I'll be okay with Nanamine's plan as long as he,at some point, says "Screw the rules, I have money."
Otherwise, its just… so over the top and extravagant. Its just really going against the "real world behind the scenes" factor that made the series so appealing to begin with.
And its weird because its a legitimate business plan tactic... but its not a personal achievement, which is why in the context of this story, its going to fail. Its STILL work being done by committee, even if its a better picked and sensible committee... too many chefs are going to destroy any dish. It still has the same inherent flaw that it'll fall apart over time without a main narrative to carry it through.
Though actually, thinking about it, with rotating writers and committee deciding the overall course, its actually kind of like how american comics are done at Marvel and DC, where one writer or one artist isn't the entire identity of the story.
But it is true, a best selling manga that sells a million volumes of the tank will make back quite a lot of money. Long as one or two of them actually make it big, the crazy over the top operation would start paying for itself.
On the upside, Nanamine probably wont just self destruct this time, and he'll have to actually be beaten... his arc had an extremely unsatisfying conclusion before, so maybe now with the stakes raised it can get the ending it needed the first time.
Also. Nanamine is still nuts.
