To clarify: I am not part of, nor do I really care about, the discussion revolving around Bon Kurei for crew. On top of that, I do not watch the anime and have no idea what either of them sounds like. I was only commenting directly to what he stated, since he provoked readers by saying, "Bet you can't give an answer for that one." He insinuated the the same VA could not possibly work for more than one person; I simply gave an example where one VA was used for tons of characters.

Well, to give you an idea, when Bon Clay isn't acting overly fruity, and sometimes even when he is, he sounds exactly like Franky. The seiyuu uses the exact same voice.

If all the empress before Boa died because of the "Love desease" (we can asume is just love for a men). Boa really need to stay with Luffy at least for a whyle to understand this feeling she`s having. I´m not saying she will become a SH but the ods are very high.
And besides, she´s kind of a cruel and funny character… when she´s kicking little animals is just WTF! Lol this girl is crazy (like almost every other SH)

Well the poster and now the gay island are indeed funny but I have the feeling that the Sanji gags are overdone a bit… He has the most NEGATIVE gags about him even if he is always displayed as bad-ass... But I belebie in Oda and hope that Sanji get something cool... He deserves it.

But perhaps it's BECAUSE he tries to act all cool? I mean, let's think about it. If Zoro were "cursed" (had as many and as severe gags about him), he'd just try to fight his way through and be even cooler. Usopp is already negative enough, as proven in TB. Robin would be boring, Luffy would weasel his way out, Franky would pretend it wasn't happening, everyone already calls Chopper "tanuki" or "gorilla", and Nami would smackaho.

Whereas Sanji reacts violently and wonderfully. "WHAT GODS HAVE I ANGERED?!" …but, in all fairness, Oda makes fun of all of his characters. Sanji has taken a lot of smack for his wanted poster and presence on Okama Island, but he acted totally cool on TB, whereas Zoro was totally ridiculous. There've been lots of money jokes with Nami, though she and Chopper receive relatively little smack. Robin is always cool-headed, but we haven't seen much from her, either. Still, there've been lots of "Can you BE that stupid?!?!" jokes around Luffy, and Franky makes fun of himself, with the mournful guitar.

If anything, I would like to see jokes about Robin more often. But yeah, agreed that Sanji has been taking a lot of smack recently.

This chapter nudges the plot in the direction we've all been waiting for. The great fight. I like the way Jimbei has been locked up, it just adds another feature to the seven shichibukai. Sengoku also referred to him as very powerful, which I'd like to see.

I think Luffy and Hancock will get married, which may not work in the real world, but Luffy may promise a return after his journey ends and he achieves his dream. But then again, Luffy wouldn't really want to settle down, yet I can't see the crew staying together forever.

There'll definately be some super strong memebers in Whitebeard's crew that we have yet to see. Whitebeard himself seems a straight up powerhouse. His title, over the hype, is so much more believable.

Yeah, the great war is most certainly something that I'm interested in. It's there that we will see what all of the strongest guys in One Piece have to offer. Just the glimpses of Whitebeard's power are enough. He split the sky and now? Well the lead ship took out what, 21 reconaissance, ships at one time? Wow.

And not to mention what you just said about Jimbei being locked up in Impel Down. So so far, we know that two Shichibukai are in Impel Down(Ex-Shichibukai Crocodile and Jimbei), along with Mr.1-3, and Ace(as well as many other pirates). Plus Garp is currently visiting his grandson. We have a ton of powerful people all in one area, and Luffy is going to free his brother. Amazing. But now, we'll see how the others are doing.

Agreed. I try to look at every chapter from every angle to try to figure out his next step, and he always throws me off. Damn, he's good.

For instance, I thought for sure Margret was going to join the SH's, but now that I see that she didnt go to ID with Boa and Luffy, Im almost sure she wont.

Then again with Oda, you can never rule anything out….except for someone dying.

That would be true if anyone important in One Piece truly ever died. I will admit that there have been characters that have died in flashbacks, but other than that, most are merely just knocked out, especially major arc characters.

To be clear, I only meant that I don't think Oda will focus on any of them for a duration of time. Of course I expect Oda to cover all the remaining SHP's (Chopper, Robin, Brook, Usopp, and Zoro), but nothing beyond a two-page "where are they now" type thing. The reasoning is exactly what you said, "a little taste of what others are doing […] by-pass the training just the same."

