Already did.
16 dont vote for DBZ plz
Even though One Piece is really popular and everything… it's gonna lose to Dragon Ball. Everyone already knows that.
But we should at least try. Come on and prove your Fanbase.
idk maybe nobody will notice it
One Piece FTW

The DBZ set was Season 5, and no offense, but that set kinda sucked for the exception of the Picollo vs. No. 17 fight, and Vegeta's Final Flash. One Piece, uncut, has been a highly anticipated release, I'm sure it'll do good.
I already voted for One Piece.
DBZ is awful… Send this to multiple forums please.

Only if your a One Piece fan.

People have already debated over that and shouldn't go throwing any series under the bus especially if it's for the One Piece anime.
I'll vote One Piece, but… Come on. Truly. This is America. And we're dealing with the typical anime fans.
If DBZ or Naruto are anywhere in this list, they will win.

Truth, but I'll vote anyway…just maybe, if we get this site to put some work in, and put this on other One Piece sites, it could win!
What in the fuck is Home Media Magazine?
Anyone else Find it odd that All the anime are listed as "International Releases" but somehow, Ghost in the Shell was included with the Domestic Animation?
Good point Demon Rin. I think rather than discussing whether OP deserves to win this award, perhaps we should consider whether or not this is an award we'd want it to receive…
when you judge what happened to the one piece fandom once it's been broadcasted in the US, i'd rather have it not win any award outside of japan.
What in the fuck is Home Media Magazine?
I didn't know what a lot of the things in the list were either.
As for One Piece having a chance, well Naruto wasn't in the category that OP was nominated in. Dragon Ball was tho.
One Piece probably outsells Naruto anyways, since not only does Naruto have TV airings (why buy when you can watch?), it also is much more accessible in dub form online, while OP, to my knowledge, is not.
One Piece has as much chance as any of the others. Drop the subject. Now.
I'm sorry, when exactly did you become a mod? was it before or after you decided your entire reason for being in this forum was to attack a single member of it?
I voted one Piece, Off course, no question there but what the bloody … is this award anyway and indeed, Ghost in the shell domestic??
Anyone else also voted for Ghost In The Shell?

Let the guy have fun. I'm pretty sure I know who it really "is", anyways…
If out of a stunning conclusion Fun Piece does win, does that help our TV chances???Just wondering…?
It could. "Award-winning Anime Series returns to CN soon!" Nice ring to it, if you ask me.

I've never heard of a canceled show getting brought back from cancellation after winning some awards so I'd say this won't really affect any potential TV plans positively or negatively.

Yep, and while this isn't necessarily DVDs take it from somebody who works in a Barnes & Noble, of the enormous amount of kiddies reading endless volumes of manga, then leaving the books anywhere and not buying them, most of them are reading Naruto. So I doubt that if they can watch the episodes for free on Cartoon Network that most of them will pay (or have their parents pay) for DVDs. just like most of them don't pay for the books.
One Piece on the other hand must have huge DVD sales because
1. Now it's only available on DVD
2. It's something One Piece fans have been awaiting for a long time now.

Yea but how many Fun Piece fans are there opposed to DBZ fans
One Piece has won an award from 'Home Media Magazine'.
A site whose current Top Story is:
'ATLA Releasing recently screened “Six of the Hottest Gay Films” during a traveling weeklong mini-festival, dubbed TLA Releasing Presents, in New York, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Yes indeed. The cynical joke writes itself so I won't bother.
Just voted for one piece, seinfeld and some random stuff I never even watched :D
I don't think it will win, but at least they'll know OP has a decent number of fans.

I wasn't talking about which set is gonna win the poll. I was just stating why One Piece fans are more likely to buy the DVD releases than Naruto fans.
DBZ is awful… Send this to multiple forums please.
Don't make me kill you.
Also, I'm sorry to say that I voted DBZ Season 5. Sorry, Cell Saga>One Piece Season 1.
hides
sorry buddy but you voted for the wrong set Season 6 has SSJ2 gohan
Season 5 i think is like trunks vs cell and vegetas final flash
Don't make me kill you.
Also, I'm sorry to say that I voted DBZ Season 5. Sorry, Gohan going SSJ2 and the rest of the Cell games>One Piece Season 1.

SSJ2 Gohan is in Season 6 of DBZ. Season 5 was just the Imperfect and Perfect Cell Sagas. So One Piece Season 1 Voyage 1 > DBZ Season 5 (imo).
EDIT: Beaten to the punch line…though I mentioned it earlier. And yes SantoryuMaster97, that's what Season 5 has...don't forget Picollo vs. 17.

Yeah, I noticed that. Crap.
But still, Cell Saga is my favourite saga in all of DBZ. So I had to vote for it. There were many great scenes in the Season 5 boxset, although not as awesome as season 6's.
I would have voted for One Piece if it didn't end so abrubptly. They didn't even finish the Kuro fight! I'm nitpicking, but I wish there was another disc in that set
that's what happens when you do 13 episode sets.
Well we have to live off what we got which are very crappy 13 epi sets (not crappy but not very fun) They should at least put like 20 epi or 16 in like every 2 or 3 months plus they need to put extras like more commentary i can see people are starting to nit pick what we got
(no offense fps anth)
Like I said in the DVD topic, 13 eps is fine for $25-$40 bucks. I don't wanna pay $50-$100 for 26 episode sets since I can't afford that, so 13 is just fine.
God, did DBZ REALLY spoil that many people.

Someone else on AoD suggested having 26 episodes on each set, and releasing them every other month, and here's what I told him:
@Vegard:
But really, that's just asking the impossible. If they ever changed the schedule to a bimonthly one, that would be a miracle in and out of itself. If they did what you suggested, they'd have to dub 250 episodes a year. We'd run out of episodes in less than two years!
In other words: No.

And also FUNi's taking a long while to release just 13 episode sets, imagine how long 26 episode sets would take.
I wouldn't mind 26 episode sets, if they had a suggested retail price of no more than $59.99. Though I don't see that as very likely.
Actually that would be 156 episodes per year. Still psychotic if you ask me. Besides doesn't OP only air like 36 episodes per year in Japan or something like that?
The impossible can become reality
and i never said 26 episodes i said 16 or 20 the most which is pretty generous if we do it every 3 1/2 months i think that would work with a retail price of like $50.00 i think that would work
Stop being greedy and enjoy what you have-_-

…
that is awesome.
Well, guys, FUNimation acknowledges the site…
If the e-mail I got for voting on this thing is right, it seems like Torchwood won.
…
...
...
.....What's Torchwood? I've never heard of it.
A Doctor Who spin off. Not particularly great either.
Boo! Why couldn't OP win? :(
I'm surprised it wasn't DBZ, let alone One Piece.
Torchwood, what the hell is that?
You would know if you read the post right above you. It's a supernatural British series which was spun off the long running (one of the longest running programs in history) "Doctor Who" series.
If you want to know more, just wiki it. I like Doctor Who, but Torchwood seems like shit.
Home Media is like the magazine for those stay-at-home moms, so yeah, no way an anime show would win to a show that fits their age range.
