Well its safe to say that the SHs may all be seperated and not on the same island. Completely forgot Ray actually gave them the Vivre? paper. Thats their ticket to get together but how?
Chapter 514 "Only Mushrooms are Sprouting from his Body" Discussion

Who is suddenly changing their opinion? This is just the sudden excitement of getting an early chapter. In a few days people will be back to saying the same things they were before.
He was referring to people from the spoiler thread.

Page 5, seems like theres a big wind approaching. Dragon i say
I would say that the wind is due to the high speed of SH crew members flying away from shabondy island :) Maybe that your post was ironic in that case sorry.
-
I think that's the scanlator's logo. They always place it in unusual places….
Ok Thanks good to know that now :)
-
Been spoiled a little on this chapter sadly. I hear of hot amazons. I shall see… waits for scan
-
Page 5, seems like theres a big wind approaching. Dragon i say
The winds in the sky are indicating that the Straw Hats were sent to different places, you can see it again on page 6-7.
edit: as MagneticMonkey said.
-
Have you noticed on page 14 in the middle there is the sign that i also saw coming out of Kizarus kick when he kicked the first time at his arrival on shabondy Island. I don't know if it's just a sign for something shiny or no. Well maybe that i'm trying to hard to find patterns :)
I'm interested in what Shakky says. Has it been translated? It would be great. Anyway thanks BF for this scanlation.is it the same sign as the bottom left of Page 12 first panel when luffy throws his arm of giant. And in Page 13 last panel where luffy is picking mushroom ?
U have it in every page dude. -
^ is it the same sign as the bottom left of Page 12 first panel when luffy throws his arm of giant. And in Page 13 last panel where luffy is picking mushroom ?
U have it in every page dude.Yeah now that you mentioned it i saw all of them. I just got flashed from the one on page 14 that i became blind :)
-
"SUPER!" :)
I always appreciate "interesting" drawings of manga women :)
The Mugiwara crew is mostly a sausage party, so let's see if Oda adds another female character.
-
Ok now heres the thing; Luffy wasn't talking during that entire part when Margareth entered, except for a scream and something else while he was being burnt. So Luffy hasn't mention anything about thinking of her to join. However, even thought its a stretch, she has gotten a few panels to herself.
Which begs the question; Oda's not taking a break next week is he?
Edit => I did a count on how many times shes been in a panel. Its 10 while her fat friend only shows up to 7 on top of that we didn't get a full view of her next to Margareth.
-
This chapter is cruel for Luffy in many ways… The flying through the air... The deadend... The Mushroom... And the funny situation Luffy has landed in. X-D
-
Suddenly I can see Nami appear with the amazoness clothing on.
-
aslong as LOLA isn´t showing up in amazone clothing, i guess we´re fine lol ^^
-
Well, whatever happens, Luffy owes Kuma a big ''Thank you'' for sending him to an island full of women as opposed to a Marine base, an island with nothing to eat or drink, the open sea, etc.
-
Thanks for the link
Anyone else surprised Luffy knows how to make fire?
I remember back in Skypiea he gave Nami a lecture about camp fires
-
@AcethePuma You're worried about Lola being in the amazoness costume but not the ones with the manly faces, the fat ones, the weird jaw bone one or the oddly shaped ones.
And what thanks? What could Luffy benefit out of this? Hes not interested in women as far as I know, they'll probably just hunt him down and cut his wang off then sacrifice him to their deity or something.
-
Oh my god….. the last few page of this chapter is giving me the Ranma 1/2 "Shampoo and boy Ranma" vibes...........
-
I remember back in Skypiea he gave Nami a lecture about camp fires
Haha, he did to. I don't think it ever really let on him being able to do one, just that he is familiar with the ROMANCE~ of a camp fire
-
Actually, the snakes remind me more of Sir Hiss from Robin Hood than Kaa… Okay, so they were essentially the same character, but Hiss just had the similar clothing.
Yeah, huge change of opinion here, I think it's actually quite cool now. The spoilers made it seem worse than it really is.
I know I'm not alone, but I like the tall girl and I'm feeling very guilty for it. :<
-
Well, I meant thanking Kuma for not sending him somewhere that could outright kill him.
…of god, I just noticed that when he's thinking of everyone else, the only person we're shown is Nami. I can hear the Epileptic Trees rustling in the wind...
-
I noticed only a few particular women had a snake…. Make me wonder a bit... Especially with the monuments and all.
-
Woo! Thanks for the early chapter!
Me, I'm just going to pretend that these are fishwomen and try my best to enjoy this arc. We must trust in Oda and keep the faith! Somehow there's got to be a point to this… new development.
-
I believe that the women who have got a Snake are the warriors of the tribe.
-
The tall hot one does not have a snake and she looks liek the warrior type. Could they be bestowed upon chosen warriors?
-
the snakes could be assigned to protect warriors in training, and keep an eye on progress.
Just an idea
-
the snakes are probably as simple as a sign of leadership..the way margaret was talking to the women when they found luffy makes her look like some kind of leader…not to mention the tall one is saluting her
-
Thanks Kiavik!
Duval and his crews are really friend in need!
I'm not so sure, Rayleigh's Biblicard seem a bit burnt black at the edge…either Biblicard don't have regular shapes.
-
The snakes are similar to Sir Hiss (Disney's Robin Hood), and I believe that Robin Hood uses him how bow(or arrow?) in a scene. I think that Amazon's snakes can have same use (an i'm sure that other users too, not only how walking stick/baton)
-
well seems like what i predicted
they all got vivre cards to silver and they will pick up new crew members as they travel back
-
Well the Snakes are drawn according to the art style of Disney's Jungle Book. (From Spoiler Thread:) Anyone else notice that the snakes are drawn Jungle Book style?
As far as I can tell, Elric and I both noticed…and one other person.
-
I believe that this chapter marks, in a symbolic way, the beginning of the second half of One Piece.
Basically, this is a second start for Luffy. He's more or less in the same position as in the first chapter.
He's got no crew, no ship, and he's stranded on an island which might not even be in the Grand Line. The only difference is that he's much, much stronger than when he first met Koby.
How the story will unfold from here, only Oda knows.
And btw, Kaa and Sir Hiss were designed by the same animators. Of course they look similar.
-
I noticed the snake being from jungle book…
-
Dinty!! Looks like you don't have to be disgruntled. We got our neutral, no?
Looks like I had a good enough idea:
@brennen.exe:Of course, it could still work with one or two pages of other events, and then Narrator moves to Luffy.
edit: Nevermind. Cannot find it, and I see I missed the addition of the screen where it showed his paw print in the Spoiler thread. [Fail]
-
@Kuso IX Kuso
Congratulation!!! You are the facepalm of the day… Everyone noticed it...You should first read the thread...
Edit:
Sorry that was a bit harsh
-
Huh, I don't know what to say now that the chapter is out. I like the beginning I guess, since it deals with the aftermath of the battle in the last chapter.
I will say, that the amazon with the keystone cop hat is my favorite. She looks so…well...silly.
-
@ Kishido Bite me I was only responding the post a page back.
Anyways, can anyone confirm if Luffy mentioned anything about Margareth being recruited?
-
@Kuso:

