Oda's INSPIRATION for One Piece

Wow, I think Trockadero was had pretty big influence on the creation of Mr. 2 (Bon Clay) lol. I never even thought about this connection until my mom mentioned it to me but….... when you think about it, it sort of makes sense. At the very least, I think it's where Oda got the idea of a male ballet dancer in a female costume (well the pointe shoes and the headpiece at least).

Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo is a ballet company consisting of all men, but they perform all original ballets, with men playing female parts.... ^_^;; It is rather strange, but at the same time very amusing, and they are really good lol. (If anyone's interested :lol: here's the site: Trocadero)

Every time I looked at Mr. 2, his arms (the shape) and his headpiece reminded me of Swan lake…... But I somehow didn't make the connection between One Piece and The Trocks lol.

:lol: Nice once, lukia!!!!! I've seen them perform once, and it was very good, but I didn't even notice.

I donÂ´t know, but I always had the impression that Sanji is somehow the funny answer to James Bond. They both try to get every woman, they both wear suitÂ´s and they both are involved in secret missions. Just a thought. :D

Resemblances like the one between Hina and….whoever it was the Daryl Hannah played are pure coincidence. But it is pretty neat that they make the same facial expressions.

I really wonder about the Gaimon thing, though. As much as I like Mr. T, I've never noticed that. Maybe that inspired his English voice, as well.

I donÂ´t think that thereÂ´s a problem with seeing Pauley in him. But ever since I saw the Hugo Boss model pic it just is tough for me to see anyone else as Pauley then him. But then again thatÂ´s just me.

And I have no doubts that Polnereff was the inspiration for Doflamingo. Especially that first pic in Buccaneers post with the strong chin looks exactly like the Shichibukai.

I found it a bit interesting that Popeye is 34, like Franky. Though, Franky's gotta be at least 5 inches taller and 100 lbs. heavier, so that doesn't really mean anything….

Very possible, as Oda is a huge fan of Tarantino. There's speculation that Baroque Works was based off of Resevoir Dogs.

A week ago, I saw a movie named something with river, it got 3 oscars and Brad Pitt is in it. The role that Brad Pitt plays in the movie is named Paul, nicknamed Pauley, and he was gambleling obsessed wich led to his downfall.. But he was a also a good fly fisher, the way he fished somehow remined me of OP Pauleys rope action.