I still had this quoted, so I thought I'd go ahead and respond anyways.
I think we definitely have similar views on what we want and expect, but with some slight variations. I watch the anime (because my gf only watches the anime), and I'm really hoping Oda provides them (the anime) with enough ground work for them to get at least one extra episode or even two episodes out of covering each crew member. The anime did it once way back after arabasta I think, or was it even before arabasta, probably, i've forgotten as it was so long ago.

Back to point, while it's very true that just letting us know what island every SH lands on is enough to give us an idea of what "upgrade" they will get. Why spend the time to announce that the clock is being turned back unless you plan to explain something? That's my feeling, and my hopes at this time. keeps fingers crossed hehe!

While I'm still not fond of the Rescue Arc, right now, i'm imagining that Oda will cleverly have both incidents the war and the rescue coincede. There's no way this war isn't happening.

We know that MHQ has now lost track of WB and his movements, which means he'll attack at any time. We know other pirates from the New World (obviously strong enough to make the Marines mention them) are moving and will probably play a part in the upcoming war.
We know how long it will take (approximately) for Luffy to get to Impel Down.
We know that all three Admirals, and Sengoku as well as countless marines will be at Marineford for the execution.
We know that six of the shichibukai are expected to be at marineford.

How convenient is it for all the strongest marines to be in one location along with the WG appointed Shichibukai awaiting the strongest pirate to start battle.. er.. war? Seems pretty convenient for our main protagonist Luffy. haha!

The war will begin earlier than the WG/MHQ had hoped with WB showing up somewhat unexpectedly. They know he's coming, just not when. The war begins and Ace hasn't been transfered to Marineford as yet, and then Luffy storms Impel Down with Hancock. Well, this is probably all wrong, but these are my current thoughts on things to come.

Shameless-useless point, but I remember some saying that the shichibukai didn't have to show up, blah blah… Sengoku says that with Hancock coming, they now have six of them, with the only remaining one left being Jinbei.

Anyways... I think next year will be one of the best years of one piece ever! or perhaps the next two years. LOL! I need 50 more chapters stat!

I would have to say one of two ways:

1. Fighting at full strength against Sengoku, succumbs to his illness while still having the upper hand during most of the fight.

2. WG reveals new secret weapon by Vegapunk and easily kills Whitebeard with it.

The first one would be much better, but both are interesting to think about.

If you want my honest opinion (even if you don't, here it comes) the reason that Oda has refrained from killing people in the past is so that he doesn't cheapen the effect it has on the audience. This is so that if and when he does kill someone, it'll have a major impact, and be all the more poignant. A character like Pell's death wouldn't have had a huge impact on the story as a whole, but WB's death would ripple throughout the whole of the OP world. He's a major player and the death of someone like him would have a huge effect. I don't know though, not saying it will happen, just saying why I think it would be acceptable.

Hmm. Well I think I mentioned it before (unsure), but the reason for "turning back the clock" IMO would be to let us know they landed safe, and on an island of importance. Stressing the past tense there, this would allow Oda to move back to Luffy – current time -- without having to explain all the details of each SHP. So when they meet up, we know "Oh, well they landed at XX place XX days ago, where they were able to learn XX upgrade." Essentially, time has already passed while following Luffy, so in order to only show us where and how the other SHP's landed, he would have to turn back the clock. Just my perspective though.

Oda is all about suspense. Watching Zoro get puni'd on the last page was a heart wrencher. Watching everyone else next chapter while Luffy fails to protect was even more so! Concluding with the all scattered was the finale, and left the fandom shocked. Moving along in the story and setting yet another shocker in motion, Oda leaves us wondering what happened with the other SHP's and whether or not they are safe. Finally we see the world stirring, the war preperations set in motion, and news of the beginnings of this battle while still only getting bits and pieces in regards to the what and where of the rest of the crew. By leaving use with those tiny bits he increases the suspense even more while giving us the slightest hint that each one of them might receive some fortunate knowledge in their own way. Oda has never been one to ruin a surprise though, so that is why I feel he will not focus on them, but rather only give us that small glimpse and then suprise us with their new knowledge or power. Or something similar. Again, this is just my take on things.

I just thought of something. If Kuma can transport people to exact locations using his abilities then couldn't he just transport himself to Raftel using them? I guess if he could this confirms the theory that not all the pirates on the Grand Line are after One Piece/being Pirate King. I doubt Shanks and Whitebeard are either.

