I Already made my peace with InuYasha and Shaman King mainly because they ended, Bleach manages to surprise me (in a good way) more than Naruto and the "Who said the espadas went from 10 to 1" twist can't even hold a candle to <faints>, and I manage to turn my brain off when reading Fairy Tail, so the only aneurism danger comes from Kishimoto.
Kakashi will be the teacher of the sons of Naruto+Hinata, Hinata+Kyubi, Naruto+Sasuke->Hinata.

Somebody finaly get's close to his dream, (off camera) is aknowlodged as loved and finaly has the love of a woman (that he doesn't talks to him) and the "love" of a "woman" that he loved since day one, he is repetidely told that he can't save this one person, even if he has managed to save far more damaged people by far more time by repeating his mantra "Belive it", is hit by the realization that his "best friend" has to die because he's been "eeeevil" for far too long, so he chokes up and passed out.
If you could compare the situations OBJECTIVELY, you realize that when Luffy was betrayed by the EVIL friend (Water 7) he only lost some motivation, and some fighting drive, but he keept going. Same when Ussop openly disregarded the crew, every time that Zoro puts his foot down, when he thought that Zoro killed the inocent people of whiskey peak, or even when Nami stole what little they had in the begining of the plot.
It didn't mater that things got bad and ugly, luffy didn't lose the ability to breathe and fall down, even when the world came crashing down.

Luffy and Naruto are two different characters. Naruto is a idiot who thought becoming Hokage in the ninja world would be easy and he wouldn't have to make tough decision. Naruto is finally understanding why Zabuza, Itachi, and even Danzo could do these things. Naruto still thinks he can save everyone, which isn't the case. He thinks his dreams won't come true if he doesn't save Sasuke.
Luffy just doesn't give a fuck about certain things. Luffy understands that people die in war sometimes. He is not blinded by anything and even tho he acts stupid, he would make a better Hokage then Naruto would at this point.

You know, I was just thinking about this. You can say whatever you want about Naruto. You can say it's dumb. You can it's stupid. You can say it's the biggest letdown in JUMP history. But you know what else? It's popular.
I mean, look at this thread. It's a thread dedicated to what has become one of the worst manga's in JUMP (and don't pull that pizza, boobs, 80s crap here, I'm being serious) and yet it's the most active thread in the Other Anime/Manga section and probably one of the most active on the sight. Every week it's such a treat to just see what kind of retarded BS Kishi will come up and how we will respond to it (I'm really diggin' the variations on the Naruto fainting panel). And of course it's fun to see all the stuff in between. So like it or not, we are in fact contributing to the story's popularity and at the end of the day that's what the manga-ka wants most for his/her manga.
Now, to be fair, this is only one forum and we only represent the tiniest fraction of the Naruto audience, so it's not like this is the general rule. Also, I highly doubt that this was Kishi's intention to make a manga so bad that it would gain popularity just by how awful it was. But still, it's something to think about.
