This could be a sign of Oda having future plans for the mysterious St Briss (the ship that fell from the sky). Flipping through the relevant chapters, I can't see any living characters who deserve a spot between Dr Potsun and Masira, or between Masira and Roshio. If they were random members of Masira's crew or any of the sea monsters seen underwater there'd be no reason to hold them back.But then we have the skeleton that scares Usopp and the woman in the picture Sanji looks at. Could there be a backstory to come for this pair in a later chapter?

The Five Elders, obviously. But will we finally be getting their cards perhaps sometime this year?0353

Over 100 empty spaces between the introduction of the Mimawarigumi (chapter 951) and the introduction of Oden (chapter 960). Are we sure there were 10 new characters per chapter for that stretch, or are some background characters from either the flashback or Onigashima being pulled forward?1508 - 1551
The space between Toki (chapter 964) and Ulti (chapter 978) is pretty extreme too. Even naming every single Gifter and tracking down panels for all the SBS-named Roger and Kid crewmembers from around that time feels like it would struggle to fill it.We know Oda's involvement in the databook is largely indirect and editorial, so maybe it's a stretch to guess the St. Briss corpses and Giant Squad were held back deliberately for future plans. But it's certainly interesting that they weren't done when they could have been, with the other EX-characters from their arcs...
(and did Goro just not fit on the Davy Back Fight EX-card?)
I know this is an old comment, but I just want to say that I think 0234 and 0236 are probably Willie Gallon and Jew Wall. If Louis Arnote can get an entry...

It's not him specifically, it's one of EX characters cards. Water Seven (vol. 3) Fishman Island (vol. 3) and Wano (vol. 8) - I will be dead before they make it to WCI.

@Sengokusgoat My sticking point with those two is getting a visual on them. Louis Arnott barely scrapes in with a picture of his book, but those two don't even get that much, just names mentioned in narration/speech bubbles.
But I guess finding a future reason to show both of them (or something actually representing them) onscreen is about as reasonable as giving backstory to the St. Briss.

No, there's 2. The other one will have Kuzan on the cover (there was a promo pic with Vegapunk and Kuzan) but there's no more info so far I think.
I imagine it'll have Garp, Koby, the Sword gang and maybe some of the other BB pirates. I hope we get the gorosei as well but I'm not sure about that.

I feel like the Gorosei might come later. We're defo getting cards for all of Sword and I wouldn't be surprised if we got updated cards for all the Blackbeard pirates with their devil fruits and TS-designs. Not sure where the Gorosei or Garling would fit in that pack

@Johnny-B-Decent It would be cool, but I feel Oda won't reveal bounties to avoid giving clues on the future match-ups. If we get a bounty order, we would be able to compare to the Straw Hats' order.

They're also probably growing constantly like Teach's, so he probably doesn't want to bother coming up with intermediate bounties and will reveal only their final ones when it's time for them.

Pleasantly surprised to be seeing Seraphim and Borsalino in this set. Really thought we'd be waiting for the packs for the back half of Egghead to see them.

Baffling choices. Why give each Seraphim a separate card? They barely exist as individual characters and only Snake showed a personality trait so far. Hopefully filling four cards with nearly identical information means they will add some new background info like they did with Queen.

Maybe reading too much into it, but with no new Tashigi card, I'm thinking that she and Smoker will be featured prominently in an upcoming arc.

@StrawHatJedi Maybe so. You could almost justify a Tashigi card alongside the rest of the rescue party, but Smoker has zero justification for one. Maybe they left weird going one of them without the other.

@Captain-M Yeah, I meant only Tashigi here; wouldn't expect Smoker. But Tashigi's not Sword, unlike the others, which is the more likely reason for her exclusion. But I was thinking that maybe they're holding off on a new Tashigi card for whenever Smoker's next card will be up; probably whenever he's next featured prominently.
I'm still curious about the story reason Oda chose to even send Tashigi on this mission absent Smoker. Like, sure Smoker's absence could be setting up something else coming up in the story (evidenced by the box he's hauling), but why even send Tashigi on the Sword mission?
I admit, I'm probably reading my own bias into things a bit here; I feel like maybe it's setting up Tashigi & Smoker eventually walking their own paths. Maybe Tashigi joins up with Sword while Smoker joins...

I'm also curious if we'll get another two packs of cards for the back half of Egghead. Obviously, we've got the Elders and Garling, but with the Seraphim, Satellites, Ginny, etc. already covered in the upcoming set, I dunno if we have enough yet to fill out two more packs. I hope we don't have to wait more than a year for a set featuring the Elders. It just seems like it would've been easier to fill out another two sets if they saved the Seraphim for one featuring the Elders and instead included more of the Blackbeard Pirates in this round. We might have to wait until some early Elbaf sets before we get one wrapping up Egghead. Maybe one will have Emet on the front, if not Saturn.

The Vivre Card Mini Card Archive has been updated on Wordpress and Imgur to cover the latest packs. These things are a bit of work and life got in the way of doing this one any sooner.
The latest packs add nearly 100 characters, to a total of 1021. The highest number comes from Vegapunk's card in the preview for the upcoming packs, at 1742. That means 58% of characters up to Vegapunk have been tracked in the databook so far, the same percentage as in the previous update. There's still a long way to go before it's anywhere near complete, but maybe with the next two packs we'll see it gaining some ground on the top number.

Honestly I’m hoping all the Black Beard Pirates get there bounties shown soon, I really want to know where all of them stand
I doubt it, it would allow people to powerscale them to guess who their counterparts are. I feel we will only learn their bounties near or at the matches, when the numbers reflect their peak.
Wano predictions: There will be 5 acts; All Straw Hats will get fights, some in Act 4; Big Mom Pirates will arrive; Carrot will have her moment, but won't join; Yamato will be a Kouzuki samurai and Wano's Guardian; Shanks will visit Luffy in Act 5; Next arc is Mary Geoise.

@onepiecefeats A little surprising that the Seraphim have Haki. I guess it adds to the idea of there being humanity even in clones and androids, that they would be able to manifest that kind of willpower and emotional focus. It might have been cool if they were able to keep up purely on the basis of crazy raw power and inhuman cyborg reaction speeds though.
I'm too at work right now to scan over old pages to double check if there was a hint of blackened limbs or weapons before this.

I always go off what Rayleigh said. Haki exist in every human being. I don't get why Judge or VP's clones wouldn't possess Haki or if they become strong enough, may become users as well.
Especially the way Seraphim are explained. Someone with Mihawk's DNA would get to the level of being a user.
Even Boa's clone had admiration for Luffy.
For 2 years, they are testing these clones for battle too.

I was hoping they didn't have Haki from a story telling perspective tbh. If Haki is willpower, I think it would've been more fitting for them to not have it as they lack their own freedom / will due to being cyborgs made to follow orders. Them gaining Haki could've been a good sign of them breaking free, or something.

Since the first EX characters introduced in Water Seven arc (the animals in Long Ring Long Land) were in the final Sky Island EX Characters card and the Foxy Pirates were in their own card, maybe he was forgotten at the time?

Good to see these gaps getting filled in.
It might have just been a spacing issue, having the right number of EX characters in each set to fill out a card with no empty spaces, so they moved a character or two up or down a set.
