I'm also with Zoro on the first half of his closing line.
I'd like to have seen him battle Ryuma when he was alive. That would have been killer.
The flame is described by Ryuma as eminating from the wound.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh~~~
Thanks to anyone who helped =D
I betchya the flame came from the friction Zoro caused when he striked him. Either that or is his spiritual powers.
I loved that fight considering Zoro didn't get hurt. That reminds me of a real samaurai fight. Usually all samaurai attacks have the intent to kill. So if you messed up in blocking someones attacks. You are most likely screwed.
So Zoro block all of Ryuma's attacks. But, Ryuuma couldn't do the same. One strike, One kill.

That's any realistic duel, really - s'got nothin' to do with samurai.
There's almost never a prolonged exchange of blows. One person generally fucks up, then dies.
we know that zorro didn't try very hard either…its like whenever he fights
with his bandana on..you know he's either serious or he thinks his opponent is strong..in this case..i guess NAH! ryuuma is nothing!
btw the links dont work anymore..sigh!
havent you guys heard of www.yousendit.com?
megaupload and that sendspace is sh*t…
I'll translate this and post it on translate section. :)
Wow, that's some action filled chapter. Almost no talking. Because they understood each other as it is.
Gotta laugh at how speechless Brook is. He looks so fucked up, you can be sure he's no major fighter this time.
I'm out for tonight :s prays for scanlation

Yeah i guess your right.
Thank you! now I can properly translate Ryuuma's/Brooke's attacks.

It's working for me. Did you put the password in?
Now Rapidshare, that one is shit.
Anyone else sick and tired of Enel ?
The plot in the cover story is fine, but is takes tooooo looooong time -.-
Oda could had told the same story on 20 lesser title pages.
oh WOW~! Wonder if any fights are gonna top this in the rest of the Arc.
That was definitely one of the better chapters in months.
Thanks to everyone who found and provided the chapter, even if I had to wait for Ritual's update.
Its a bit harder for me to keep up with battles whenever Zoro fights, but it is still an extremely impressive chapter showing the skills of both Zoro and Ryuuma. Somehow I remember someone saying that Zoro was probably going to use a "dragon move" to stop the zombie samurai…and I really liked how that came true and Zoro inherited Ryuuma's sword. And now with Brooke's shadow back and Zoro's fight over, there's one more important battle I want to see start next week: let's go Chopper/Hogback!
Enel's cover story is perfectly fine, but it'd be a lot more interesting if it wasn't:
ENEL TAKES TWO STEPS FORWARD
ENEL FINDS ROCKS
ENEL LAUGHS
ENEL TAKES A SHIT. A LIGHTING SHIT.
Zoro igniting flames bugs me , oh well awsome chapter none the less
I think the biggest problem with the Eneru arc is that Oda spent too much time setting up and working with the Spaceys before just having Eneru shock the pirates and the robots to a crisp. That and…its the moon, there's not much on there even in the Odaverse.
we know that zorro didn't try very hard either…its like whenever he fights
with his bandana on..you know he's either serious or he thinks his opponent is strong..in this case..i guess NAH! ryuuma is nothing!
I disagree. I think that in this fight he just didn't have the luxury of spare time to put his bandana on. I mean it's non-stop roof-busting, ground-shaking action from start to finish, and you can see from the expressions on his face that he's not having an easy time of it – Ryuma keeps predicting his moves (for example, they both decide to run around the side of the roof at the same time, so neither ends up surprising each other or catching each other off guard, as they'd hoped to.
The thing that clinched the fight for Zoro was that he realized the only way he'd be able to surprise Ryuma would be to go OVER the roof, and to attack from above. So by ramming Kitetsu into the roof, he was able to use it as a lever and get enough force going to get to the top of the roof. Then, it would be up to momentum and his own weight to propel him down the other side. And "flying" like that at Ryuma was a way for Zoro to psychologically wound Ryuma too, because it made Zoro seem that much more like a dragon.
Zoro's biggest risk was not knowing what would be on the other side to stop his fall -- but he lucked out in that he was able to fall onto the smaller roof. And landing there meant that he'd still have Wado with him, even if he let go of it, and still be within an easy climbing distance to retrieve Kitetsu.
EDIT:
actually, I've just noticed that he has all three swords with him when he falls, so he must have pulled Kitetsu out of the roof just before racing up it. That means he probably didn't use it as a lever, he just used it as a means of support to climb down low enough to avoid being hit by Ryuma's roof-blasting cannon-type move that took place just before then…
"Leave it to luck" – it's not luck really, it's intuition that's been honed by years of hard training.
Genius genius genius.
I'm chomping at the bit for the official release now. I want this issue of SJ more than I wanted "Treasure" (and that's saying something!)
[thanks in advance to our translators! – looking forward to seeing what's being said as well]
Hot Damn this was a excellent duel, short, sweet and to the point. And hey Zoro got a new sword out of the deal as well. Excellent stuff, thats three Thriller Park freaks down, five to go.
Thanks for the chapter.
I love it how this arc is short & cool.
I'm betting the old man in the graveyard will have a surprise thank you gift for the crew, for the return of his shadow.
Wow, I enjoyed a Zoro fight? Amazing. I hope he manages to do it again sometime.
Great chapter. Full of lots of great action (almost read like a Bleach chapter, except much better).
I don't like Zoros new attack that much… If we not count Brook as a Mugiwara, the half of the Mugiwaras can use fire-related attacks (now Zoro, Sanji with Diable Jambe, Usopp with Flame Stars, Franky with Fresh Fire and maybe Nami can create fire with the climatacts?). It's a bit too similar to each other.
But the rest of the battle was cool :P
By the way I'm thinking Robin and Chopper vs. Hogback and Cindry will last from 468-469 and finish volume 48. Then Ruffy and Moria will battle the first 3-4 chapters of 49, then a bit ''aftermath'' with Brook joining, and in the last few chapters they'll take to Fishman Island =P.

