Yeah, just an error on the manufacturer's part. Kinda surprised too, this is my first time hearing of anything like this with pretty much any OP figure.

I've noticed that with some of the styling figures you have to stretch their legs a little to get their feet to match up completely with the pegs, so it might be part of the design since they're made out of a slightly flexible material. You definitely could have gotten an incorrect base, though, and maybe just lucked out and got an incorrect one that's still pretty close in design to the right one. For those doing standard action poses, their feet are at pretty similar distances from each other.

Styling figures and old SD swings tend to be the target of many bootleg manufacturers, so I feel like even official sellers might get tricked once in a while. I went to a convention where some nasty old guy sold me a Lucci Styling that was also in a sealed box, but afterwards I realized the box was bootlegged too (though very much like the real thing) and that I'd been cheated. The stand that came with the figure would fit, but the peg was missing and the figure was messier than it should have been.

I don't buy Stylings anymore because of my bad experiences with them @_@ heh.

Also to those people talking about amiami's shipping rates, for Brooks and Sanji POP, first I had EMS as 3840 yen for shipping to make the total 13610 yen. SAL parcel would cost 3850 yen for both to make the total 13620 yen. I then asked them to be shipped seperately via small packet SAL and it costs 1380 yen for Brooks and 980 yen for Sanji. This totals up to 12130 yen. I trust SAL small package for now and don't mind the wait since I haven't been screwed. This is just a FYI for the people considering shipping options and STILL mixing up SAL parcel and small package SAL.

Fortunately counterfeiting isn't the case with the set I got, but it's definitely kept me from going back and collecting past Styling sets. I've only been into OP merch collecting since late spring and so I've only been able to get Star Hero and Wanted (plus a Robin from a SW set), so it sucks to have so many to go back and buy but pretty much zero chance of finding authentic ones (just imagine how I feel about POPs and other long-running lines =_= )

Definitely treating this as a freak one-in-a-million accident just so I don't have to worry when buying future sets :D

The stylings have a place in my heart, but I usually prefer other figures because stylings aren't as well sculpted as I'd like. ;-; The plastic they use must be different, or at least lower quality, because the bodies are never as well defined as I wish they would be. I just had to get Lucci because he's Lucci, and Paulie just for kicks…and I have an Ace because it's Ace. xd

Yeah, I'm hoping that they'll be like the greyscale figures in that pic, which seem to have pretty good detail (based on that small picture, anyway). I'd definitely prefer to have them painted, but it's not the end of the world if they're not–I might just paint the ones I want myself, in fact.

You have to order before September 3rd to secure your own issue of POP Limited Nami, so for those who want to wait for crease to come back, you can wait without any risk involved. I didn't see any limitation about the quantity a single person can order…

Edit: actually, it seems like there's a limit of 3 per person.

The art on these is REALLY good. I love the SHs, with their outfits from one of my favorite color spreads (Though there's hardly any COLOR to it, it's still a color spread XD) <33 The quality is great.

I'm super impressed with the hot sex trio posters <3 Better then the preview/box images <3 The details in the coloring on Croc and especially Mihawk are awesome. They're both looking pretty sexy too :wub: Dofla is flashy and fabulous as usual XD

If you're a fan of the characters, it's a good buy, I don't feel bad I spent as much as I did anymore XD It's expensive though so not really worth it if you just want a couple of the the non SH characters or just the SHs. Though really $40 for a couple of posters (if you put all 16 pieces together as 2 big posters) is ridiculous to begin with XD

It is if they're mass-produced. A one-off custom or two, not so much. There are people who make custom figures for a living, even on US shores, but they get away with it by only making specific parts (like a custom head sculpt that goes on a generic jointed figure). And let's not forget the still barely existent garage kit sellers out there.

I figured if its not mass produced a custom qualifies as an art piece. As long as you're claiming its a fan recreation and not your original character design and giving credit to the proper creator I don't see how they could get you for it.

Not sure how it works in Japan but if it WAS illegal, I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be CONVENTIONS dedicated to buying and selling DOUJINSHI, which are also using copyrighted characters.