The Kamabaka part cracks me up, I really feel sorry for Sanji and was wondering why the island Franky ended up is called the 'Birth Place of a Genius", could it be referring to Vegapunk? And about Jimbei, is there a reason why he turn against his loyalty to the World Government and decided to fight against the Marines in the HQ. Maybe he, is like Boa Hancock, refused to obey the order of the World Government and can't forgive them for what they did to his kind nearly 20 years ago, and possibly they must have something to do with Fisher Tiger's death, or he finds out the recent incident that had happen at Sabaody Island, that a Tenryuubito shot one of his kind (Hatchi) and became enraged that the Government has broken a deal?

Luffy wants to be the strongest, greatest pirate in the world. And judging by Boa's personality, she wouldn't want any other man in her life lol (Strength is Beauty after all!). Whether or not she joins (And I personally believe she will without a doubt, but we will see as the chapters go on) She will for sure have a relationship with Luffy and it could end up being long distance, but there will be a relationship for sure, like a promise to come back for her or something… which I doubt knowing Luffy's personality (He wouldn't catch on to her romantic gestures), which is why I think she will join instead so she can stay with him.

Face it she won't fall for anyone else. It would be horrible from a plot point perspective after all the struggles she has had just liking one man, much less another in a short amount of time. She has been out to sea for well over 11 years and she didn't fall for any other man because she not only thought men as scum, but she thought none of them worthy to be in her presence because they fell for her powers so easily (She still believes this, which is why her love for Luffy is so deep). "Swayed so easily by their wicked hearts" as she said back at her appearance. Her falling for someone other than Luffy would be little Hancocks character so much, to me it would be a travesty. This is coming from someone that doesn't even like Hancock that much lol.

I think the amazons(Forgot who specifically) mentioning the fact that the marine's new technology to cross the calm belt shows that if Hancock does betray the shichibukai AL will be attacked.

Also on the Sanji thing, Robin did say in TB that he was sure to have a strange death one day, foreshadowing maybe? =x

Edit- BLAH it was with Duval that Robin mentioned he was going to have a strange death. Somebody else remarked that he must of been born under a miracle star. Lol.

i havnt been looking at much of this thread of late, so i wouldnt know if it has been mentioned earlier or not, but i love the fact that hancock still retains her bitchy traits (such as kicking a baby seal etc). I distinctly remember in the past chapter threads, many people were complaining about "how the hell can we move on from hating hancock for kicking a kitten etc to empathising with her for her past". These few panels in the recent manga chapter show that we do not need to completly empathise with her and that her bitchy selfish character still remain. Good writing on Odas part.

But that wouldn't be possible, isn't it? He just send/travel people to random places and when that person hits the ground, a paw was left there, maybe an impact of when they landed. The Kuma destination subject has been brought up before, but just a personal note on it:

His powers are to deflect, right? So doesn't he need to know which direction and by how much to deflect? After all, direction and velocity is speed. Factor in air resistance and gravity, and it's very easy to predict where a person will land. At least, if you know basic Calculus it is. Since it is so predictable, Kuma probably just does this. However, it's impossible to know the direction and distance of an island you've never been to. So that's my theory: He sens people to islands that he knows where they are, in order to be able to do so.

Now i think that the story will switch to the other crews while luffy is secretly travelling with hancock on the marine ship. In Impel Down i am sure luffy shows some further development in haki use. The others will gather at Shabaody Island with Rayleigh and will travel with the thousand sunny to ID or somewhere in between to catch luffy up and sink down to fishman island(because the sunny would be the only ship with an actuall fresh coating it gives a good change for escaping).

But the best is, my future prediction^^ Hancock will not join, but at the end of OP the crew will meet again with her and a little girl who will be luffys daughter. Oh i would like this moment and the expression of the others and luffy himself xD

When one of the marine officer mention that about 500 pirates have been captured in Shabondy and awaiting some letters to be sent to ID, does it include some of the Suprenovas? We didn't know on what happen to Kidd's and Law's fight with the Pacifista. And definitely Drake, Hawkins, Urouge and Apoo lost to Kizaru - do they've been captured and sent to ID? ID will definitely fulls of strong peoples. It will be like the Clash of Titans!!!:shocked:

Hancock is already betraying the WG and helping one of their most notorious criminals to thwart their plans in executing another one of their highest threats, I don't see how that isn't categorized as betrayal? I hope people still don't think she is somehow going to "sneakily" help, even though I have no idea what that means. How does someone sneak around when they are one of the WG top weapons, a woman that has every guy except Luffy drooling over her and has her own giant ego, does Hancock really seem like the type to sneak around and not leave an impression? I mean she was totally in love with herself before Luffy came along. She is also extremely powerful and I doubt she gets through this arc without a large battle of her own, is that mysteriously just going to disappear from the WG mind or something? Now that Sengoku has the fleet notified of a possible attack on Impel down and WB most likely heading there for his best chance to win, it's going to be noticeable when one of their Shichibukia aren't helping out when they said they would (She's with Luffy).

