I said people of America. The People. "People Wise"
Worst movie ever?(both coming soon and already made films)
-
-
Erm….people make the place what it is.
And crappy people are everywhere. In fact they seem to swarm in hives around me.
-
Anything with chuck norris in it is usually one of the worst movies ever made. There's only one reason you watch it and that's because of his excellent karate skills
-
They shot almost four hundred hours of film while making Borat; odds are pretty good that most of what we see in the film are mainly the absolute worst people that were still willing to sign consent agreements. Those people tend to be much funnier in this sort of situation than people who go along the joke.
Sure, they may well have met worse people that wouldn't sign anything because they knew what colossal jackasses they had to seem like, but there were bound to be far, far more people who were fairly nice to him, but still didn't embarass themselves completely. Look at the supermarket manager in the deleted scene for instance, that guy had nigh infinite patience with him.
The problem is that the pacing of that particular sequence didn't fit, in any way, with the film itself, so it didn't make it. How long is Borat… ninety minutes? Then we have about thirty minutes of deleted scenes. That's about two percent of the total footage shot, so the people that we saw are in no way representative of the American people as a whole.
-
Happy Feet. Oh god, Happy Feet.
-
Happy Feet. Oh god, Happy Feet.
That wasn't THAT bad. I'm a little surprised it won the Oscar instead of Cars, but it wasn't THAT bad.
While I still think that the fight scene in Undefeatable is the worst moment in any movie ever (check the first page for my YouTube link), my least favorite movie ever is Master of Disguise. Don't watch that ****. Ever. At least Manos the Hands of Fate, Plan 9 From Outer Space, The Big Hit, and You Got Served are good in that so-bad-it's-hilarious kind of way; Master of Disguise isn't.
-
Happy Feet. Oh god, Happy Feet.
Please elaborate. I didn't like HF either, but it's light years apart from the drivel that belongs in this topic.
On the other hand, it's worth it just to see a rodeo crowd cheering his message that "[The people of Kazakhstan] hope that your Warlord Bush will drink the blood of every man, woman, and child in Iraq!"
That, the interview with the feminazis, and the initial travel sequence were the only real pluses to the whole movie; the rodeo was still offensive, though, not to me maybe but likely to the southerners who were clearly "caught in the moment with their pants down". Borat didn't need to rub that screw up into the people's faces; a staged act emulating the same situation would have equally been as funny.
I actually felt a bit sympathetic for the rodeo audience, knowing that the whole world now probably thinks those people are racist bigots. For all I know they could be, but still, that's wasn't the best way for people to find out.
Examining their type of elected political leader is a lot less crude.
-
The funniest thing about eople talking about the film, to me, is reactions to the rodeo scene. I actually live very close to the town where that happened.
But you're all getting off subject so shut up.
-
Yeah! America is so crappy what with its low utility costs, opportunity for advancement in the workplace for both sexes, it being a cultural melting pot with all kinds of people from all over the world living and working together
I think with Borat, they were casting a light on a how much of our society has a thin veneer of equal-opportunity laws and public tolerance over shockingly non-progressive attitudes.
with it's awesome variety of food that's not only delicious but also cheap,
But surprisingly little of it comes from hyper-advanced vending machines. :/ Also, I think visiting Arby's once would be enough to send you paddling cartoon-style back across the Pacific :)
a school system that doesn't require parents to choose a course for their children that will literally lead the child directly into a college and should they fail the college entrance exam ruin their life (don't you just HATE not having that opportunity!)
Honestly, I bet American teachers would be THRILLED if they got even THAT much involvement from parents. Instead, we have a system where about the only reason many parents would even consider investingating how the kid's doing is if he might get cut from the sports team.
Also, maybe if kids grew up feeling that way about college entrance exams, they'd APPLY themselves in school. (admittedly, this comes from someone who scored well enough to get a free or nearly free schooling virtually anywhere he wanted)
, not to mention people that actually think for themselves, and of course rolling open fields for playing soccer or goofing around that aren't just dirt patches or rice fields.
"open fields." That sounds like those stupid green rooms without ethernet OR power plugs they put between the regular rooms.
-
I think with Borat, they were casting a light on a how much of our society has a thin veneer of equal-opportunity laws and public tolerance over shockingly non-progressive attitudes.
Except, that's exactly what Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart do on a daily basis, though they cater to a much more intelligent crowd and aren't as offensive. Having a lot of people say their "eyes have been opened" to that kind of satire through something crude and lowbrow like Borat just underlines how fudging stupid people like those seen in the movie really are.
-
Somebody put the harry potter films on here? I dont quite get that vote. The movies were pretty well done.
-
I thought they're pretty good flicks too and I'm not even on the whole, "But Harry Potter can be enjoyed by any age." bandwagon.
-
It actually can, I am 24 and I enjoy the books and the movies. I was skeptical at first but my ex got me into it and it was pretty entertaining.
Killer Clowns from Space was a decent movie. It wasnt good but it was nowhere the worst movie ever. I enjoyed that movie as a kid.
-
Hands down, the winner is Dirty Love.
-
By far the worst movies ever made are the Leprechaun movies, especially Leprechaun in the Hood. Here are a few good (IQ lowering) videos:
Awesome Death #1:
Some great acting:
Awesome Death #2:
Leprechaun rap…......
If these don't convince you guys then props to you for seeing an even worse movie.
-
Anything that Uwe Boll has directed, namely House of the Dead. It wasn't even taken place in a house, it was on an island!
Also I'm calling it right now, Aqua Team Hunger Force Colon Movie.
-
No way man. I'm not going to let No Holds Barred get this kind of treatment.
Three words
Santa with muscles
-
Anyone mention
BATTLEFIELD EARTH yet?
I saw it in theatres, my god, so atrocious.
-
…Isn't that the Scientoligist Movie starring John Travolta?
Anyone mention Disney Movie sequels? With the exception of Beauty and the Beast sequel, they all suck. At least there isnt a Dumbo 2. Though Im still waiting for Song of the South 2: Uncle Remus Returns.
-
Oh great Zombie Jesus…those Disney sequels shouldn't even be mentioned, I always thought that Cinderella 2 was the lowest of the low (WTF! Evil stepmother is ALSO a fairy! Magic wand included!).
I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Halle Berry's Catwoman...or am I the only one who had to sit through that drivel?
-
@Manzana:

