@Wagomu:
Are you kidding? So far, we've had:
-All sense of overall strategy undermined by chance meetings
-Main enemies having the choice between a shitty weakness and a lack of personality
-Shallow fan bait
-Shitty artwork
Plus, most of all, it doesn't actually feel like a war. The various battles feel loosely connected at best and their magnitudes aren't too large (not surprising, considering the enemy is a bunch of clones and several select ninja zombies). The action is so isolated that it makes me wonder if the allied forces actually gathered more than fifty or so men for their army. It feels like literally all of the effective fighting is being done by the limited amount of people we know.
I know it's no use complaining. The lack of quality was inevitable way before we knew war were declared. Those are my two cents, though.
-All sense of overall strategy undermined by chance meetings
Perhaps you have a valid point with this however if i'm to play devil's advocate, it is a war and things dont always go according to plan. Look at the Sasuke retriveal arc, they had a plan but it didnt work. If every single thing went perfectly according to the kohona nin's plan someone, likely you would call bullshit on that too and say that's unrealistic.
-Main enemies having the choice between a shitty weakness and a lack of personality
Everyone except Haku and Zabuza, who's weaknesses were getting stabbed and binded with a jutsu. Pretty sure that would have worked on Kakashi, Sasuke and Naruto as well.
-Shallow fan bait
The enemies suck, granted but i'm judging the war based on what we have, not on what i wish we had. Kishi killed off all the other villians so these are the guys we are stuck with and i'm gonna judge the war based on the fights between them and the hero's. Would i have preffered villians that made senese? Yes, but there aren't any. Even if the villians suck that doesnt mean there can't be good fights and interesting tactics. For example Foxy in one piece. I hate him as a person but his fight againt Luffy was a good fight. The same can happen here.
-Shitty artwork
I agree. This has no baring on wether the story was good. I hated the animation in the first few episodes of one piece but that didnt make the Luffy vs. Buggy any worse for me.
And as for the fights feeling isloated, i completely dissagee. They were split into divisions, there was whole 2 chapters dedicated to that. (I think) So no they arent gonna all be fighting side by side like spartans. You can't ask that because it was clearly stated they werent going to do that. Now lets look at what happened.
1.Sai's team went out ahead of everyone else so they fought first and were able to defeat their enemies quickly.
2. Neji's team encountered enemies
3. Kakashi's team encountered enemies
4. Now gaar's team is about to encourter an enemy
Yet we saw IN THIS CHAPTER the action switching back and forth between Kakashi's team, Neji's team and Gaara's team. Unlike Bleach were each fight was 2 chapters and then we moved onto the next fight like it was a tournament this is how you are supposed to show a large scale conflict. Oda did the same thing when he showed us croc vs. don, jinbei vs. moria, and luffy vs. smoker, each chapter had bits of a fight and then we moved on and then we'd come back to it, showing what everyone is doing.
All in all the point i'm trying to make is that while there have been missteps already and i'm not holding out hope that Kishi will do something amazing, i'm not gonna tear apart every chapter just because I can. If it's not that bad i'm gonna give credit where credit is due. So far the war hasnt been terrible. That's all i'm saying.
