I posted the question about the book Sanji referred to, Vegapunk's studies, and everything on another OP board awhile back. Basically, I got that there has been no solid information, but OP directs us to the concept that there can be no two users with the same DF at the same time. After a user dies, I think it was like 50 years (or something) before a new fruit of the same kind will grow.
This still makes things interesting for how Vegapunk can study and this weird book. How old is this friggin book? It would have to be old, for why would they publish it unless they had a LOT of the DF's logged in it? Also, besides studying fruits Vegapunk actually can get his hands on, along with DF users available, is he studying old records?
It's all very hazy and it's definitely one of the things I'm most interested in learning about.

The answer is pretty obvious, we don't know. You can speculate till the cows come home, byt until anything has been revealed, we can't say. We barely know anything about Roger.

I for one am against the thought of Roger eating a DF.
I find it more amusing to think that an ordinary (not really if he was the Pirate King) man conquered the Grand Line.
I know it might sound lame but what if Roger didn't need to eat a Devil Fruit because he already was devil incarnate and he made the devil fruits from his own presence. That would be more amazing than him actually eating a devil fruit. -
Luffy is a simple minded kid and gomu gomu fruit suits him. If Gol D. Roger, an enigmatic character, fought by saying "Gomu Gomu no Rocket", i would think it was a joke. He would most probably does not have a devil fruit or he has serious fruit.

What the hell happened to Kuro?
I think there was a panel/scene with him in a prison cell after Luffy's New Bounty was revealed (Dunno if it was the one of 30 or 100 millions), but I'm not completely sure.

Luffy gave Kuro back to the Black Cat Pirates and hasn't been seen since. There was an anime-only scene of him seeing Luffy's 30 million beli bounty, though. You're probably thinking of that.

Pretty sure he was. He came running to tell Kuro about Luffy's bounty, but Kuro was already looking at his own copy of the poster.

there are a few pages just before they arrive at longring long island with colourful eels. but I don't know if they are really part of the comic or some kind of prolonged coloured coverstory or omake in the weekly chapter or something.

So that they don't each have individual threads like they do now? Basically this thread is for questions (related to the manga) that only need answers rather than disscusion.

This is more of a disscusion question, but I'd say it's close to zero, the only time being when Mihawk is sick and disoriented.
In addition I'd like to say that this thread shouldn't be lolcked as it has a good purpose that could in turn lead to less un necessary thread making if people gave it a shot instead of mocking it.

Who is screwing who in the SH crew? They are in their late teens or older so in real life there would be a lot of "action" off camera. I'd say:
Nami - Luffy mostly.
Robin - Zoro/Franky mixture.
Sanji - he's mostly training in dry dock if you ask me.
Usopp - there something unsettling in his relationship with Chopper, but its too disturbing to follow that train of thought to its logical conclusion…
Brook - surely the guy's got a permanent boner and it's no wonder since he's only bones...
Am I missing someone? Maybe Vivi - anyone goes strategy...Only human.

Why don't YOU think about how the premise of this thread is counter-productive, seeing that all relevant questions can be answered by… oh I don't know... reading the manga? Unless it's rhetorical or impossible to know, in which case it's just speculation, which is essentially the same as the "Theories that don't deserve..." thread. And unless there is a devoted group of knowledgeable people who will constantly monitor and answer useless questions, and unless all of the people who come here with a useless question will actually read through the pages of other useless questions, it will drag on forever as people feel compelled to find pointless things to ask about, and probably ask things that have already been answered.
I am a big supporter of allowing people to make lots of quirky topics of discussion even if they aren't important, but what I hate is a thread that purposely encapsulates something far too vague and endless to become anything except a magnet for mindless overlapping nonsense.

But I realized how there is never interaction between two persons that could possibly had sex together.

err, I think nakama literally means comrade and tomodachi means friend (I suppose. I don't know japanese either
) so he probably means nakama by a comrade that fights alongside each other, rather than friends. And Luffy recognizes Brooke as a nakama that he needs in his crew. -

This thread is cool, so is "Theories that don't deserve…" . The only problem is those moderator-wannabie thread police who think every posts that are not posted by themselves dont deserve a thread. To avoid those parasites, it's safer to post in those thread. i think we need a guideline to define whether something does/doesnt deserve a thread.

If Whitebeard and the other 4 Emperors of the New World are also aiming to become the Pirate King, what is actually stopping them from reaching Raftel in the first place?
Since Gol D Roger and his pirates managed to get there and back, surely the surviving members (Shanks, Buggy, Mihawk, Silvers Rayleigh especially) must know the secret of getting there, that is of course unless Shanks doesn't have any ambitions towards the Pirate King position.
It must be something almost completely fool proof that it has stopped people for 22+ years (excluding Roger) from ever reaching the island, even if some of the Emperors could be in close proximity to the barrier, why is it so nigh impossible after for them to figure it out even after all that time?

Well, probably because there is no "barrier". To me to reach the final island in the grand line and to acquire OP is to become the greatest pirate, defeating anyone else on the way and being recognized as such. It's not about finding an object or a place. So, it's natural that no one has achieved that in 20 years as the world is in balance - all powers are equal and no one can rise above that. In a way you could say that the yonkou, the Marine HQ and the Shichibukai are all the "barrier" that is preventing anyone from being fully dominant. So Whitebeard for example is the strongest and closest to OP, but cannot become Pirate King because the other powers would stop him if he tried. Same goes for Marines - they want to eliminate the Pirate King possibility, but cannot because the Yonkou and the Shichibukai would stop them. To me it's the equilibrium of powers in the Grand Line that is keeping the world peaceful and guaranteeing that neither group can achieve its ultimate goal. However now that we have the war starting that equilibrium will probably break and a way will be revealed for e certain Monkey to become PK :)

short answer wolvesbane: we have no idea how the path to raftel works.
It could be something as silly as it's a chance encounter. You need the logpose to reset during travel like it did for the strawhats before skypiea.

The funny thing is, the path to Raftel could just be hidden because it takes a few years or so for the Log Pose to set on the penultimate island, like on Little Garden. The reason why that could be difficult is down to the proximity of the island and the difficulty for the log pose to stay in the same place for the right amount of time with everyone else trying to stop them.
