I hope this hormone injection will somehow morph Luffy's devil fruit so somehow he stands a chance. b/c right now he'll just get knocked back again.
i think that it would be kinda idiotic that after doping luffy NOW could actually be able to defeat someone strong there..
its more likely that he now gained enough power to rescue ace somehow and to flee… WB should in the end be able to strike a last blow which will help that situation..other than that it wont be possible for luffy to take out more than a VA. -
I'm aware that the NW pirates are "occupying" all the other Marine forces, but I was really hoping for them to make a splash plot wise. The only thing we've seen of real significance is the Squardo betrayal.
What I only want is for a NW captain to just come in and kick some ass of a high ranking marine.
I'd also like a couple meaningful deaths, but that wish hasn't been fulfilled for 10+ years, lol

Not necessarily, but I guess this will just be opinion. Remember how the SHs when entering the Grandline beat down dozens of lesser pirates despite the build up the Grandline had? I imagine that they'll still be a good deal of NW pirates who are below the level of the supernova.
After all, apparently some people are born in the New World so not all of them will have fought through the Grandline like the supernova.

You do realize the reason there was so much build up for the Grand Line was because they were all from East Blue, right? Mihawk said this way back near the beginnning, and it has been re-emphasized by tons of different characters. Hell, Even Shiki was enraged when he found out that they were executing his Rival in East Blue, the weakest of the Seas. Brooke's crew, by contrast, from West Blue, a sea established (so far) as the most dangerous outside the Grand Line, Had a party after entering the Grand Line at the Twin Capes (Mostly, it was so they could stop and repair their ship, but still). East Blue is peaceful BECAUSE it hypes up the Grand Line. But in reality, on most islands (Places like Little Garden and Mocktown excluded), it's not really that bad.

Where the hell is Hancock? A couple of chapters back she was getting a reaction panel every time Luffy got so much as a scratch on him. Now he's been getting juggled by Admirals and is nearly dead, she's no-where to be seen. That ho's no good.

Wow this new boost from Ivankov is probably gonna really affect the future storyline luffy just might go out at a young age . Anyway is it me or does it seem like if Ace gets free the shit is gonna hit the fan for the marines because he can fight on the same level as a shicibukai . I mean Ace is seems to be ready to snap on the WG right now hopefully he lives I see a lot of burnt little white hats and suits in a few chaps.

I actually disagree and think Oda is using Iva's hormone injection as Luffy's way of learning how to fight with Haki. From the Amazon Lily arc, we know Luffy has enourmous Haki potential that if he is able to master would increase his fighting strength tremendously.
I fear this is the direction that OP is going forward. I think the best chapters of OP are behind us. It sort of feels like Dragonball and going into the Saiyan/Namec arcs when the stories got crazier and crazier because of super fighting powers. Less creative storytelling and more superpower fighting BS.

A reasonable fear, but I'd like to point out the supernova and Whitebeard's crew, most of whom may have a part in the New World. Don't they have the same creative powers that have always been in One Piece? Even if you fear haki will change the story in a way you don't like, don't things like this pretty much guarantee some of the same story elements will be present later in the story?

I like how Kuma has been somewhere else fighting fodder. With his DF powers alone I'm sure he could put down WB for good in his current state.

I predict that Luffy will sneak pass the Admirals and tries to free Ace, but then Sengoku will make his move and attack Luffy. And just when Sengoku is about to end Luffy's life, Garp steps in and blocks the attack. Garp will not let his grandson die. That is the kind of man he is. He will betray the marines and set Ace and Luffy free.. then he turns himself in and Garp will be locked up.

You're correct to a certain degree, but these aren't just random NW captains. They are people that thrive in the NW, a place a veteran like Moria said Luffy was nowhere near ready for.

On another note, one problem I have with Luffy getting up again…it's another sign of incredible will power and endurance from Luffy (hormones aside, even if he's gained a chemical push it's still Luffy's willpower that's making him keep fighting). It's a strength that none of the shchibukai and admirals have shown yet. It makes me worry about future conflicts between Luffy and these guys. Assuming we reach the point where Luffy can beat one of these guys, and Luffy (as always) gets up after getting hurt a lot, will anyone have a reason to be surprised?
Yet, before someone flames me for that comment, it actually makes look forward to said conflicts. Obviously Oda wouldn't leave the shichibukai all unimpressive like that, after all Moria did endure some of the fiercest attacks Luffy dished out before falling. In order to match the feats of endurance the shichibukai/admirals are going to have to do some equally impressive things themselves.

