@Archtyrant:
Yeah, forget it abZ, i know its hard to, but just let it go. We all already know who the winner is for this one. This is what we chinese call "singing a tune to the cow". Tell me which cow ever listens to music? Similarly, there's no convincing someone of a different frequency.
You haven't won anything all the facts point to them being equal, when you put some facts in your post I may take you seriously. This is what we over in the west call "talking to a wall". Tell me can a wall hear you? Theres no convincing something that can't hear the facts.
Fine guys they're equal, there's NO POSSIBLE WAY that Luffy's and Zoro's strength is even marginally, even to the ninth decimal place, different from one another. Every second of their life, their muscles are able to pump blood and regenerate each muscle cell AT THE EXACT SAME RATE.
See you are comparing a comic to real life, in life you don't have a number asigned to your strength. Anyone with the will power can become the best, you just have to want it bad enough, dedicating your life to the cause.
In manga a character is only what the author wants him to be, if he gives them both 6 they are equal. You can guess "Well yeah luffy might be stronger" but that is speculation.
P.S. I would agree that Luffy and Zoro cannot defeat one another (or take an insane amount of time to do so if one does beat the other), but saying that their strength is EXACTLY equal…
We have to go by what the author says.
If Oda didn't have the whiskey peak fight and the equal strength in the data book, you think I'd call them equal? I'm only using facts if there were no stats and no whiskey peak and constant hints pointing to them being equal. I would also have my own theory, but since there are facts that won't be neccessary.
Lol yeah the translators decided to come up with something like that themselves. They were thinking "hmm Luffy is stronger than Zoro so I must add that part in for the world to read."
Maybe they like to twist the truth and use home made theories like certain other people.
