Am I gonna sound like an ass for saying this reminds me exactly of the scene from Dragonball where Gokuh crash lands in the middle of the jungle after being defeated by Tambourine? I mean both were feeling pretty down about not being able to save their friends, feasted on some large local animal, and realized they could find their way back with something they happened to have on them(dragon radar/vivrecard) except that instead of being saved by some fine amazon ladies, Gokuh runs into Yajirobe…. Anyway, I know he's used DB influences before, but I just found this scene particularly striking and possibly deliberate(?), and hopefully the whoop ass that was to follow will also be paralleled.

And so, Luffy gets to the island from LOST. (My first thoughts after looking through the first few pages of his island adventure)
This was quite the conclusion to the cliffhanger we got last week. I still can't believe that Kuma sent Luffy to an island with only women.
Oda must've been watching some Disney movies when he was thinking this up. Those snakes strangely remind me of Kaa from The Jungle Book.

Ha ha, it's so funny how Duval almost looks competent on the ship. I wonder what induced Luffy to eat a puny mushroom after he'd just eaten a whole boar, other than a case of Plot Deviceitis.
Anyway, lots of odd designs. Oda does draw a lot of similar-looking women, so now we got a lot of funky stuff to balance things out. I kinda feel sorry for Luffy, being set on fire like that while unconscious, and then have someone try to pull his dick off. That's a nice mixture of the Technicolor Blush and Do Not Want look you've got going on there, Marguerite.
Man, when the anime eventually gets around to this, there's no way in Hell I'm going to be able to watch it with people present.

but that chapter....lets wait oda won`t disappoint us ,in the end it will all make sense believe me ,angry folk, who wanted some crazy fights and top tier fighter instead of the story oda is telling us now over 10 yrs...yeah how could he...but iam sure he will show us that what we want to see in near future...time by time

Have you noticed on page 14 in the middle there is the sign that i also saw coming out of Kizarus kick when he kicked the first time at his arrival on shabondy Island. I don't know if it's just a sign for something shiny or no. Well maybe that i'm trying to hard to find patterns :)
I'm interested in what Shakky says. Has it been translated? It would be great. Anyway thanks BF for this scanlation. -