I've also noticied that the Admirals are not getting hurt or hampered by the damage done by WB and crew. Even though Jose/Jozu rammed Aokiji , and Marco attacked Kizaru. Im guessing this is to build them up for future arcs .

Looking at WB, it looks like there is something in between WB and Akainu's attack.
I wonder if Ivankov could aid WB's condition with his/her hormones. That would surely help in this war.

I think it's pretty clear the admirals are stronger then the captains. The strongest admiral is fighting WB too.

That dog projectile Akainu emitted was just awesome. Talk about a technique that really meets up to his name. It kind of had a resemblance to Clifford. I wonder if Aokiji or Kizaru will unleash an attack with their corresponding animal name. Yet again Akainu's magma stands no chance against Whitebeard.

Akainu once again disliking every move the old man does seeing as Marineford isn't really looking to well. Nor are the marines seeing as the New World Pirates are owning them in this page. The Pacifistas don't look like they are in good shape either. This makes me wonder if Ivankov ever defeated Kuma.

I'm surprised to see that Sengoku actually has feelings for Ace. Ace is yet again reminiscing in his past. Unsure whether or not if he should have been born. Talk about an emotional breakdown.

Garp doesn't really look happy at all. After all it is his adopted Grandson. Once again Ivankov approaches Luffy. This time he is asking for his last request. Jinbei on the other hand is still making his way towards Ace.
Page 8
Once again Ace undergoes the emotional breakdown process. For once the man wants to live after witnessing pirates give up their lives for him. The expression on Garp's face demonstrates Ace's word really struck his heart. Now the scene changes to Buggy The Clown who actually defrosted by Akainu's magma. The clown's face doesn't look satisfied at all. For once he is not going to be a coward and fight I presume.

Marco looks really shocked now. The old man is gripping on his left pectoral. Presumably because he may be getting some type of heart attack symptom? He doesn't seem satisfied at all neither. Cursing the Marine Admiral before him meanwhile Akainu comments him about his old age. Heck, age evidently catches up to all of us.

Making his way in attempt to save Whitebeard, Marco is shot twice by Kizaru's lasers. Once again that Monkey just won't stop with his uber beams.

I thought they would've gone through him especially due to his rare mythological zoan fruit regenerative ability. Though sadly the lasers actually effected him this time. Jozu on the other hand gets caught off guard as well. At least his damage wasn't as bad as Marco's. Aokiji only managed to freeze his left arm.

I have to admit this is the saddest part in this week's chapter. Akainu vicious as always shows no mercy with Absolute Justice. Thus he impales his right magma hand into Whitebeard's chest. Pops has already taken enough damage. I think this is the final blow which will kill Whitebeard. Then again we never until next chapter.

It seems like Luffy wants to get another shot of vigour hormones once again. Ivankov doesn't really seem to like the idea at all. Seeing as it has a very bad side effect which can cause Luffy to die. Which I highly doubt seeing that he is the main character of series after all. Vista is pissed off he looks like he is ready to get some revenge.

Once again Luffy is begging Ivankov to inject the vigour hormones into him. Ivankov is afraid of doing this since he is Dragon's son after all. Though he finally shows a sign that he is starting to give in.

The last page of this astonishing chapter. Ivankov injects the vigour hormones into Luffy. Luffy stands up and has somewhat of a resemblance to Goku when he is going Super Saiyan mode. After witnessing that the WB pirates are losing the battle I think he may use his Haoushoku Haki in the next chapter.

The only person who would be scolding Ace about his actions would be Garp or Dadan.
It's doubtful that Oda would bring in yet another mystery guy

Luffy will finally release his haki next chapter, and after this is all over, I predict that luffy will go into a deep sleep that will last around 6 months-1 year. When we finally awakes he will be surrounded by the SH crew.

The guy on the left with the shadowy eyes. They're not exactly the same, but the pants at least are kind of similar. Though if that was intended to be Dadan, he doesn't really look much like how I imagined. I picture Dadan as this real hardass with an eye patch or something, not a salesman. We'll see how this turns out, hopefully in the near-future.And if Zoro doesn't fight that squid-Fishman on Fishman Island, I'll be very disappointed.

Yeah, I'm starting to doubt that Whitebeard will fight Sengoku now, unless he does get some sort of boost or help next chapter. So I'm guessing if Whitebeard doesn't fight Sengoku, maybe Garp will. Who else would be able to?

Blackbeard will knock out Sengoku and Garp, as collateral damage from his fight with whitebeard. Kind of like the mister 5 duo in the Luffy vs Zoro fight.
