Wow I just realized that Zeo is technically naked.

He is wearing a belt. It's an in thing this days.
But seriously…you just noticed it now?
-
-
@Al!naJames:
No he's not? He's wearing a skirt.
A skirt that matches his body? Is that the fashion at FI these days?
-
It's not a skirt, it's a tunic.
-
A condom suit .

This is my first colouring! If you guys have any good tutorials for colouring manga pages, feel free to link them.

I love the texture you added to Zeo's white bands looks awesome!

Nice. Keep em coming. XD
thanks yeah i plan to, am sure oda will drop another epic page or panel next week.
looking forward to it.

Hodi Vs Zoro Underwater epicness, man oda out did himself with the original manga page.
i am gonna nitpick a little. Its too bad you did not include the bubbles that make you understand that Zoro is really underwater. You did not include the NFP standing behind Hodi. Part of the epicness is Zoro being outnumbered.
Apart from that amazing coloring.

Tough I kinda dislike Zoro, gotta say it's really ass kicking. Like Rene already said, keep'em coming!
-
Gotta agree with Lana.
I agree the scene was epic. Zoro's face… looks funky :P But still amazing.

It is Lana, Sabo. The dude is particular with his name. :ninja:

-
Hey, I saw that! lol
Actually Lana is A piece of my huge surname XD -
Here is my verison of Shirahoshi. I used the gimp program for it.
!
-
Nicely done and all but, hell, there's no way I can picture her likke that @_@
-
Great Job Sano…:)
You can't imagine Ariel LP?

You can't imagine Ariel LP?
Nope, I guess not. I picture her with clearer colours, and maybe something by the lines of gold and silver.
-
The colors are a bit heavy imo but still looks ok. XD
The recent chapter looks tempting to color…very tempting.
-
Ok, whoever told me I can colour backgrounds (RUINED CASTLES UNDER WATER?!!)… was it my own self? Dear GOD.
I need so much practice with backgrounds, SO much practice =_______=
I suck.
Doesn't look anywhere as nice as I imagined it it my head :(

[/hide]I gotta agree that the background (esp. the part behind Hodi) seems a off compared to the foreground (maybe because of absence of lineart).. But who cares? You color characters better and better. I like that dark color prediction of Hodi and the tats. XD
-
I like Hodi's colors, hope he'll be like that even if he's a great white shark.
-
That's amazing, Alina. Dont beat yourself up. I couldn't do 1% of what you do. Keep the good work, I love it.
-
Amazing coloring ! I love the detail on the bubbles and the good taste in color.
The only problem I have is Hodi's eye that looks weird. In the manga, we did not see eyes in order to show us that he was kind of surprise or maybe intimidated by Zoro's bold move.
I have to admit that this is probably one of the hardest page to draw. There are a lot of important details that contribute to the epicness of the page.
-
Hodi is waaaay too dark, he needs a white stomach!
But Zoro was nice. :)
-
Thanks to these colourings I notice things I didn't before. Like how Hodi has a dead dog around his neck.
Lovely colouring, Al!na, but I agree with Sonic Youth, Hodi should be lighter. And I hope he doesn't have a pink hat… -
@Mrs.:

The (hu)man's best friend. Coincidence ? ^^

Damn, those are just great _
Very nice effects !
I also love how you coloured Zoro's sword, especially the Kitetsu's handle and guard.
Zoro's belt is also genuinely done. -
Next, can you do one of Hodi getting pwned?

Sorry, no more underwater adventures for me :x
Besides that one is like 70% of Jones, and he has the most horrible outfit ever :x My fashion sences creek when I look at it, not to mention having to bring it into colour. Thanks guys~
Even though it still sucks ;_; Boobooboo -
^Get Photoshop.
Otherwise, you chose good colours for each field, BUT, the sky should be as light as the water, and palm trunks ain't dark green.
-
Paint.NET can work just as good as photoshop, or even the SAI paint program.
Feedback–try using shading techniques and don't be afraid to mess around with the light source~

What you did was just using a bucket tool. Never do that ever. Especially not on PNG scanned ink pages.
And stop writing in horrible fonts. -

Do you know a good website that has a tutorial for it or do you know where the shade and light source options are? If so that would be great! :D
… what? xD
Try deviantART for some tutorials. There are a ton there. And shading and light sources are not buttons you can push on photoshop. To shade, you make parts of an object darker and some lighter, depending on where the light source (the sun, for example, or a lamp) is. Ever look at your arm outside? The part at the bottom is darker than the part at the top. That's because the sun is giving more light to the top part while there's less light at the bottom. That make sense?