Oh, yeah! Where's the one guy with his PWND sig?
After reading the chap a second time around, I can safely this had some of the best fight choreography of any Zoro fight. Can't wait for a trans.
wait, how did Ryuma get purified, they didn't throw salt into his mouth or anything, or did he willingly give brook his shadow back
I was yawning during the EL fights, but this is something completely different. These fights are concise, well-drawn (the changing perspective on the roof!) and each one is based on an unique idea. I'm really impressed. They remind me of the Ace/BB battle.
Edit:
@cp9luchi - that's a good question :)
Wow, that was a boring chapter.
Usopp has had the most interesting fight so far this arc.
USOPP.
wait, how did Ryuma get purified, they didn't throw salt into his mouth or anything, or did he willingly give brook his shadow back
His body was destroyed.
AWESOME chapter! This is by far my favorite Zoro fight so far! So, Chopper and Robin's fights are probably going to be next. Wonder what they'll be like? Great arc so far!
Yeah, his body was pretty much incinerated. Good old fashioned Zoro action that didn't have the lameness of the Kaku fight.
And yeah, it looks like Enel finally found his paradise on the moon… with no people living in it.
Next Week: He finds a poneglyph and ponders if he made a mistake.
Boring? Hardly.
This was one of the most well drawn battle scenes so far. It wasn't drawn out, it had a TON of action, and anyone thinking this was "easy" because he didn't get hit or bloodied needs to rethink Ryuma… one strike would have killed Zoro. Same goes for his attacks against Ryuma. And just because he doesn't use the bandanna doesn't mean he didn't go all out. As I said in the Spoiler thread, he risked his life to get that last attack off. Classic 1HKO.
Thanks to those that provided the raws, and future thanks to those that translate & scan.
Whow! Enel sure has too much energy!
Hm, well… that was pretty good for a Wannabe-Pokemon-battle! But because I'm a Brooke-fan, I'm a little sad... Brooke got owned easily and Zoro finished the battle in 5 minutes without his bandana... well, but now we're finally safe of those "Brooke will have a big comeback!"-comments. phew Even I got annoyed by this T_T
Thanks for the new chapter!

gasp I have a different opinion than you
No, this fight was crap. Flashy sword clashes + "OMG!" reactions from Franky and Brook + recycled about 3 times until the last attack.
Maybe I need to go reread it, but I was not impressed at all my first time through.
Best Zoro fight since Mr. 1 (but still doesn't top it).
I don't see anything "boring" about this fight. It had no goofy giraffe antics interrupting the fight, and the action was intense and well-illustrated all the way through.
Definitely one fight I'd like to see animated (though not with the recent quality of the anime, but that's getting off topic…).

