As Tarantino's work produces highly polarized results you're either ecstatic or nauseous from this news. I'm in the former group.
It's not a 'he's milking it' thing either. Back around the first film's release he was very vocal about doing a follow-up. Glad to see he's looking forward to making it a reality.
Isn't there supposed to be a prequel for Inglorious Basterds as well?
Either way, I loved both movies, so I'm not complaining.

^well, it was originally planned as one movie.
Unfortunately, the decision to chop it in half (for time's sake, or money.. take your pick) totally worked against the title. Many people buzzed up from all the action, exuberance, and color of part 1 were very disappointed with 2. However i'll note that there were many who thought part 2 was just a better movie plotwise.
But in regards to 3, I'll say… get to it Tarentino! I'll be in line to see it on opening day.
Although I will show some skepticism about the whole "daughters of Greene and Kiddo battling"
feels a bit like someone's fanfiction of the franchise than an advancement.

It's Tarantino. He does what he wants, when he wants. When Chuck Norris steps up, Quentin says, "Take a number bitch."
Seriously though, if he's not in the mood for it, he absolutely won't do it. Fuck, he wants to wait a couple more years just so that Uma will be 44. The man is a nutcase, but I totally trust him behind a camera. There isn't an original bone in his body, but he kicks ass at immitation, he just does it at his own pace.
With Carradine gone (well he did die in the second movie but I can't help but feel his presence will be needed) its gonna be hard to look forward to it. Plus after all how they'll continue it outside of either Vernita's daughter growing up and coming after Kiddo or Elle playing a villan role. Or you know B.B. going after her mother's killer or something along those lines. Am sure Tarintino will think of something.
I don't see how he could top Part II.
So is there any idea what this one will be about? Will it be an entire movie dedicated to Kiddo's relationship with Bill and leading up to and including the wedding shooting? Anyway, I'm pretty exited.
It's Tarantino. I'm excited to see it already, no matter what he plans to make of it.
I am kind of hoping it won't be much like part 1 or 2. Even within that series, he's always been very careful not to make the same movie twice and I'd hate for that to stop.
But I don't worry. It'll be good or it won't and I'm more than willing to keep giving this guy the benefit of the doubt because his movies tend to make me salivate somewhat uncontrollably.
Hmm, I'd heard rumors about this, but I wasn't sure if it was actually going to happen. To be honest, I'm quite excited about it. I have faith in Tarantino and, despite one or two creative hiccups he's had, I'm sure he'll do a good job with it. He's not the kind of director to just make a movie to cash-in on its popularity. He must have something good in mind.

I hope this doesn't suck. I was never big on the Kill Bill series but they weren't bad movies. Should be interesting if Quentin stays true to his formula.
The name will have to change Kill Bill isn't accurate if it passes after Bill's death
Bill and Pai Mei were my favorite characters of the first 2 movies, so if they don't appear they will be missed
Still I hope Tarantino pulls it through and delivers 2 more good movies

Wow, I'm dense, I just actually read the article, and the idea I mentioned was actually Tarantino's original idea.
But what I didn't mention is that Nikki Bell's master is .. Elle Driver.
Think about it, blind but not dead, "I will kill you!" famous last words. She is a samurai = Blind Samurai etc.
There's also the whole controversy over how many steps BILL actually walked before dropping.
I loved volume II, I hope this surpasses it.

The only plotlines that might be involve is Copperhead's orphaned daughter or California Mountain Snake's (the eyepatch lady) revenge since she technical wasn't killed.
I seem to recall hearing rumors that Tarantino filmed some new scenes with Green's daughter just for the purposes of sitting on it until he made Pt3 and then incorporate them into a flashback while still using the original actress, but 10 years later.

Well, is it confirmed that the name is going to be Kill Bill 3? It might just be set around the same story but since the story has already finished it'll have a different name, but Tarentino hasn't thought of a title yet.

I've always been meaning to watch this (well now) trilogy as I've heard awesome things of it. Uma Therman starred in it didn't she - That mean she's expected back? and I know Carradine has passed, so he'll not be showing up.
Yeah, the main character is played by Uma Therman. The first movie is basically a revenge bloodbath with awesome fights. The second movie is mostly plot, though it still has quite a lot of fighting.

The daughters revenge plot spanning 3 and 4 and waiting until the actors were older has been known info for a long time. I thought there was actual confirmation it was what he's working on next or something. -_-
I guess this counts as a confirmation of stuff he only was "interested" in doing before, but like all Tarantino news regarding future projects (in particular Kill Bill projects) take it with a grain of salt and hope that maybe, just maybe, one of them will see the light of day.

The character died in the 2nd Half of the First Movie anyway, so if you're going to make a new plot of Black Mamba's daughter vs. Kiddo, why call it Kill Bill 3? Change the name or something.
And I still don't understand why he's milking this. Where was the Pulp Fiction 2 he promised? I liked Kill Bill, but none of his movies have the tenacity of PF. It was his best work, bar none.
Pulp Fiction was too good though, you can't possibly surpass it and thus a sequel would lessen the first one by sharing the name. It was Tarantino's Godfather II.
