reasons for 2 duplicates = once i move home, i want one for display one for misb, stacking them like a great wall, it's just different kind of displaying. Sometimes displaying boxes are more stunning than put them in the glass rack.
reasons for 3 duplicates = purely dumb, i forgot i ordered 2 already, and got 3rd from somewhere else, and forgot to cancel until they billed me, i cannot cancel the 3rd….got it??? i kind of regret why the hell i ordered 3 SW shanks FZ....i don't even need him.
reasons for 4+ duplicates = either really like this figure or I want to build an army.
i will do 5+ for pop kuma

reasons for order some old figure again after i already have them...various reason=====> dog abusing, baby abusing, poor paint job.....long story

To keithgator...after i purchased 2 nami red and 2 nami blue, the price drop insanely a lot, i believe nami pink will be the same, that's why i didn't order her. I predict she will be 6000yen at mandarake around october.
The more i look at nami bikini...the more i hate her now, so ugly.

i think i am not the only one who collect 3 duplicates if we really like it......i forgot who he is, he mentioned last time in irc.

few friends on irc knew i am buying another set of POP SW again, because my bloody friend's new puppy peed on them when he brought him to my house...sweeeeeeet

Hmm, I'm the same. I love collecting doubles maybe even triples in some instances. I just like having the figure displayed and then also having another one or two of the same figure MISB, in case I want to display them as such with the figure MISB behind the displayed figure as well as keeping resale value in mind… I mean hell I have 6 WCF Nightmare Luffy, lol.

the only issue i can see from you is u live in singapore, you will need to turn on the air con 24/7 otherwise your figures will melt/bent/muddy.......well, my tenants told me in singapore/malaysia you guys never turn off air con anyway.

Yea got that right, I'm still a student. The money I get for spending is from my allowance, so I've been saving up as much as I can to fund this hobby. Right now I'm exploring more options like GLM for less major characters like Shanks crew, and I've resorted to getting the international version of POPs instead of the usual Japan edition. Save a bit here and there, it helps I guess. Of course, can't really compare to people who have a steady income, so sometimes I have to sell away figures that I consider less important to my collection. Which kinda stinks, cos if I had enough money I'd be collecting every POP I liked and not selling them, ever, but well, I'm just getting by by not splurging excessively and stuff like that. Which is probably why everytime I see people with lots and lots of figures or more than one of the same figure I get rather jealous!

And yea, it's pretty humid in Singapore/Malaysia so the air-con is on about 80% of the time. But I keep my figures as far away from the windows so they're not that affected by the heat. The glass panel from the detolf helps as well :) It's a matter of getting used to the environment.

Oh my, Frozen, that is a lot of figures!
Sometimes I get mad when people buy more than one figure of the same because if I miss a pre-order, I could have gotten a chance to get the figure but someone bought 3 duplicates hahah

Damn, all these figures are so awesome! If only I had the money to buy them! >_> If I could at least get 5 of these epic figures, I'd definitely go for Enel, Perona, Law, Sanji (SW), and Robin (SW). Currently, the only POP figure I have is Chopper NEO (he was a gift). ^^

Hi Everyone!

Grats to all the people that got their preorders for POP's in. I have been slacking as of late, and could not get any preorders in, which sucks hardcore.

I know there is alot of POP collectors here, so I want to ask this question: ANyone find it werid how the first wave of POP have different skin tones?

I have been collecting POP since the very first wave with Luffy, Zoro and Nami. (Those POP with the annoying, yet useful, leg hold stands) I brought them from HLJ and etc back then, so I know it is authentic. However, I am not sure if it is time or whatever, but the skin tone is changing colors and I dont know what to do with it!!

Please help!

I will be posting pictures soon, my toy room is under renovation, so boxes are everywhere.

The nature of PVC figures from age = slight changes in color and slow shape deformation…more or less normal and pending on ambient conditions, process could be accelerated. Take some pictures and people can be the judge....all my 1st series POPs seem to be holding up still but my local weather is fairly constant and I keep everything in a glass case free from exposure to sun.

@Orph: the very first POPs were made with a not so good quality of plastic. It's partly because of that they were cheaper at the time and you can see some issues now. I think that the recently released POPs are made of better matter so they should stay pristine a bit longer. But yeah, it also depends on the conditions you keep them and the kind of weather you usually get at your location.

By the way, I'll move to Singapore next month. Somebody can give away some good addresses for fig shops there?

Orph: i had all the first wave POPs as well. The bodies were hollow on zoro, sanji, and luffy and over time there was a noticeable difference in their arms, head (solid) and their torso color. I've seen it on ones other than mine, so it's just the nature of the figures.

They are NOT bootlegs, these are PRE Neo POP that Orph is talking about. That is why their design looks like that, Pre Neo pretty much sucked (except Bellemere). I have the Usopp and Choppa Pre Neo and they have not experienced any type of descoloration, however I will keep in mind ehahah and check weekly (Maybe because I didn't take them outside their box till this year after having them for 2 years MISB).

no don, you missed yours is not because of me, i am not that powerful
rather than let strangers have them, why not let our forum members have them
sometimes i do realise i accidentally bought duplicates, but if people need it desperately
i do pass the orders to them

the key thing is you need to be on IRC, and ask frequently.