No dice. That was the spoiler providers opinion. Luffy is KO'd from start to finish with the ladies.
-
DAMMIT I knew it! Oh well…judging by how many Margareth appeared in this chapter she may have a chance. A female that can fight, shes trained to so she has a better chance than the other ones people have been mentioning. (Perona and Camie)
Oda usually gives you a full shot of the character that has some significance to the story arc. I will say that because Camie had the same thing happen to her but nothing happened.
Hmm...I was thinking, if the SHs are all scattered...would there be a chance that Buggy might run in to say...Franky and both have an awesome time together?
-
We won't know till next chapter or until a good tranlsation, but it looks like Oda really did separate the crew. I didn't think he'd be ballsy enough to do it quite honestly. This kind of development could make or break a show. I have faith in Oda so far, so I have high hopes for this. I'm sure the chapter with the full reunion of the crew will indeed be powerful. Man, I can't wait.
But, back to point, it takes some serious guts to put your main protagonist back at square one. we know luffy has the vivrecard card, but it won't be that easy to get back to the archipalego. i'm quite anxious at how this will be developed, because i'm sure most people want to see the crew back together yesterday, but if oda wants to keep the impact, this has to take some time. how do you balance this time with the readers getting tired of waiting for the SH crew to get back together? man oh man, things to come will definitely be interesting. Hopefully, they won't be forced.
We still need to learn about all the other crew members. Will Oda give us a chapter that just features all of them for 1 page each. I mean, Oda can tell us stories using the cover that don't even include text. I'm pretty confident he could dedicate one page per SH to give us info on what they're up to.
Now that I've had time to digest all that has happened and the crews' separation, I'm actually quite excited at the development. I was against the idea of a "training" arc, but what better opportunity than this to have the crew not necessarily "train", but to have them gain more experience as individuals, and about the One Piece world. "Knowledge is power!"
Regarding the chapter itself. Not much to say, since I can only interpret and guess from the images right now. In all honesty, the chapter itself seems slow, but hopefully a translation will give me a different impression.
-
With the crew separated this leaves room for lots of development. To see what they'll do by themselves and to see how much they are willing to do to get back together.
With the vivrecard(wtf was it called again?) does it lead you straight to the owner or does it direct you from piece to piece and then towards the owner?
If this was gonna happen then we'll get the crew back in no time. My guess, within 3 days. 4days if Oda wants to have the foreshadowing of death to a newly completed crew.
-
Wow. Here I am, hoping to get a release some time around midnight and come to find out, it's out twelve hours before that. Sweet!
Little unhappy that we don't get a cut to some other characters and learn a little about the plot but I guess Oda wants to keep us guessing. He'll reveal all when we least expect it.
Happiness that we get to see where they went! Well, Luffy at least. I thought that paw print in the ground was very cool and a nice touch. Gives a little more insight to Kuma's ability. As for the amazons: Finally! No more generic women! Yay Oda, for trying new stuff!
Also, scary princess is scary, Duval can be useful, I think CP9 are going to take over that island and I am going to say everyone ended up by themselves.
Also, anyone else notice Luffy left a perfect print of himself in the cliffside. Thank you, Looney Tunes.
-
Anyone else notice that Rayleigh is confirmed as the correct translation? Look closely at the piece of Vivre Card when Luffy is holding it. Rayleigh is clearly written in English.
Overall, decent chapter. I like how Kuma's paw power cushioned Luffy's landing, and Shaulia looked PISSED. This woman may be a new crew member, or maybe not. I'm pretty sure she can fight considering her size and the fact she's in a warrior tribe. Of course, Sanji's head is going to explode when he sees her.
-
@Kuso:

