@sanji499:
Well, the series is somehow about emerging victorous against superior opponents against all odds (Crocodile, Cp9, rescuing Ace, escaping from an inescapable prison, outclassing Yonku etc. Kinemon is not that strong cause a Schibukai owwned him rather easily. Maybe the reason WG is that the country of Wano has a good reputation (hardworking people, and integrity) and trying to take over Wano or imposing their will could be a bad move for the WG.
This bit doesnt even has a thesis.. I assume you are still supporting your idea that Tashigi will join, will go to Wano and prove her worth, etc
are you implying that because Kinemon was defeated by Law, he (and the other samurai from a country the marines dare not enter) could also be defeated by Tashigi? That's quite a leap. Also, I don't see how bringing up Law beating Kinemon helps support your theory that Tashigi can go to Wano and defeat the Samurai. (Why would she even go to Wano and do that??)
@sanji499:
Its undenibale that Tashigi did not appear often but we can't ignore that she helped them save Alabasta and did not capture the straw hats when she had a golden opportunity and promised to become stronger. Moreover, she was one of the few marines that were questioning the absolute justice of Akainu during marineford alongside with Smoker and Coby. With all these arguments, there is no doubt that she will play an important role in the WG's new organization and the fate of the main characters (I can actually see Tashigi faking their deaths so that they can live a peaceful life once the series in nearing its end).
What new organisation? and surely if she was doing this, she would be more helpful as a member of the marines than as a pirate of the SH
@sanji499:
However, I agree that she is somehow the equivalent of the second crew member for Smoker and they make a great team. However, Smoker's words gave me the impression that something bad is gonna happen to him (not necessarily death) and Tashigi is not gonna see him for a while. I dare to say that he pretty much copied Obiwan's parting words to Luke
not sure we saw the same movie there.. he didn't have parting words for him that relate to what Smoker said..
what smoker did say would surely inspire Tashigi to keep growing stronger and take his place of command in the marines to continue his work
@sanji499:
and maybe Smoker could be saved by Jinbe who is nearby and is looking for him because he is one of the few honorable marines. Moreover, Tashigi is just failing by not being able to protect her men and it seems likely that Smoker presumed dead could be the last nail on the coffin for a mental breadown. Of course, I don't know if she will join but i am really feeling so bad for her and it would be satisfying to see her having a happy go lucky adventure, becoming stronger, giving us funny,emotional and ambiguous moments (justice, wg and friendship). As far as I can see, she has a lot more to offer than let's say Monet cause all I can say about her is pretty much what Dante says in DMC 4 "hahaha ! Check it out its got wings !". You know what we will see.
you are, of course, entitled to your opinion that she would be a better addition to the SH than Monet but I cannot imagine someone with as strong a moral sense as Tashigi (who upon introduction in the Loguetown arc declared to Zoro that she wished to be strong enough to reclaim all great swords from evil hands) joining a group of pirates and in essence do a complete moral U-turn
@sanji499:
@urouge Its not because she is weak now that she will always weak. In fact, she has moved up in rank, learned Haki (while most of the straw hats have no clue about it) and is becoming more mature (giving up her pride to save her men and the children, helping the straw hats). If you think she is gonna be a noob forever, you could look as silly as the Raiden haters if she turns out awesome.
Don't think there's enough evidence to support your claim that most of the strawhats don't know about it.. (clearly from
! zoro, sanji and robin are all aware of it, we don't see the others questioning what that was, shock in Brook's face can equally be attributed to surprise that Luffy can take out 50000 warriors with haki as much as a genuine lack of knowledge of haki)
Clearly, Urouge was not implying she has reached the end of her character development as even the blind can see that she's improved (rank, strength)
if she turns out awesome
sounds suspiciously like fanboyism (well known for their abilities to make unbiased and logical arguments) :ninja:
@sanji499:
I mean Vivi did not bring much in terms of skills but she was still a traveling companion. Anyway, we will see what happens.
oh god my rage. Vivi was clearly in the crew for the duration of the Alasbasta arc because she was essential to the storyline. Not only that but she's not the same type of crewmate that you're suggesting Tashigi will become.
I seems to me that you've completely forgotten your original arguments and have just began to spout contradicting (and in some cases, plain incorrect) statements that do not even show how its plausible for Tashigi to join.
