No. I would not buy the Funi OP boxsets that I already own on DVD, on Blu-ray.
And I'm at the point where I don't really care about technical differences anymore. I can distinguish DVD quality from VHS, but from the Blu-ray movies I've seen, my eyes are at the point where it doesn't matter how much better you make the picture- I can't tell. Never cared much about extras, and it's not like fitting more content on every disk will save us money. In these current early stages of Blu-ray, it's even the opposite. /getoffmylawnyoudarnkids
And if you're going to bring up the "support Funi" argument, it's much more important to buy the DVDs now than the Blu-ray later. Their decision to keep dubbing and putting the show out depends on sales now, not on potential unknown future sales. But unless I missed the news bulletin, I think they're doing fine anyway, so we shouldn't even be worrying about that.
Come back to me in 5 years when Blu-ray is standard and I'm a filthy rich i-banker profitting off the resurgence of the American economy (yeah right) and maybe my answer will be different.