Biblicards lead directly to the owner: all you need is a glass of water and it will point to them like a needle in a compass points to magnetic north.
I sort of do wonder though this: with Luffy owning the only biblicard that can take him to Rayleigh, how will the other eight get to where they're going? But hey…all I want to know is if Oda will keep going with the amazon village or move to another SH post-pawed.
-
Hmm I believe someone on the spoiler thread said something about the SHs not being able to survive a fall from the atmosphere. Well, I didn't exactly predict a paw print, but I knew we didn't need to worry too much about the SHs surviving a fall.
Edit=> @ Tokoro Ataru
No no I re-read the chapter right before Rayleigh left after Camie's rescue. He gave each of them a Biblecard.
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/507/12/At least i think he gave all of them one.

he isn't the only one with a vivrecard http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/507/12/
and since Luffy isn't seen holding it here the whole crew might each have their own

Go back and reread chapter 507. It shows Zoro Nami and Robin looking at Vivre Cards. It does not show Luffy or the others with it. But with this current chapter showing that Luffy has one, indicates that they broke it up into 9 pieces for everyone to have one.
Just incase they get sepperated I'm sure. ANd guess what, they did.
Curous in if we are gonna only see Luffy's adventure, or if next week we see someone or two other poeple or something. Since Luffy is out cold for a bit at moment could show others for a sec

All the Strawhats have a biblicard.
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/507/12/edit: AW crap!! You guys are fast.
-
Knowing zoro he lost his on the flight. His sense of misdirection won't let a mere plot device stop it.
anyone else suspect amazon island may already be in the new world? I know it;s not likely, but I would love to see snaji's face if he skipped mermaid island And didn't land on amazon island.
-
Its already been 3 days correct? Perhaps we can get a glimpse of what each SH is going through next chapter. Then at the same time Rayleigh is gonna come and look for them all with Sunny!
Or I do you guys one better, Duval will come and find them himself! He is an expert at finding people, perhaps with a little help from Ray we can get the SHs back in no time.
-
@Capt:
Knowing Zoro he lost his on the flight. His sense of misdirection won't let a mere plot device stop it.
lol. That would be pretty funny. If we find out later on down the road that Zoro was supposed to go to a different island, and Kuma is confused why it didn't work or something…and Sanji blaming Zoro.
