At first when Kaido mentioned "that brat" with CoC I thought he was referring to Ace. It could be he was referring to Kidd. Kaido seems to be able to see or sense the will of people like other strong fighters have been able to do. I'm interested in finding out who the silhouette is. It's likely to be one of the powerful samurai but I got the feeling the silhouette recognised Luffy. Robin's face haha! And I'm still waiting for Apoo to make a spectacular entrance! That him playing the banjo at the end? lol

Wonder if that shot by Luffy will at least hurt Kaido a little. At this stage Luffy is in between Yonko 1st Commander - Yonko level of strength and he is officially the fifth "Emperor". Then again Kaido did face plant off a fucking Sky Island without a scratch. For all those that were thinking what was behind the logic of Kaido appearing out of nowhere in dragon form, there is no logic for a drunk man lol though of course the real reason is he's after Luffy and Law. Surely some big name player will arrive shortly to break this fight up because the way it's looking Kaido is about to smoke Luffy. Either that or another one of Oda's hilarious twists, he loves trolling us.

I think Oda has been planning this arc for a long time and couldn't wait to get to it. It has started really well, reminds me of One Piece in its prime. Still early days though.

Decent chapter, hope Oda paces this arc well. The beginning of this arc reminds me of Skypiea when the crew landed on Angel Beach.

Despite the "Worst Generation" being portrayed as rivals to Luffy it could just end up that each one of them (except Blackbeard) will end up allying with Luffy to help him to the throne. This is what Mihawk said was Luffy's greatest strength, the ability to attract new allies. So far Law and Capone have helped Luffy and visa versa, yet Luffy keeps stealing the spotlight. The main reason both Law and Capone allied with Luffy is because they needed his strength for their own agenda but I think Luffy's character has partly won them over. Now it's time for Hawkins. His immediate order not to tell Kaido about intruders shows he has his own agenda too but I'm willing to bet he'll become another addition to the list of Luffy's allies. Hawkins was always one of the more interesting of the Worst Generation for me, the way he uses his cards for predicting the probabilities of the future makes him more susceptible to being Luffy's ally in his battle against Kaido, because Luffy is destined for the throne as we all know.

Kaido questioning why Luffy was in Big Mom territory could hint that he's thinking Luffy was after Big Mom's poneglyph.

I thought Sanji would have a Mr Prince type plan but he just grabbed Luffy and tried to make a run for it. I guess those Mr Prince type of plans don't work against Yonko crews they're stacked with 500m+ bounties.

Decent chapter, time to wrap this arc up. I don't understand the Sanji and Pudding moment, did she request that he stop smoking? Or take his memory? Also thought that Pekom's younger brother randomly appearing was corny af. Happy with the way the fight ended with Luffy and Katakuri, nice gesture from Luffy to cover Katakuri's mouth before he left. I like it when we get to this point in an arc, the next 5-10 chapters will be solid we should get updates of what's going on elsewhere.

Great chapter, takes me back to the intense one-on-ones Luffy used to have. Katakuri is a straight up badass who hasn't been dominated after Luffy's new technique reveal like many others have been in the past. Some nice moves shown in this fight but Katakuri doesn't really seem to have been able to damage Luffy severely, but I guess once Luffy's in the mood he's in now it's a near impossibility. What a cliffhanger to end on and a break too?! Can't complain had some solid chapters the past few weeks.

So Luffy is officially Yonko 1st commander level. Zoro will probably beat Jack and boost his strength. It's the right time because Big Mom and Kaido will go down next. I like how Luffy's fight with Katakuri is more about bragging rights and a test of strength rather than the usual fight for some personal revenge and to save the day. Two elite pirates going at it, fighting for their own crews but also fighting for personal glory. Luffy is breaking barriers, Katakuri about to learn some shit now.

Big Mom has shown amazing durability but not so much in terms of attack. I want to see why she's a Yonko… of course we saw her strength in the flashback but I want Big Mom to seriously fuck shit up on a mass level. Maybe because she thinks the cake is on the Sunny and that's why she hasn't just broken the ship into pieces, because she's more than capable of that. Getting a bit tired of BM yelling "wedding cake", getting knocked back but then continuing her pursuit. It's been like this for like 10 chapters now.
