From what I have been told by Luci, all that was done for G8 was done back during their recording run for Skypeia. So if they did 206 then it was back then.
I am liking the Season 4 that Thatdutchfellow posted up. Sounds like a kick butt season towards the end and would be perfect set up for an Ennis Lobby Season 5.

S4V3: 233 - 245 (Starts with Franky Family attacking Usopp and ends the set showing the true identys of the CP9)
S4V4: 246 - 258 (starts with CP9 burning down Iceburg's place and ends the set on the Sogeking introduction/beginning of Sanji Vs. Wanze)
S4V5: 259 - 271 (starts with Sanji Vs. Wanze/Franky Vs. Nero and the set ends on the beginning of Luffy Vs. Blueno/Kaku and Kalifa eating their devil fruits)
S4V6: 272 - 284 (starts with Gear 2nd debut episode and ends with Rocketman crashing into the Tower of Justice it will also inculdes the clips shows episodes.)

My entire tax return is going to all 9 volumes of that season 4. Right stuff 37.49 X 9 is 337 Berries. If the releases are 2 months apart I'll be on NEXT years tax return before they finish up the season. :)

Didn't realize Thriller Bark would take four whole boxsets. They really took their time with the anime version of that, didn't they?

EDIT: Just realized Thriller Bark was only four manga volumes. That means 13 episodes per volume. What the heck? How did they expand the arc so much? I haven't seen the anime version, can anyone answer?
Thriller Bark is 5 books in the manga (Volumes 46 - 50).

Eric Vale is going to be at my local con, AFW, in July, so if there's no new info on season 4 by then I'll see if I can get some kind of cleverly phrased comment from him that gives hope or something.
On a somewhat unrelated note, Eric Vale's bio on the AFW site is pretty much amazing.

Actually, he’s just an actor who has spent a lot of time under lock and key in sound booths voicing anime characters such as Trunks in Dragon Ball Z, Sanji in One Piece, Yuki in Fruits Basket, and Kymblee in Fullmetal Alchemist among many others. Eric has also spent time as an ADR director in addition to scripting over fifty anime programs as Head Writer with FUNimation Productions. Outside of the world of anime, Eric has written, produced, and directed three short films, all of which are currently making the rounds on the international circuit. His short story The Beautiful Middle of Nowhere was recently published in Slice Magazine, and he is currently expanding it into a novel.
As you can see, one should not trifle with Eric Vale.
On the weekends, he builds bridges to the future, crafts a superconducting collider in his backyard, and moves mountains with his freaking bare hands.
That bio is pretty amazing.
Anyone know where I can preorder fifth voyage for $30? I've found the sets for $30 many times before their release, just not now.
EDIT: Sano, thanks for correcting me, but still. That's ten and a half episodes per volume. Any idea how this arc took them so long? I mean, I suppose it is a good thing if it stops fillers, but still…
Thriller Bark was a good arc, but I'm not sure it is worth four boxsets...160$. Regardless, I'll buy them...

All these characters are confirmed and there won't be re-casts. None of the characters that appeared in UA were replaced when FUNi went back and re-did Seasons 1 & 2 of One Piece. And UA did come out before Season 1: First Voyage (there are some people who think the opposite).
So its very good chance we'll be seeing the aforementioned VA's once again.

In the Season 2: Fourth Voyage commentary Mike McFarland said that he tried recording Bon again for the movie but it just didn't feel right so Barry Yandell was his re-cast.

I'd be rather upset if they couldn't get Franky's voice back. That was perfect. SO was Kaku's.
Not so much Lucci. Pauly, Aokiji, and Spandam were okay, but I wasn't crazy about them.

It wouldn't really be "unexpected" if those voice actors didn't reprise their roles in the dub. The only person in the game who may be guaranteed a role would be Patrick Seitz, and even he's not set in stone.

Actually, on onepieceofiicial, Hulu, etc., they have all the episodes starting from Sabaody to present under Season 10. So I don't know if they would stuff that many episodes into one season.
You have to remember Funimation is doing the seasons sets by Story arcs (For example Season 2 was the entire Barqoue Works arc, which was 90 episodes long.). And it make sense have the entire DBF/Water 7/Enies Lobby arcs together as one season. I think Hulu season thing is temporay for the later episodes until its time for them to be release on dvd.

Precisely. Which is why we really shouldn't pay that much attention to the season that the current simulcast episodes take place if we want to consider the way FUNi will release the series.

Amazon has season three eps for around fourty. That site has them for thirty.
They are around $40, but when I pre-ordered Voyage 5 way back in January from amazon it was $32.00. And I believe that was the case w/ the other Season 3 sets. I guess the closer to the release date the higher the price goes up.

A lot of us preorder from RightStuf.Com. If they're having a sale we can get them for $29.99 (or less if you have their GotAnime? membership) and they USUALLY ship them out a week or two before the street date. I know a few people don't because they live in Iowa and they have to pay sales tax for it because that's where RightStuf is based out of but other than that it seems like a large number of us, if not a majority, get it from there.
That being said, if someone who hasn't gotten the earlier seasons that sounds like an excellent source for the DVDs if they're that cheap.

You act as if that was anything other than just Funimation performing an act to show the Japanese "Hey. Remember how you're getting on our cases about how we don't do anything about illegal subs. Well, guess what? Legal action doesn't work."
Seriously though, I doubt funimation went in thinking they could actually get anything out of it. Probably part of the reason why they used the number 1337.

I really, really, REALLY, don't want there to be a live action One Piece film.
I want FUNI to focus on dubbing the episodes quicker. I feel that 13 episodes every month or two is doable. I think that if the DVDs were able to begin catching up to the series, more people would be inclined to buy them.
