like Luffy, he isn't going to neglect his physical strength and rely solely on flashy projectiles.
Simply retarded. Most of the SH fights haven't been against opponents on par with themselves but enemies with tricks and weird strategies that they had to overcome. Nami, Ussop, and Robin actually did more damage to the Pacifista than Franky and Brook because their styles helped more. Fights in skypiea weren't about speed blitzing&power and Ussop showed us how to fight without great strength and speed. Don't bring up him loosing that fight. That is because the difference was too large from the get go. These fishmen are the underdogs here.
