Now WHY couldn't we have this chapter last week?
I actually hope Pitou just brutalizes Gon. Would be an interesting twist:P

no way gons going ssj
The "G" in Gon stands for GANGSTER.
Yes.
Yes it fucking does.
If Pitou were to ever call his bluff, Gon'd be SOOOO screwed.
I very much doubt he's bluffing.
Poor komugi…
Question!! where are the elder hunters? Mansion guy and smoke guy?
I remember mansion guy came back and picked up Shoot, and smoke guy had lost his pipe.
And... what were their names?
Novu and Morau
last appearance
[hide][/hide]
i want to see gon use paper effectively, like a good beam/ball in this fight
The "G" in Gon stands for GANGSTER.
hell yeah
This chapter was great, I just love how gon had complete psychological control over pitou and pitou knows that he can kill gon easily but won't because he's afraid of what gon might do.
Poor Komugi having no idea what's been going on, I feel bad for her.
The "G" in Gon stands for GANGSTER.
Damn straight! Little guy has more swagga than a good deal of shounen heroes. Seriously, he was quite the badass. Excellent chapter and I am glad that we're at least going to get one more chapter before the inevitable hiatus.

is there really going to be another hiatus or is this just speculation because his drawings seem good now you know
and yes gon is gangster

So far there hasn't been any news of a hiatus, though the hiatuses tend to happen with next-to-no announcement beforehand. His art IS getting really good now so that can be a sign that he's going to keep on going. If another hiatus does come, I just hope it doesn't have a cliffhanger. I fucking hate cliffhangers.
lol
"WHAT HAPPENED TO MAKE THEM THINK LIKE THIS?"
Hisoka and Kuroro sneeze
Why is it Oda and Togashi can maintain excellent manga week by week, really exciting stuff when Kubo and Kishimoto seem so lackluster these days? Each week now it's like "better get Naruto and Bleach read sigh*. With OP I feel really excited and same with HxH, both have developed very strong sense of maturity for shounen titles lately. I mean just LOOK at the seriousness on Gon's face when he threatens Pitou in this chapter.
I'd say it's because Oda and Togashi are excellent storytellers who create vibrant worlds and genuinely love what they're doing, not so much with Kishimoto and Kubo. Kubo loves what he does but isn't that good of a storyteller while Kishimoto is getting quite tired of making Naruto from what I heard. That and the fact that they both create awesome side characters who are never to be heard of again, like Chad and Rock Lee.

Awesome bad ass moment… XD

read beelzebub that will give you something to look forward to
only 1 chapter that wasn't completely epic

Gon reminds me of Goku there
For a shrimp kid, Gon is damn scary.
Not a bad interlude chapter. Wonder if, while Gon and Pitou are away, the King will drop by Killua's group.

Beelzebub's good but it's not epic an epic manga would be: Toriko

well i disagree on beelzebub not being epic
but i agree on the fact toriko is epic
beelzebub is a good manga. nowhere near the standards of OP or HXH though.
but I will say this there both better than bakuman. I don't know what it is about it's creators but they seem to manage to take an interesting idea and end up going solid for a little while than it suddenly repeats itself which I believe is bad for a series to do.
Just read the chapter. Gon is all kinds of badass. I hope that we do get more than 10 chapters this time, 11 is pretty much confirmed but I hope it's more like 20… or more. Togashi's kind of bending Shounen rules with this too, since isn't it almost always end up that the main character faces off against the strongest enemy? Gon's fighting the second strongest. Not that that's a bad thing, it's kind of refreshing.

His art is getting much more better and detailed though. Looking at the quality of the background effects, it looks like his using assistants now… maybe its going to go on for some 20+ chapters before Togashi calls another hiatus.
A horrifying thought occurs.
So, Gon and Pitou are off, having gone to revive Kaito.
And the rest of the force is left behind in the palace, holding Komugi hostage.
What happens when Yupi, Pufu, and the King return, with the latter discovering Komugi is being used as a shield?
DUN DUN

Guess were gonna have ourselfs a mexican stand off
Guys, I got a question. I stopped reading HxH somewhere in the September-arc because I felt it was kinda boring. Should I continue? Is it worth it?
September arc?
Should I continue? Is it worth it?
It's probably a better time investment then 90% of the current shounen schlock out there. So yes, it is.

Yupi and Pufu are going to be eaten by then. Because it's the only way to remotely justify that awful chapter of them doing nothing but orgasming.

Assuming you're talking about York-New… um... why the hell did you stop reading? Did you even get to the Spider's introduction yet? And hell yes, keep reading. I can see why you might find all the bartering shit in York-New boring, but all the badass Urouge fights should have kept you entertained.

Urouge stars in Hunter x Hunter as well?
I so have to finally get reading this manga.
Am I the only person who thinks that this arc is very similar to the York Shin Arc from the overall structure?
The enemies are uberously strong and can not be defeated by regular means (except for some retards who are unable to learn and get severly defeated)
The enemy is brought into a situation where raw power is worthless
Instead, progress is achieved by stopping the situation from escalating
In the end, the enemies become harmless simply out of gratitude to the heroes.
Unless someone loses his nerves and starts a massive brawl, the result may actually be the same.

Bucephalus has the wrong name it's Uvogin
I think I ll watch the anime.

yep wanted to point that out some time ago, but wasn't inspired.
It is a constant all along.
Bomber, the scissor-guy, hisoka, … were also far too strong for our heroes and ended up like you said.
I think for Togashi unlike Oda it is the villain who never dies!!!
Wow.
That went straight over my head.
You probably just have that upcoming AP character tournament on your mind.
Share the Urouge

Share the Urouge
If Urouge (the forum member) makes a video of the new opening in the style of Share the Urouge, the result could be quite epic… hint hint (someone direct him to this post) hint
I think I ll watch the anime.
i would recommend that as well. but don't watch ova 2 and 3, they suck. read the manga instead
I say read the manga. Manga > Anime for series that had the manga published first.
Ova 2 and 3 aside, the anime was actually really awesome.
And I'd have to say that the best animation would have to be the episode where
the finals of the hunter exams happened.
Hopefully we get back to that sort of storyline soon.
I grow tired of this bug arc.
I forgot what was the arc before the Chimera bugs arc anyway…because of the many years since I read them, was it the greed island, or that other 1 w/ those group (forgot those guys name also)

Recluse or something.

It was greed island and then Chimera ants. By group, do you mean the one with Chrollo Lucifer and the Ryodan in York Shin?

ryodan ,now I remember : P

the anime being incomplete aside, i would say tv series and ova 1 >> manga. the anime brought the story to life the way the manga never could, especially the hunter exam and york shin. the animation, pacing and soundtrack were really good. just compare zoldycks vs kuroro in the anime and manga; the former's easily better.
Some parts of the anime were better than the manga i'll give it that but as for pure tension and feel the manga had it where some parts of the anime didn't feel the same. Like Uvogin's fights with the Shadow Beasts ( was that there name?) was fucking awesome in the manga but the anime just took the suspence right out of it for me at least. There are some note worthy fights in the anime but that's not the reason why I read HxH.
I watched the anime only, but it stopped. The only arc that pissed me off was the Spider arc. They didn't have one fight for like 20 episodes.
The manga surpasses by far the anime.
What about the Kastro-Hisoka fight - did not even make it in the anime.
And the atmosphere was completely different.
But maybe it is because I first started reading the mange before watching, that I am biased on this one.
Hmm… spoilers aren't too intriguing so far. But I always say that, and then the chapter turns out to be amazing.

Where are they? Onemanga? I always have a problem finding a site that has HxH spoilers other than when they're posted in this thread.