I don't understand how she is going to just return home to Amazon Lily either after they hear of her betrayal, I mean the way people have it is she returns to get attacked, basically suicide or she doesn't return and Amazon Lily is destroyed anyways. The only possible way this works is if she joins another group (strawhats) and makes her decisions solely of her own choice and not apart of Amazon Lily, so the WG ignores Amazon Lily or they just say that she betrayed them too. Also, we could go along with no one noticing a superpowerful pirate, that is said to be one of the most beautiful woman on the planet and specifically asked to be taken to Impel down with no explanation getting away with it all. I mean before her being empress were they not on good sides with the government and not destroyed, why all of a sudden are they some huge threat without their by far strongest fighter and leader?

Thats part of the contract. The WG ignores the 7 pirates activities as long as they do their job. Hancock is doing her job. Kuma is doing his job. The fact that Kuma was not thrown out is proof of it.
Helping Luffy is not a major crime in the eyes of the WG, but fighting for Whitebeard would break the contract. You see? Nobody in the Shichibukai is on the World Government's side, the WG knows this, but they are all playing for their status and the balance. As long as they do not confront the WG directly, like Crocodile, the contract will be intact.

Kizaru couldn't do anything against Kuma and his plans with the Strawhats. Kuma did ignore a direct order to eliminate the Strawhats and in the debriefing Sengoku himself was furious. But Kuma is still pawing around.

Somehow, I don't think Boa would fall for Mihawk. Chances are she's met Mihawk at least once in the past and for her to fall in love with him now would be impossible for the whole "If they've never done it before, why start now?" kind of thing. However, there is a possibility Boa might fall for Shanks instead as he is pretty much a carbon copy personality to Luffy, just with intelligence to back him up.

Erm, I think there's a limit to what the WG would ignore. Especially if it includes helping a 300 million beli pirate save one of WB's men and avert a war they were hoping to use to take down WB.

I think people are expecting her to stay around Impel Down, and I don't see it. Luffy asked her to answer the call and go to Marineford, he didn't ask her to stop with him. It'll definately bring about suspicions how Luffy got to Impel Down, but it seemed clearly obvious that she's not stopping with him. Why would they make a fuss about him requesting her to go somewhere where she's experienced trauma if she doesn't actually have to go there.

About your second point. Did you miss the whole part where they were talking about what they were doing on their voyage? She was talking about raiding World Government and Marine Ships WITH her crew. Did you also miss the part when Elder Nyon made the statement 'Along with the already infamous name of the kuja this earned her the immediate attention of central.' They've made too many statements foreshadowing an attack on that island if she's caught betraying them that it's ridiculous for it to not happen. This goes along with the other statement where they talked about before how they now had to fear an attack from the Marines because of their ability to cross the calm belt now. Not to mention her sisters are still on that island. The WG has done so many actions to try to save their reputation so far with multiple cover ups, destroying islands, and probably hunting cp9 to regain reputation, and you don't think they'll attack? Either this will never be brought up because Hancock goes to Marineford and it's never found out how Luffy got into Impel Down(I'm thinking that may be the reason Oda started to hint at WB attacking ID because if there's chaos throughout it and Luffy pops out of nowhere, nobody would know where the hell he came from) or that island gets attacked like Ohara, but with a much better chance of somehow surviving.

Also, I'd like to add a new theory to the 'Where are the strawhats?' discussion. I believe that either Robin or Brooke will be sent to Nanimonai(It means Nothing, and was the island Robin tried to give an eternal pose to the Strawhats at Whiskey Peak). Eh, nevermind, I think that it was just mentioned in the anime. I was thinking Robin, just because she has that bored personality and would enjoy the silence and Brooke because he was forced to spend 50 years alone. Who knows, it could go from a slight mention in the anime to part of the story in the manga, but I doubt it now.

My guess is that the marines will start losing the war, but then agree with some bad guys (BB, Doflamingo, …) to give them the Power if they can help -> start of the new era...