You said it was boring ….. fat kids in a pool is boring ...... paris hilton trying to be serious is boring.... hell 80% of naruto story line is boring. im just having a hard time seeing how that fight even resembles boring.?! Maybe it was a bad choose of words on your part because it sure didn't feel like watching paint dry.
Any how some one needs to get the trans out. Makes me wounder if zoro is going to put his own spin on brook's move.
I personally don't agree with Geg, but, really now, it's just his opinion.
He has no obligation typing out a paragraph explaining his thoughts.
Damn that was worth the wait. I still think Usopp's fight was more enjoyable, but that was the first Zoro fight I really enjoyed. Probably because he hasn't really fought another serious swordsman since Mihawk.
To the people complaining about Enel's Moon Adventure being boring, pretty much all of the cover stories begin to get tedious and seem to be going nowhere after the initial interest wears off. They usually are much better when read quickly rather than a single panel a week. Except for Wapol's story, that one was just stupid. I didn't really care much for Ace's either…
This is NOT my translation. It is from Ju-da-su from MangaHelpers.
One Piece
Chapter 467 “Pirate Zoro vs. Samurai Ryuma”
Pg. 2
Franky? – The hole go right to the outside
– The clash between the weapons --
Brooke – Even though he just throw out some thrust
What degree of destruction is that . . . !!
Ryuma - . . . Yo-ho-ho-ho “Pushing it aside” I see.
Franky + Brooke – Eh!?
Pg. 3
Ryuma - . . . Yo-ho-ho. But that was really close . . .
Franky – What is that!? When did the guy with stomach band counter hime!?
Brooke – Ho-ho . . . right at the same time . . . !!!
The man also attacks then . . . !!
== Check this. The reading is "ano hito no zangeki mo tobu" I am not actually sure what tobu means here. Kanji is "to fly", I got that, but how should I phrase it? - -“
Brooke – That samurai zombie . . . he is moving by my shadow but . . . !!
In his life before this one, maybe he is “guardian” of the samurai . . . !!
. . . Maybe those two . . . for swordsmen
They perhaps have the same type of physical strength
Franky – If they really are, then what will happen?
Brooke – It means they got the same root of “destruction power” . . .
The victory or the defeat . . . probably will get decide not so long after this
Pg. 4
Ryuma – “Prelude Of Hell”!!! == Some katakana check might be good. I mean, "ofueru" is the RAW said. And I don't know how to make it a proper words.
Zoro – The technique of making a weapon into two!?
“Nigiri” (Double Slash)
“Hirameki” (Flash)!!!
“Makuma” (Demon Bear)!!!
Pg. 5
Franky + Zoro – Wow!!!
Ryuma – “Gavotte Bon Naban”!!!
== No idea wait “bonnaban” supposed to mean -*-
Pg. 6
Zoro – “Nitouryuu” (Two-sword style)
Iai
“Rashoumon”!!!
He fends it off!!!
== Don’t know if it is a good word to use though, for “ukeyakatta”
Pg. 7
Franky – Waah!! The pillar is breaking apart
Wait a sec, HEY . . . !! That floor is going to crush us down!!
Careful!!
Hey you!! Hang on a sec, we are going to get away from here!! The roof is falling down
Zoro – “Nana Jyuu Ni Pondo Hou” (72-pound cannon)!!
Ryuma – “Polka Rumeez”!!!
== Man, I hate Ryuma’s attack name, because I am so bad with Katakana. What is “rumiizu” supposed to mean?
Franky – “Weapon Left”!!!
Pg. 8
Zoro - ha
ha
Brooke – Ge-ho, Ge-ho
Franky – That . . . that was really scary!!
Brooke – Huh?
Zoro – Nuaaaaa!!!
Pg. 9
Brooke – Wah!!
Aah!! This is dangerous!! I am falling!!
Zoro – Ku!!
He’s on another side!!
ha
ha
ha
Waah!!
Pg. 10
Zoro – Waah!!
I’m falling!!
ha
Pg. 11
Brooke - . . . to be able to fight in the place like that . . .
Zoro - ha . . .
If this goes on, it is possible that the swords will break apart . . . The body and spirit that supported the strength of the legendary swordsman is surely not a fake one . . . !!
ha
Ryuma - ha . . .
ha . . .
Zoro/Ryuma - ha
ha
ha
Pg. 12
Franky – Waaah!!
Hey!!! Is that going to be alright!!?
Pg. 13
Zoro – “Ittouryuu” (One-sword style) . . .
“Hiryuu” (Flying Dragon)
Ryuma – “Hanauta” (Hum) . . .
“Sanchou” (Three-shot)
Pg. 14-15
Ryuma – “Yahazu Gi . . .” (Arrow S-)
Zoro – “Kaen”!!! (Blaze)!!!!
Pg. 16
Ryuma – Wah!!!
The slash wound is burning!!?
Pg. 17
Zoro - ha
ha
Ryuma – . . . I lost
ha . . .
Formerly, it’s the “famous sword” that stay at the hip of the legendary samurai . . .
ha
“Shuusui”!! If you become its master, this sword too
must be very satisfied
ha . . .
Pg. 18
Franky – Just now . . . what did he said? That samurai . . .
In short . . . what does he mean?
. . . Briefly . . . !! It is already concluded . . . !!
. . . This kind of battle . . . I just saw this time the first time
That samurai . . . when fighting with me
He really didn’t get serious at all . . . !!
It was a wonderful battle . . .
Ryuma – The body of this samurai . . .
To be defeated . . . is so painful . . . !!
Pg. 19
Zoro - . . . the swordmans which the feeling of shame
is enough to bring together the soul and body . . .
I actually wanted to meet you in the time when you are alive
== This one, I blame myself, for trying so hard to understand what really is he saying. “hajiru kimochi ga arya jyuubun . . . shinshin tomo ni atte koso no kenshi da . . . ” My fault for not getting what is Zoro saying, but did try my best to translate it though - -“
Ryuma – Uooo . . . !!
Brooke – Wa
Oh!!
I . . .
I!!
I got it back~~~~!!!
I got . . . my shadow back~~~~!!!
I accept the sword . . . !!
Winning or losing, there is nothing that I can’t do now
Samurai from the country of wano . . . !!!
== Need some help. I mean, wano is written in katakana, so I don’t know whether it is supposed to be the name of a country, or “my country”
Thank you for reading.

