If Iva and the Newkamas don't help out, I can't see Luffy defeating Magellan, Magellan's equal with a sword, Sadi, the remaining beasts, and whichever VA(s)/Akainu came to escort Ace away. I hope Zoro shows up… T_T

kudou has finished the translation! many thanks to kudou. :D crap next chapter we might be seeing who will be in ace's escort party. please let it be akainu so we can finally see the final admiral. luffy will probably eat and then head straight down to level 6 through some passage iva probably knows about. wonder what shiryuu's role in this will be. will he possibly be luffy's obstacle when he goes save ace? or maybe he will be the one to fight magellan? i still feel that magellan won't be luffy's final enemy in this arc. his final opponent may end up being whoever is the most powerful in ace's escort party. jimbei might end up being the one who fights magellan or shiryuu. buggy and mr 3 are probably freeing up a bunch of prisoners in level 5 and that will cause a giant riot in level 5 that will spread to the rest of the prison. i feel that massive anarchy is about to break out at impel down.

Both? I understood it that he is imprisoned in level 6 and also guards it since magellan is only working 4 hours? And from what i got he is stronger than magellan since he guard all the level 6 prisoners all the time and magellan is only available a few hours.

He's imprisoned there for all the acts he did to the prisoners. Since Magellan had bathroom breaks and all that shit. Shiryuu was pretty much able to do what he wanted to do. Eventually Magellan caught on and was forced to imprison him in level 6.

so if iva made luffy's body naturally counter magellans poison then that means when luffy is fully recovered he will be immune to his poison right? after all his immune system will change so it can handle poison so luffy might end up having an easy time beating magellan after this. maybe that is why shiryuu was introduced as he might end up being the final boss of impel down. also luffy's body destroyed it self and healed a bunch of times while he was recovering so his body will probably emerge much stronger after this. will luffy's body be able to handle gears after this is over as well? maybe this will be luffy's power up this arc? luffys body getting tougher and him being able to handle gears naturally now would make luffy a really powerful fighter since he still has yet to master haki.

I understood it differently. I thought all the poisoned organs and cells were destroyed and regenerated with ivans healing technique. Also the blood on the floor maybe also poisoned. Maybe he will become a little poison resistant from the amount he took. But if he was hit again by the poison hydra i think he will be in the same situation as now.

luffy is trading 10 years of his life right here so he should get some sort of an upgrade to his body. being naturally immune to poison would be a big help as he fights on in the new world. i would prefer his body naturally being able to handle gears now and being able to use it longer as we will be able to see luffy improve gears and come up with new techniques. he will most likely start developing his haki in the new world as he advances. i would prefer to see luffy learn how to use his haki little by little like he is doing now over him having somebody explain it to him and teach him how to handle it.

Yeah the poison immunity is a high possibility. I expected Luffy to get a antidote and build a natural tolerance to it somehow but this way works as the same concept. Especially since his body has been fighting it ever since Luffy underwent Iva's "Immunity" trreatment.

I don't see Magellan leaving ID so I expect him to be defeated here by Luffy. Shiryuu is a complete mystery right now. He may end up wanting to break out and oppose the ID forces since Magellan imprisoned him and may be a possible potential silver medalist to the crown of PK along with the other high level level 6 new pirates named in this chapter or he may end up going back to acting as Warden when he gets released. Making him the potential end boss for this arc. Again though it's possible he may end up not being Luffy's opponent since Luffy will face Magellan and instead he'll face Jimbei, Ace or a teamup battle from whoever gets else gets recruited from L5 or L6.

Luffy traded 10 years of his life to get a 2.3% chance to survive the treatment. Surviving the treatment firstly means that the poison was eliminated from his body. Now we can imagine what would be the side effects of all this.
1. The constant mind could have strengthen his will
2. His body could be as good as new due to the regeneration (many organs and cells had been regenerated)

It is hypocritical, but I guess most people think mass murder is worse than torture. I don't think so.
Ans about Magellan - Well, he has the power to kill them all, but he doesn't. The other guy did it because he propably enjoyed it, Magellan is just doing his job (even if he's bad at it).

this isn't dragonball z, luffy isn't a saiyen. he doesn't become stronger magically every time he is healed from near death.

Yeah you can say it's hypocritical since ID is a pretty fucked up place. The difference though Magellan kills as a deterent to either stop people from acting dumb or too put fear into the other prisoners so they don't do the same. Shiryuu on the other hand kills because he enjoys it . He would do great massacres of prisoners (I guess he killed a shitload of prisoners en masse or basically mutilated them to death or something just because he felt like killing someone) whenever Magellan was away. Magellan later caught and locked him away since he shouldn't be doing that because he finds it fun. Shiryuu's massacres must've been something he kept on doing for a while so eventually Magellan had to put a stop to it and imprisoned him.

But all in all good chapter, though I found the April Fools plot better. I liked the fruit in it better too. Whatevs.

well pretty sure Luffy would be Level 6 normally. But he is gonna die in a day anyway or whatever mags figured why let him see his brother before he dies. just let him rot on 5 till he dies, i got to poop. hell he was gonna leave him on 4's floor even.

except iva said luffy's body tore and rebuild itself countless times so luffy will probably come out of this stronger as he usually becomes stronger after a fight. there would be a legit excuse for luffy's body to become stronger both outside and inside after this is over and not just magically get stronger like in dbz.
