If Law did give Monet her wings, it's weird how Vergo didn't act surprised when he saw her. No mention of it whatsoever.

RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
Alright, true. Hancock did have some evidence and I clearly forgot about her. Every other character was fandreaming. Though I think when her and Jinbe were in competition, she was largely disaggregated at the time due to her power level (same for Jinbe). She did, however, have a tragic backstory and a few other things, which def put in her in the potential strawhat boat. I'd argue Kinemon is about as likely as her at the moment. Which is to say: Definitely plausible.
Anyone arguing for Monet is just dreaming though. She'd need a pretty epic twist. Thinking she has any more chance than Margaret or Caimi or something is ridiculous.
Here is a list of potential strawhats:
Anyone ever. Here is a realistic list of strawhats:
Kinemon and/or his son.
Jinbe (who is confirmed unless something happens, but he's still not official).
Vivi out of nowhere.Arguing for anyone off that list of three dudes just feels like a waste of time. Those three may or may not join the active crew depending on future developments.
After the latest chapter it doesn't look very likely, but possibly helping Chopper with the note, if it was indeed her, might possibly lead to that twist. There's got to be a reason why Oda is making us think it might have been her.

RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
It is not only the incident with Law, when CC mentioned that Luffy & co being part of the experiment she had that heinous smile, in the recent chapter when she teills Mocha to share the candy and so on. Obviously her character is not as sadistic as CC but you can still see it.
She has also mentioned Caesar has "atrocious taste" in ch. 671. Law said practically the same thing when Caesar got done explaining to him about the candy in ch. 666. She might just be referring to the fight Caesar was in, or maybe she meant she also thinks its messed up giving the kids candy. You're right though, offering Mocha and the others the candy doesn't make it look that way now though.

RE: Chapter 683: A Girl Like Ice
Because Monet was tricking them? The kids were taken under the guise of "treating" them for sickness, and Monet was likely the one who took them in the first place (being able to fly makes traveling to and from an island with no magnetic field easy, and she has a snow-spirt theme to her). I'm sure she can lie better than CC can.
Yeah but they know they're not being treated now. They know it's "evil candy" that they've been giving them. Mocha should know that Monet isn't going to help if she's helping Caesar.

RE: Chapter 683: A Girl Like Ice
I don't get why Mocha yelled to Monet asking for her help when she's been helping Caesar this whole time. Why would she be asking an enemy for help?

RE: Last Two Nakamates (vol. 5)
This.
WB has crew members like Marco and Jozu, and Shanks has the likes of Beckman, who can handle even admirals. Some if not many of WB division captains should be at least Shichibukai level, even Ace was invited to be one. Well, that's what we can expect from a yonkou crew.
So we can surely expect the SH members will be shown to be at least Shichibukai level, even if it's not now, I'm sure they will be. It's not that all members must be that strong, but I expect the mid-level ones like Franky and Brook to be able to handle Shichibukai, and the strong ones like the trio to be able to handle admirals, something that even Jinbe couldn't do well. After all, before the TS they have all realized that each and every one of them must be very very strong to make Luffy the PK. And when we've been shown that, surely Jinbe can join the crew without any objection.
Yeah, all very good points. I didn't consider how several Whitebeard division captains took on admirals and Shichibukai. I guess he'll have to have some of his crew at that strength at least. Still not 100% convinced as most of you seem to be, but after reading everyone's posts, I do see it more likely than I use to.

RE: Last Two Nakamates (vol. 5)
I actually think that your number four point could be used to address number one and two on your list. From a meta-perspective, yeah, Jinbe would totally unbalance things for the Strawhats currently. He's arguably too strong and has a huge bounty and that would cause a lot of power dynamic issues… but... give them another major arc or two - like Alabasta - and I wouldn't be surprised if that situation naturally corrects itself.
I know there are a lot of people who are pretty iffy on him joining, but Jinbe's presence has been a major part of the last, wow, 150 chapters or so and he just showed back up in a cover story. I'm very curious as to what Oda has planned because this is one of the longest games he's played in terms of whether a character will join or not. What I do know is that you don't keep a character like Jinbe in the spotlight for as long as he has been without something major happening. At this point, there's barely any reason left for Jinbe to not join, which begs the question of what could or would stop it from happening. As far as I can tell, his not joining right this instant will probably be dealt with whenever we get around to a Big Mam arc. I'm very excited, personally.
If they do try to correct the difference in strength between Luffy and Jinbe with a major arc, I'm just not finding it realistic. They would have to nerf Jinbe's strength out of no where. Like I said in my second point, they would have to make him less capable. I personally don't want Jinbe replacing Zoro as the number 2 in strength either nor with Sanji at 3rd strongest. I think he would top both of them also since he's comparable to Luffy. So that would place him at 4th strongest. A former Shichibukai being the 4th strongest among the crew, at worst, is not believeable, in my opinion.

RE: Last Two Nakamates (vol. 5)
Jinbe is pretty much a certainty. I don't know why people would think otherwise
I don't actually think Jinbe will join the Straw Hats. Couples reason why:
1. Jinbe's strength. While I think Luffy has much more potential than Jinbei regarding strength, it's never shown that Jinbe is a notch below Luffy. Also take into account that Ace and Jinbe came to a draw when they fought. They always meniton Ace being stronger than Luffy throughout the story, which they also emphasized in the flashback, so if Jinbe and Ace both drawed, what does that say about Luffy? Only that Jinbei, if he were to join, may possibly be stronger than the captain.
2. His bounty is too high. Luffy and Jinbe both have bounties around 400 million. There needs to be some spacing here like what Luffy and Zoro have at the very least. Their bounties may distance themselves in the future, but considering Jinbe's capabilities, I don't see a wide gap coming unless they suddenly make Jinbe less capable.
3. Too much of a mentor role. I don't like the idea of Jinbe giving Luffy advice on things after the time skip. To me, it seems like it would take away what experience Luffy has learned after the war. And we already have Zoro to keep Luffy in check.
4. I don't know about this one, but his decision not to join right away is suspicious. Not sure what Oda has planned here, but I think Jinbe may end up staying a Straw Hat ally rather than a full-fledge member.
This is what I'm thinking anyways.

RE: Last Two Nakamates (vol. 5)
@KaW~KaW:
what exactly are these clues?
also everyone for Nakamate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In episode 504 when Dragon returns to his ship, Ivankov says, "You, what's that?" while pointing down at Dragon. Considering they didn't show the front of Dragon, I'm assuming he was carrying Sabo. Everyone else on the ship also started calling out for a doctor. So there must have been an injured Sabo that Dragon brought along with him.

RE: Last Two Nakamates (vol. 5)
He would not actually throw the paper^^. We have seen how he can switch things easily with his DF and later we found out that his chains were not made out of Kairoseki so he could have easily used his DF.
Didn't think about that. Still, wouldn't you think Vergo and Caesar would notice something flying out of the cage. It's not believeable that nobody saw the paper coming from Law, including those in the cage. Nobody mentioned it to him afterwards either, if it was him.