I think someone translated it prior as a pun. Whenever Japan is referred to in certain literature, it is called "Wa no Kuni". Meanwhile, the island Ryuuma is from is "Wano Kuni" (the country of "Wano"…though personally after this and with the SH getting ready for the New World, I want to see them visit this somehow on their way to Raftel)
Ryuma just got PWNED!
Geg liked the Sasori fight in Naruto, so he has a rather unique taste in fights (not trying to insult you here).
I think one of the reasons this fight was great was because this was the first time in a while Zoro had a swordsman as an opponent who didn't rely on some goofy gimmick. Mr. 1's fruit, Ohm's iron cloud sword, Kaku's giraffe shit, and so on. Plus, Ryuuma was a samurai, so it kind of added that "flavor" to the duel. It was a rare time where it felt like Zoro was fighting a swordsman.
Plus, everyone who's saying "he didn't need his bandana!!"… please shut up. The Bandana doesn't give him a power boost or anything silly like that.
This chapter has me kind of excited about what will happen next.
The fight turned out pretty good, better than I expected. And from reading a translation, it seemed that the fight wasn't that one-sided, both seemed about even, though Zoro's swords were appearantly about to break just after a few clashes.
I was yawning during the EL fights, but this is something completely different. These fights are concise, well-drawn (the changing perspective on the roof!) and each one is based on an unique idea. I'm really impressed.
I agree completely, natli! So many of the EL fights seemed to drag (in my own opinion, of course), but this one is closer in spirit to the fights that occurred on the train to EL, that I found much more interesting than the EL fights – the non-stop action, the small space to move around in, filled with friends as well as foes, etc. And when Oda broke the horizon line and had us briefly towering over the tower to see the action from a birds'eye view -- that was exhilarating! It's as if now that he's got all his 10th anniversary obligations over with, he can return to the manga with a renewed spirit.
Boring? Hardly.
This was one of the most well drawn battle scenes so far. It wasn't drawn out, it had a TON of action, and anyone thinking this was "easy" because he didn't get hit or bloodied needs to rethink Ryuma… one strike would have killed Zoro. I think these are all excellent points too. Now that the Mugiwara are entering the New World, they've got to concentrate their actions into short, deadly blasts. Time, aim and force will be critical. There will be no time to refuel on the wrong beverages or to mess around with handcuffs or to wait for the chibi-effects to wear off before beginning a second attack. The person who bumbles around like that in the New World is probably as good as dead.
I liked how Oda in the previous chapters had it drawn so it looked like Zoro was blown out of the roof with Ryuuma standing at the top.
We were going oh noessss Zoro lost!!!! and what is that surrounding Ryuuma? Dust? Aura? Smoke? Some new Dragonball-esque power up?
Now we all know. It was all backwards!! lol
I laugh now because I don't know if people who reads the tanko's only would appreciate all that detail into the story. Only people who reads OP weekly and flesh it out over the week might enjoy this. ;)
Thx for chpts .Looks incredible.
This battle was amazing…
However though I just wanted to say I enjoyed every One Piece fight so far. Including all the EL ones you guys found boring. I find Oda puts so much more detail and intensity into his battles without dragging things out so much. I guess its just that when i look at Bleach, Naruto or D gray Man (i love D Gray Man btw) they spend way to much time on these full page or half page shots, but for Oda most of his panels (disregarding size) can are like that. If this was to go at the pace of a regular shounen it would take around 5 chapters or so. Of course feel free just to disagree, i just wanted to throw in my input.
Also whats the size of the sword? It seems much larger then Zoro's Wado and Kitetsu.
Damn. These few last chapters are the best and fights are great
That was an awesome fight. Can't believe Geg said it was boring. What Carter said was quite true, we haven't seen Zoro take on a true swordsman since Mihawk. Good chapter overall.
