I thought I was like 13 chapters back, but it was over 20 and found out there's only 2 chapters left. That was a quick read. By the time I got to 415, I questioned how could this fight last so much longer, but its just prologue material.
My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
-
-
Damn, this series hates queer women.
-
Legit touching chapter, enjoyed it a lot.
Criminal that suit!Ashido is exactly the one covered by that stamp in the color spread, though.
-
Bedroom eyes Mineta should be a visual crime.
-
One chapter left.
4 girls in dresses, 2 in suits. You know what that means?
IS Deku asserting that the embers will keep on as long as people believe in him? -

IS Deku asserting that the embers will keep on as long as people believe in him?I guess? All Might could still temporarily transform after losing his embers (Izuku noted that All Might being Quirkless allowed OFA to settle better), so it might be that Izuku can tap on at least the strength aspect of it (since he's not terminally ill).

(Ahaha, I wish this fucking comic wasn't queerphobic as fuck)

Fantastic color spread. One of my favorites of the entire series.
I love citizens learning to be more proactive! That was a major flaw in that society. The twist with the kid being helped instead of becoming a villain was excellent. But, damn, his family is crazy. I hope they arrest the lot of them.
Interesting that All Might's eyes are becoming "normal". Does that mean he no longer has access to OFA?
With the Mysterious Boy subplot resolved, Horikoshi can do anything he wants for the final chapter. Time skip? Open-ended ending? Confirmed romantic relationships? Setup for a future sequel? I'm really excited how this will end.
Still no Deku's dad…
-
I'm confused. Who's the kid?

Just some kid with a potentially dangerous quirk who was horribly abused by his family. I think the idea is that, under different circumstances, he could have become the next Shigaraki. But since Deku has inspired the world to change for the better, he'll know get the love and nurturing he needs to live a good life.
-
@King-Cannon A couple of weeks ago, I think while we were still at the fight, I speculated that by all that was revealed he should kept the super strength.
-
Here's hoping for a My Hero Vigilantes anime or manga continuation announcement soon.
-
@Nectar Would not get my hopes up.
-
Okay, maybe not soon, but these days companies refuse to let super popular manga series die. I'd be shocked if a My Hero Vigilantes anime isn't announced after the main anime ends. And My Hero Vigilantes itself could continue now that the main series is ending. At this point, it's either that or Horikoshi goes the Dragon Ball Super route and plot out future arcs for a sequel for others to draw/write.
-
I won't be surprised if vigilantes get an adaptation or if Academia gets a spinoff. Big franchises are always milked and its a simple matter of time for it to happen. Boruto is still doing financially well for its target market despite its dogwater everything qualities so if there's one thing Japan has going for it that's on par or even stronger than the west its customer retention.
-
@Nectar Hey he's still young. He might make another manga, one that for optimal plotting will have 2 popularity polls per year.
-
How do you think the series will end, in general? Expecting a time skip or open-ended ending? Or everything wrapped up in a they-all-lived-happily-ever-after way?
-
@Nectar
I'm half imagining a Naruto ending half not expecting anything and still thinking I'll be disappointed by it because that my current police regarding Hori. -

One thing I admire Horikoshi for doing is not following the "time skip" route that seemed to be a forced course for shonen manga to go at that point.
So now I am hoping he might also resist the other seemingly forced course of action of showing every kid marrying a friend from their teenage years and having their own kids at the same age. -

This is My Hero Academia after all, so I expect that to be the focus of the ending.

This is a constant with Shonen sadly. Stop! Hibari-kun tried to break the mold but sadly there has been nothing like it ever again.
-
@King-Cannon
My Hero Internship, My Hero Apprentice, My Hero Teenage Soldier all more apt than Academia. -
i think it'll just be a graduation and ends with a final group photo with enough panels before to give you an idea of where they are going in life.

It had it's flaws, but I'll always love just how much Hibari was depicted as utterly trolling everyone who tried to misgender her.

Raws are already out.
-
Thanks for the heads-up. Gonna try to wait for the official release for this.
-

@zeltrax225 the volume epilogue will complete my prevision.
-
Well, that was a final chapter.
-
@access-timeco
Could it be it...

-
Everyone can be a hero, just like Batman and Iron Man. Just throw money at your disadvantage.
-
Good news, Attack on Titan, you have competition for "worst ending in the past 10 years".

To be fair, it wasn't Izuku's own money. It was support fom his friends.
It's actually an interesting direction that could be done in the future. Heroes investing in technology for Quirkless people.
-
There has to be a balance between "the character can do anything by himself" and "the character is granted everything", and yet MHA strongly claims the first while strictly doing the second.
-
I just love that Ochako took her regrets over Toga and turned them into preventative action,
expanding quirk counseling to help more kids not turn out that way. Feels right for her. -
It's a tame ending, but there's nothing actually wrong with it imo. It all fits and Deku get to be a hero in a more traditional sense while also inspiring a new generation forward, seems apropriate.
-
Class images un-divided.
I do like how it works as a before-and-after,
with almost everyone in the same position. -
Meanwhile, Deku's dad is still MIA.
-
I liked it.
-
Well, that was about as safe an ending as it gets. Truth be told, I really haven't been that invested in this series at least since the end of the School Festival arc, so it's not like I was expecting much. But the ending is fine enough.
-
@Nectar I believe GeL Inc (as read on the building) is for Ge(ntle) and L(a Brava.)