When I saw the promo stills of that movie, I prefered to skip it. But then I watched it last weekend on TV… >_> Why Halle Bery accepted to wear that crap?
Also, more bomb to come: I heard that the producers of Ghost Rider are thinking in turn She-Hulk in a motion picture, with Eva Mendes in the main role.

I was set on never watching Catwomen, but lo and behold I'm too nice when it comes to keeping friends company, seriously, it's just…no, it's not one of those "it's so bad it's good thing", this emarrasses you!
She-Hulk?? GTFO! The whole 'superhero movies make millions' scheme stopped working after Hulk and Catwoman
-
Lady in water…horrible and pointless nuff said
Titanic...everyone seemed to like it but it was to depressing for me
A walk to remember...same as titanic too depressing i mean what the hell...thats to sad
why watch movies that make you depressed? i didnt like either of them if you end a movie all depressed then that sucks
Battlefield earth has a movie? i absoulutly loved that book but if the movie sucked then that well...sucks

I havent seen the sequel but that sounds more like Cinderella III:twist in time?
Also I only seen the trailer for Little mermaid 3,but I know like other disney sequels.. it wont do good.
-
Maybe not the worst ever, but it was still awful. Most Disney Channel original movies are swill, too.
-

O_o…Little Mermaid 3? Man, nothing like raping childhood memroes to make Disney's CEOs day complete!
Also...pretty much every Eddie Murphy is crap from the get go, and I mean all the recent ones (no I wont count Shrek).
-
…what the hell.Little Mermaid 3? As if the 2nd one wasnt bad enough. Actually I liked the Aladdin sequels.
Electra sucked hard. Ghost Rider was a horrible script with good visuals (that horse lighting on fire was great)
Oh a Christmas Story sucks hard. One of the worst Christmas Movies ever.
-
Your face is one of the worst Christmas movies ever.
-
People who hate A Christmas Story should have their civil liberties revoked.
-
I first saw A Christmas Story in seventh grade. A great family film, know some people who watch it every Christmas. Loved that line "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine."
But I do think that all these Disney direct-to-video sequels look bad something feirce. I guess when you can't make good movies anymore you make sequels to the ones that were good…As well as the no-so-good ones.
-
…am I the only person who hates that movie? Everyone said it is the best Christmas movie since Rudolph so I put it on and was disgusted.
Of course thats just me.
-
Four words for you:
"Are we there yet?"

