Well a one week break is not really a big deal for us and they have probly the best reason ever for not printing it this time.
Also it will give Oda more time to work on future chapters so we get less breaks in the future.
So iam a bit late to the discussion but i thought the chapter was just another build up on Hodi which now provides us a rly cool underwaterfight with Zoro, which i think is just awesome and iam desperately looking forward to it.
Ohh yeah and i love how Usopp handled those fishman..still in his old way to fight tricky but much more impressive and no more scared to act quickly and confident about his abilitys.

Brook seems to be the one who always gets easy useless or way to early unable to fight.
I mean in this scene there is no other way, but Brook being the most recent nakama always has the vibe for me to not being used enough and always gets kind of unnecessary.
Unlike for example Usopp,who actually should get useless against stronger fighters but always somehow makes himself useful or important.(like when he talked to Luffy while Luffy was nearly defeated by Lucci or in other arcs where he always find a way to stay somehow important)

I believe the world record for holding your breath underwater is close to 20 minutes.
I know we shouldn't bring focus too much on real life here, but if someone in our world can do it for 20 minutes Zoro should have no problem holding his breath for at least as long. It all depends on Oda though.

Yeah and if you didn't understand that then stop reading One Piece. I like how Oda hasn't just slammed the straw hats all together at once and has split everyone up, similar to what happened at Logue Town many moons ago. Everyone was split up and then met at the finale as it were.

Japan got more important stuff to concern about at the moment than WSJ
- Sandersonia's fire doesn't damage her just as magma doesn't burn Akainu.
- Luffy was hinted like what? 2 times that he had some kind of hidden power, Zoro and Sanji? NONE. And the "breath of things" may be similar to CoO, but until now, nothing points them being related at all.
- The reason Sanji doesn't burn his feet when using DJ, is the same reason why a logia's clothes will never be damaged: PLOT DEVICE.
1 - You couldn't be more wrong. Red Dog is magma, he wont hurt himself obviously, thats just how fruits work. Sandersonia is a snake, and Oda made it very clear it was not her fruit preventing the burning as seen when Marigold accidentally touches her. That is a huge hint right there. Oda saying that Sanji's passion burns hotter than his heated foot may seem like a joke answer, but passion, spirit, ambition, haki, it all seems to fit to me.
2 - Sanji only has the devil leg going for him at the moment, but at one point Kaku wonders if Zoro predicted his movements. Seems like a big hint to me.
3 -Logia plot device, yes, Sanji maybe, but again I point to my above statement.
In WSJ's website it says next issue is coming at 3/19.
Only skipping one week? Man, I though what with this crisis and all, it'd be about a month bare minimum before any WSJ got printed.

That's not what it says Alina.
It did go on sale. Many people are reporting to already bought one actually.
What that says is the magazines slated to be released for 3/14 did not reach many regions of Japan.
Many areas in Kantou have gotten them, but outer reaches such as Hokkaido has not, and is delayed until further notice.

Because of the (at the time of the episode aired) recent Akihabara
massacre which a man fatally stabbed at least 12 people with a dagger. Instead of stabbing Sanji in the back, it was shown in the anime that Absalom landed a hit on Sanji so strong that it threw the chef off balance and drop Nami. Also instead of stepping in a pool of blood, it was merely shown that Absalom's location was given away when he stepped too near the chef. In the Japanese DVD however, this was left uncut.

The point is that while it would be appropriate to censor such things shortly after the disaster, out of good taste, after a period of time they can be addressed like normal.

Don't forget that fish and even dolphins need to have water on their bodies all the time to be okay. It's quite possible that the "normal" clothes constantly being wet from going underwater actually help the fishmen stay comfortable while on dry land ^_^

Akainu is using a MAGMA Logia. Sandersonia has no fire resistance or a fire DF. She matched herself up. Do you understand the difference. her sister wasn't able to resist it. it was clearly hinted that you can cover your body in CoA yb Rayleigh to protect yourself.

Because even in a game there are moments where you know exactly what your opponent is going to, and note because you have some kind of CoO. Same here, he predicted which is to "consider what is the next move most probable to happen".

may well be true, i reckon will be a good fight though - fitting to show off luffys new strength in a proper battle
my personal prediction with the Hodi/Zoro fight is that either the prince(s) turn up halfway though or at the end to stop Zoro from drowning. Based on the need to have Zoro not die, even with the odds so stacked against him. In an underwater fight, a merman is needed to fight (and inevitably lose to) Hodi. Zoro would probably not be able to survive this without help.
This is running on the assumption that Hodi, by letting in the water, is also allowing the princes to enter.
Luffy can technically fight underwater with the bubble thing they used for the Kraken fight. He would still be handicapped with that, of course, but it's possible. A Luffy/Hodi battle taking place all over FI, going in and out of the water, would be pretty cool IMO.

I understand (and support) taking a small break out of respect but the last thing the country needs right now is to stunt it's own economy (i know that WSJ sales aren't that important in themselves, but if every company is taking a break out of respect..well i'm sure you can see why it's not a good idea) The country needs to move on.
I write this assuming that Oda had no relatives/friends dead and that the affected areas weren't ones critical to WSJ manufacture
People, don't worry about the manga/anime industry. The quake has gone and passed, and the economy will recover. If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if Japan actually bounces back stronger than ever.
Why would you have a two week break since Tokyo was mostly unaffected by the quake ? Of course there is the national mourning, but do you think people will expect not to get any food from stores or not to be able to buy the latest phone etc.. ? No.
Everybody has a role to play, there are the benevolents and the professionals who will go there, the others will continue to work dude, stopping everything will just make things worse.

WHat if Zoro defeats/kills hodi now and the rest of the crew attack when someone comes in to save Zoro who's about to run out of air then the crew go to big mom and claim the islands protection is under attack so big mum sends reinforcements probably stronger fishmen which are then allowed to use the pills leading to a proper 1 on 1 fight for the strawhats and a proper arc
aka a situation simular to what drake did when he entered the grand line to get kaidou's attention
