Thanks to both of you, Bond & Glass, I really appreciate your effort.

The anime adaptation of Part 3 is coming in Spring 2014.
I can't wait…

Yes! Thank you for the birthday gift, davidproductions!

Your monthly dose of wtfisgoingon is here.
Enjoy.

That ability reminds a lot of Hot Pant's one. Also a lot of stuff make more sense now that they revealed she has a long range stand.

Any ideas on what Papermoon is a reference to?
Everything i could find was Soul Eater's opening. -
Paper moon is a classic book. "It's Only a Paper Moon" is also a well-known Ella Fitzgerald song. Take your pick.
-
^^Ok, thanks. I was looking just for Papermoon so I didn't find anything.
-
So, I have a quesstion.
I am about to finish Steel Ball Run, so I just wanna know how good is Jojolion compared to it.
What do you think guys? -

What do you think guys?Popular opinion places SBR at the top of the JoJo series, so Jojolion has it really rough in a direct comparison.
Add to that the fact that Jojolion is SUPER weird (sometimes bordering on unconfortably so), hasn't had a single straight fight in 26 chapters, and some parts are not very exciting (trouble with the curve. . .).
In my opinion, this is the best mystery that Araki has wrote so far in the Jojo series, and it's what basically drives this part and makes it worth; it is, in a way, addictive, because it really builds up the mysteries chapter after chapter. Oh, and coming fresh after SBR, you're gonna appreciate some stuff midway through it.
Be warned, though, again: it is mighty weird.
-
I rank Jojolion among the weaker arcs for a number of reasons, but it's still very good and there's no reason not to read it.
Regarding the latest chapter, I'm glad the new character isn't another Higashikata. The cast felt a bit claustrophobic for a while there.

This post is deleted!

For a moment there, I thought Dio actually won. LOL.
That was awesome, now I need to forget it so I can read it again.

Out of curiosity, why not read parts 1 to 6? They have ups and downs but there are many moments of epicness rivalling part 7

You're right.. Why didn't I think about that? shit.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll start it real soon (real soon like now)

Part 2 is the best part. Of any manga. Ever.
Also, you can watch the anime adaptations for parts 1-2, which is a kinda low budget one but it is quite fabulous and over the top. And super stylish.
-
I'm more of a fan of part 4 myself, but Joseph is the best Joestar and it's always gonna be.
-
Remember when you get to part four to read the Duwang version the other translations are inferior in every way. :ninja:

My favourites were always rhe ABAJs.
-
Hahah oh man that takes me back.
-
Whats up with the titles of the second part being spoilers for the contents of the chapter? It completely ruined the plot twist that Stroheim isn't a spinless bastard.
Anyways, I really like this part, Joseph is a million time more likeable than Jonathan.
-
Indeed.
Joseph is one of the best JoJo protagonists, man.
-
Joseph is easily the jojo with the most personality+screen time.
-
Well, Jotaro has the most screentime, but has the personality of a particulary badass wet towel.

And the best stand! I mean hermit purple, what a great stand name.

I prefer Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap myself. But I just realised, isn't Yasuho's stand a lot similar to Hermit Purple?

A slight bit similar, but mostly superior.
Hermit Purple simply allows Joseph to see anything anywhere in the world (including a map of whatever town he happens to be in), with proper compensation.
It's also a bunch of vines.
Paisley Park has some form of precognition, but it also suggests (or forces, as it seems to be doing recently) the best option for the situation at hand.
And since it takes the shape of a humanoid, it also has some physical power.
It's actually more similar to Ticket to Ride than it is to Hermit Purple. -

Totally unrelated but I wonder if Santana is still alive and what his stand would be.

I'm expecting part 9 to have the pillar men… with stands. Would make sense, considering Dio was brought back in SBR, and Yoshikage Kira is pretty much part of the plot of part 9. Between unexplained bs ability of two-personality Diavolo and the awesome pillar men that absorb people and become ULTIMATE BEINGS... I see the second as more likely.

Just tongue in cheek with my username lol. Obvs when you branch out from the tarot you can be much more creative

You can't get more pillar men with stands like the light novel Jorge Joestar where Cars gets like all of the OP villain stands and makes them more OP by making them ULTIMATE stands with pretty much all of them Requiem'd
-
Part 9 needs to be a Sci-Fi series. With cool Stands named after Daft Punk or other electronic and futuristic bands. And Space Cars… with a Stand. And a female Jojo protagonist.
-
Part 9 will be the tricky one. After Steel Ball Run and Jojolion have mirrored everything they could from parts 1 to 6, Araki will have to enter the uncharted genres.
Like mecha. Or sports. Or harem romance. Or all of it together.

Holy shit, a harem series by Araki! I think the word "fabulous" would snap in two from that

I now want to see Araki's take on the following:
Obnoxious moeblob
Tsunderes/actual bitches
Crazy stalker girls -

As long as everybody's badass, any arrangement works!
Who's going to lead the petition campaign?
-
OMG….and all the guys just have a bunch of bizarre stand powers with their SOLE function being related to flirting and looking fabulous or something. (Completely pointless Stand powers but my god...think of all the ridiculous possibilities).
-
And the final villain will have stand that goes inside people and molds them into the mot impossible but fabulous poses while breaking their bones and twisting their organs, which later gets upgraded into erasing your memories so the Jojo won't remember which part of his body was resisting the enemy stand but somehow our protagonist will die while still forcing his own fabulous pose.
-
The ultimate villain's stand is Araki.
-
Hmm. I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet
Here's the cover of Volume 3 of JoJonium

That Dio looks like Jim Morrison.

I thought it was Caesar .___.
-
Why is Jonathan wearing Joseph's bandanna?
-
I thought it was Caesar .___.
Me too because of the Joseph down there or is that Jonathan?
If so why does he have Joseph bandana? -
Technically Caesar's bandanna. At first I thought it was Joseph, too, because of the Bandanna and it would connect Part 1 to Part 2 (not sure how many chapters are in each of these rereleases). But then I started questioning it when I remembered that in recent material, Araki's been drawing Jonathan with the bandanna and giving Joseph a hat with aviator goggles.
As seen here.
A](http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2012/09/18-1/shonen-jump-greats-pay-tribute-to-jojos-bizarre-adventure)nyway, it's probably Jonathan.

This is not my first time reading a Manga where the villains are honorable and all, but shit.. SHIT. ACDC, Wham, and Cars are just too much! I love them too much I am just fanboying over the place because of it! I can't do anything but adore and enjoy every panel showing that mutual respect between these people who want to tear each others apart!
I am at that chapter where the chariot race is about to begin. Is this a hint that Araki wanted to draw something about horses for a while before he got to it and made Steel Ball Run?