….
what the hell is wrong with you?
-
…I hated the Star Wars holiday special. That made Manos look like Back to the Future.
And I loved all of those other Specials you think I "hate"
It's an opinion. Just because I dont like a movie I am declared "not normal?" That's messed up.
-
There is a difference between saying a movie is bad, and not liking it.
A movie that is bad might insult your intelligence, have bad acting, be poorly scripted, or just have the must stupidest concept ever concived pulled off in a pathectic manner.
A movie you don't like just might not speak to you.
We are talking about the former.
-
I know I could find worse, but these haven't been mentioned yet.
Captain America
To be honest, it was my favorite as a five year old and I even learned how to do backflips because I liked it so much. But well, man, what the fuck.Black Rage
Not even "so bad it's funny." Just stressful.Dunyayi Kurtaran Adam
"Turkish Star Wars." Yes, I have seen the whole thing, and even understood some of it. Twenty-five years ago without the shitty subtitles it would have only been at Kazam level, but now it's basically vomit on film. Also see: "Turkish Superman."Batman & Robin
Stay COOOOOOOOL and just CHIIIIIILLLLLLDaredevil
No, I haven't seen it, and it doesn't look worse than the Cap one, but I'm sure it is. If only because it had the nerve to stick A-list douchebags on and strut itself around in theaters.Dude, Where's My Car?
So Freddy Got Fingered was mind numbingly stupid, but at least I could laugh a bit as a preteen. This….eh.Honorable Mention:
Silent Night Deadly Night 2. Haven't seen the whole thing, and I won't lie: I do want to. But goddamn. -
Okay. To some the movie is perfection. To me it is crap. Is it in my bottom 30? Probably. Is it better then the movies MST3K blasts? Hell Yes.
-
I thought this was a great trailer:
You'll have to log in to youtube to see it, because it's been flagged (for violence and language I guess) - I once saw a censored trailer, but I can't find it anymore.I'm pretty sure it isn't taking itself seriously though, but I haven't seen the actual movie. I've read different things, so I dunno.
-
Honorable Mention:
Silent Night Deadly Night 2. Haven't seen the whole thing, and I won't lie: I do want to. But goddamn.Holy crap, the acting performances.
ACTORS STUDIO here they come
-
Damn man that scene was awesome XDDD
GARBAGE DAY!! shoots you
-
Anybody remembered when american ninja was awesome?
-
Oh thanks Bucc, you reminded me of Dude Where's My Car.
This is literally one of the least funny things I've ever watched that everyone else swears is hilarious. I remember my brother was like "Hey Carter, Dude Where's My Car is on HBO, it's hilarious and you should watch it!"
I watched the whole thing and I hate myself for it.
-
After being forced to watch "Series of Unfortunate Events", I swore eternal vengence against Jim Carrey. Oh, and Snow Dogs was just a mess too.
-
WARNING: Dead Or Alive, the film, exists, and is not a joke. It would seem like it the way "old meat" Jamie Pressly manages to even disgrace her name, but I know it's not a joke because it doesn't even try to compare to Schindler's List in humor. Or in martial arts choreography.
Sarah Carter and Natassia Malthe are brutally hot, but could not get me though half an hour.
-
@Anime:
Oh a Christmas Story sucks hard. One of the worst Christmas Movies ever.
Wait a minute…you're talking about THE Christmas Story, the "You'll shoot your Eye out" movie? Blasphemy of the worst kind. That movie is classic. I've watched it every Christmas for as many years as I can remember.
Edit: Sorry I just finished the thread and realized that was already beating a dead horse. XDWorst movie I ever saw...I've seen so many cheesy B movies I feel almost like they don't count.
Night of the Lepus, Frogs, Plan Nine From Outer Space...And I can't forget Super Mario Bros. the movie. -
And I can't forget Super Mario Bros. the movie.
Yessss, this wins for failing. I watched the whole thing and couldn't ever figure out why the hell Bowser was… human...
"Veggible??" -
Taboo, you've brought back some bad memories of that horrid film.
Of course, every video game adapted movie is nothing but crap. (Except for the first Mortal Kombat movie, I actually kinda liked that.)
-
Epic movie, I thought it was going to be a great movie from seeing all the commericals and stuff. But, it just wasn't that funny. I mean it was funny but it just didn't make me laugh.
-
Yessss, this wins for failing. I watched the whole thing and couldn't ever figure out why the hell Bowser was… human...
Hey, don't knock Super Mario Bros! That movie gave us such memorable quotes as, "BOB-OMBBBBBBBBBBBBBB!!!!!!"
Anyway, I could compile a list but the ones I can think of off hand are Open Water, Terror Toons, and the aforementioned Star Wars Holiday Special. The only thing redeeming about that shitfest was the trippy cartoon in the middle of it and the awesome breaking news commercials about the Soviet Union.
Oh, and also Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.
