Hush would be perfect, I hope he goes that route. Riddler is too… expected.
The Dark Knight Rises

-
Female lead in her 20s/30s? Catwoman, anyone?
she's way too over used
the main villain is going to be the music meister obviously
at least that's what i am going to tell myself when i'm sitting in the theater with my headphones on
-
Oh you confirmed with Nolan after dinner?
No we haven't Akumu insert dipshit smiley
All we've known is that Nolan hates 3D and wanted to do it 2D. We didn't know whether the studio would okay that or not.
Christ, half-assed movie news people.
Nah, the moment they said they didn't want it we all knew it wasn't gonna be there.
There was no way Warner Bros was gonna go against them. -
Hush would work great if Catwoman was in the mix, much like the Hush (2003) comics did, since she would be the love of Batman and that would only add to Batman's paranoia as to who all is involved.
Buuuut of course, that would require a love story, which to me just doesn't strike well with Batman..
Yet, it worked with the previous Nolan Batman movies, so it could happen.
-
"The Dark Knight Rises"? Kinda lame, in my opinion.
I guess no Michael C. Hall for Riddler -
I don't want to see Hush, I wanna see Killer Croc. Croc would be the perfect villian to spring Batman back into the publics liking.
-

I never!
-
I'm fucking shocked that Nolan said "I don't want it to be in 3D" and the movie studio actually went "lol ok no problem."
I'm so used to them making the worst possible decisions… wow.
-

Not to the man who made The Dark Knight.
Ever since TDK, WB has been set on doing whatever it takes to make Nolan a happy man. -
Not to the man who made The Dark Knight.
You'd be surprised what studios tell proven veteran directors.
Like rejecting Ridley Scott's R Alien prequel and asking for a PG-13 script.
Let me just repeat that.
The STUDIO telling RIDLEY SCOTT they won't accept HIS IDEA for an R-rated film and ASKED HIM TO COME BACK WITH A PG-13 SCRIPT so they could SELL IT TO A BIGGER CROWD.
Points stands. The non-3D wasn't confirmed. All we knew was that Nolan was opposed.

Boy it is pretty refreshing.

Has any superhero movie franchise had a good third installment?
-
Does Superman Returns count as a part 3? If it does… then no.
-
Hmmm, well, if isn't it going to be Catwoman, could it possibly be Harley Quinn?
Yes, I know that without Heath Ledger sob we can't do Joker, but Joker's influence on Harley doesn't necessarily need to be seen on-screen.

I've honestly thought that maybe Batman 3 can introduce Arkham Asylum, have a villain break out of Arkham Asylum, and the main plot be based on that.
There would be a huge, sealed room where the Joker is being kept. You never see him, but everyone looks at that room with fear or disgust. And we see a young Harley walking in to interview the patient.

A movie based on a fanish-scene isn't a movie.
It's called Batman Forever.
"No seriously guys! We can get the HOTTEST guy in comedy with a rubber face to do 'his thang' as The Riddler! It'll be shweeeeet!"
Nolan will close up his Batman story with this and I imagine many of us can already imagine what he means by 'rises'.

Yeah I've heard that idea bandied about - Personally, looking at it now, it would be great for a scene in the movie if Batman was just walking down the corridors of Arkhum Asylum and to his right heard a loop of Heath Ledger's voice laughing or something - with Batman giving some kind of 'knowing glare' to the camera before swiftly moving on. To sorta represent that The Joker's still there, and in-universe, could potentially break out one day. Kinda scaring and chilling a scene.
Especially now if they were to introduce Harley Quinn. Which I actually like the idea of. Lead into a plot sprung from the Joker in TDK to a whole new villain.

I don't wanna be "that guy" who bitches and moans about something that's not a big deal but… The Dark Knight Rises? Seriously? A part of me tells me that was a decision made from the higher ups in order to connect it to the immense success that was the Dark Knight, and that Nolan didn't have direct say in it.
Gotham Knight would have been cool, and would still easily be connected title wise.
-
Yeah, that is a pretty meh title.
But it's also the least important part of the movie, so yeah.
-
Like I said, I didn't want to be "that guy". XD

I'll give my reasoning while I love it so much again:
I think it works perfectly.
it really feels sort of epic to me.
We start out with the hero's beginnings in "Batman Begins", then we go to the fall that all epic heroes experience at some point in "The Dark Knight", and finally, like always, the hero ascends at the end, "The Dark Knight Rises"Very poetic.
Very epic. -

I don't feel it's poetic. For it to be poetic all 3 titles would have to have 'The Dark Knight' in them. What I loved about Nolan's films is there was no "Batman 2" crap, or "Batman Begins : Anew" kinda stuff.
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight RisesJust feels awkward for me and out of place. I agree with Buuhan. It's a 'third in the trilogy,' not a 'Sequel to the Sequel'
-
From the previous posts, we can tell that there will be no Robin for the 3rd.
I would like a Robin if he is just like Nightwing of the "new batman adventure series". His level of awesomeness was just plain supaa. He was even cooler than Batman himself.
-
It would be cool though if they started after Tim Drake died by The Joker. It could be really cool if it was a exact adaption of Under The Red Hood. One last fanservice to the fans. And it is dark enough tow ork.

Jason Todd is who you were looking for.

Really? Nice title >.<
-
New thread title is stupid.
edit: clarified a bit

This post is deleted!
-
Marginally better than The Dark Knight Falls Over.
-
The title does not matter too much as long as the movie is good and Bale fix his voice.
The title "Empire strikes back" was kind of cheesy but it was undeniably the flawless movie of the trilogy.
-
No, we're talking about the thread title.
The snickering….. -
No, we're talking about the thread title.
The snickering…..What? Its the movie's name. Followed by the sound the audience will consistently make in reaction to it.
Especially if Catwoman is in the movie.
-
Take a guess who I want to be the main villain in this last Batman Movie….:ninja:
-
So this will be a movie about Bruce Wayne waking up in the morning?
Do you see BOTH the jokes I made there?
-
Batman Gets An Erection: The Movie

Two new female characters, one is a love interest, the other a villain
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/batman_3/news/1921243/weekly_ketchup_actresses_read_for_the_dark_knight_rises/I'll wait til further details are announced. I'm just glad none of them are as ugly as Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Seriously, how did this movie pass anything? Someone should have stopped and just realized, "Wait a minute….this is horrible!"
-
Talia al Ghul anyone?
-
I wonder when RedLetterMedia's going to do the third one.
Am looking forward to it.

Indeed, Yes. Honestly when the empror was screaming "Only I have the power to save Padme ! Padme !!!"
I was trying in vain not to laugh out oud in the theater. It was painful laugh because the movie was terrible. I wanted it to be good.
It does not even deserve a 20 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. This piece of shit has a higher score on Return of the jedi (which was awesome despite the Ewoks).
Lucas is all like "Children prefer the prequels and they say the originals are boring".
They are kids , they are not grown up in their mind yet to make a decent review. It means that film critics do not need to be adults anymore.I am expecting Red Letter Media review to come around December or January 2011.
This is the Batman thread. In any case, I ml really glad Nolan really cares about the story and says no to the 3d shit.
At Akumu, she has always been a great character in the Batman animated series.

That was the most annoying video I've seen this year.
A plague on you foul cretan!

Um…
Who exactly was going to say no to George Lucas and his gazillions?
The President of 20th Century Fox itself?
George Lucas practically made them after the original trilogy...
And to whomever just questioned Natalie Portman's acting BASED on her "acting" in Star Wars...
=\
Riiiiight...
