How does her having a low and frozen bounty point to her having a better chance at joining? Only 2 SHs had bounties before joining; Robin and Brook. Robin's was higher than Zoro's and Luffy's before they got their raise.
There is no rule that a person with a high bounty can't join the crew or that a person with a bounty higher than Luffy's can't join since Luffy's bounty will always continue to ride every arc.
That wasn't my point :P I was talking about from a sub-conscious level, Oda presented this bounty being alot lower than we are used to seeing on most shichibukai (other than Crocodile and now Blackbeard obviously), right around the range of the current higher tier/mid tier. Technically it means nothing, but Oda has been using bounties for a while now not to gauge strength, but the position of the character usually relative to Luffy and the other strawhats at the time of the reveal. Now there is obviously exceptions to this with Kuma and Robin, but like I said, comparison figures like these are usually foreshadowing techniques for where Oda wants to go with the story. She is under Luffy indirectly just with this lower frozen bounty, which is why it opens up another possitive possibility where there might not have been one before. (No one would argue she has a chance at joining if her bounty was frozen at 250 mil + its only a positive if its low enough it fits in the range of the straw hats otherwise its a moot arguement and the joining crowd would than go on the defensive where they would talk about the exception with Robin, most didn't think it was possible before because she is a shichibukai afterall, but the lowered bounty undermines just how powerful she is and can actually be used for a positive instead of something to be defended).

Meh her ability seems as hax and broken as a logia. It either works or doesn't makes it more suspect. The best thing she has going for her is that rare haki. Personality wise yes hers has been more evident than Marge's but that doesn't mean much seeing as Oda can always improve and expand on Marge down the line.
Her powers do work on Luffy, just not the stoning ability. Her pistol kiss attack still hit and went through Luffy since he commented on feeling it pierce him. The comment I was making was that her powers are variable and can be expanded as the story goes along just like all the rest of the strawhats. Who knew Robin could pull off that wing flight ability with her powers? Franky can customize how he battles with each new fight because he is a cyborg, and Ussop keeps coming up with new long range combination abilities with his more inventive nature. We havn't seen anything with Margaret that would make her stand out even among the Amazons, much less someone unique enough for the strawhats. Not saying it can't happen, but even Paulie had a higher chance of joining than margaret right now just because of his unique rope techniques.
I will admit one thing, I didn't even want the thought of her joining two chapters ago (and I was one of the people who came up with the slave theory before the chapter happened that revealed it) Just because of what you said. Someone with a one shot kill ability like that is not something I want, not because it can't be avoided, but it opens up a possibility that her fighting style would end up being nothing but her trying to seduce her enemy so such a one shot kill would work (constant Deus Ex Machina always in the back of peoples of mind. In end if it gets hairy she could just stone her enemy with some cheap trick as plot development lol). Still despite that I see it almost like inevitability at this point, much like how I thought Franky was after seeing his conversation with Ussop. So I try to think of all the good things that could come from her ability and potentially see if the fights could be interesting. Her powers are unique and could fit easily with the other strawhats with there uniqeness.

No it's not obvious and aren't all of the empresses of AL within the same family? If not that wouldn't the empress be the strongest/ most beautiful amazon on the island after Hancock? I don't think you can just appoint anyone for the job to be leader and protector of the island. So far Marge would not qualify for the job. Unless gonna reveal that Marge is Hancock's daughter or is she is apart of the family or in fact she is AL's strongest amazon when it comes to Hancock's subordinate's which is all unlikely.
I am just commenting on the possibility and give explanation to what will happen to marge after this is all done. To me the Kuja all want someone that is a fierce leader who stands strong for whatever she believes in. They definitely want someone strong but they also want someone they respect. She could easily show as the story goes along she can at least stand up to the other Gorgon sisters before the end of the arc, and thus making her among the strongest of the Amazon even if she won't have a unique fighting style.
Anyways my problem with Margaret is none of the strawhats ever had such underwelming personality deficencies when they were first revealed. She came in looking plain, and still doesn't seem like much other than a good friend for Luffy at the moment (She reminds me so much of Conis its scary). I am not doubting the possibility she could change before the end of what I believe will be assuredly a long arc but almost all the strawhats started to become really obvious around there first full reveal with the firm exception to Robin who became a strawhat before anyone even realized it as a possibility. Even Franky was like this once he showed exactly what he looked like (He looked almost identical to Luffys Shipwright drawing he showed at the start of the arc.) And Hancock is also the only character in this arc that was foreshadowed before arriving there. She was referenced back at Thriller Bark and no one knew who the person the Risky Brothers were talking about.
I will say they both have equal chance of joining at this point, but I personally put Hancock as the front runner and someone I am almost willing to bet on at this point. But things can change very quickly in this series though. I just try to find any foreshadowed events that could make any of these two strawhats and Hancock is the one that comes out on top for me. I think Margaret would need to get a devil fruit at this point to make her chance go back up if she even has a chance still. She at least needs a unique fighting style before I can even consider her for strawhats anymore. Its the only visible trait that all Strawhats share that made it more obvious whether they would join or not (Vivi certainly didn't have a unique fighting style and she had everything else going for her to be a crewmember otherwise :P)
