The Frist DLC called "Whole Cake Island Pack".
Assuming that we get a Wano pack, who do you think that we're going to get? (seeing as he had a silhouette in the base game, I figure that Oden's pretty likely)
Mmm, well they could easily implement human/hybrid Drake without stepping on his NPC version's toes since "axe-wielding half-dinosaur character" writes itself. Kanjuuro would be pretty simple to write a moveset for, then I dunno, perhaps Kiku, Raizo, or Oden in the "inventing stuff from whole cloth" department.

it's not a surprise since the datamining of the game, and it still feels silly to have ALL the Vinsmokes playable with the SAME playstyle and few variations on attacks and abilities, but I'm glad is over.
Do we know if we are gonna be getting some new mission packs or anything?
Judge still feels like an odd inclusion. Especially considering the cut chars.

since they are calling the DLC "Character Packs", is it sane to assume that no more content is going to be delivered? I was really hoping for some new missions, skins or content in order to revitalize the game's life.
For real, though, Judge's playstyle is probably gonna be pretty different to the other Vinsmoke's.
I'm excited for future character packs, though, if they're going by arc.
I could see them bringing back Moria, Perona, and Kuma in a Thriller Bark pack.
Kuro, Krieg, and Arlong in an East Blue Pack; Enel, Magellan and Caesar Clown in a 'villains pack'. A lot of potential if they're going by character packs.
Honestly they probably should have Judge be the playable character to begin with and have the kids come in to assist. And Reiju since she's popular. Maybe have the three boys be a single character too. But all of them is ridiculous.
Charlotte Smoothie
Smoothie's gameplay looks really fun.
Smoothie plays like a bigger version of Jimbei with good AoE? But then again, they don't have anything else to base her playstyle on.
I'll probably be sitting this one out or at least wait till the DLC price drops. Not too keen on the presented characters.

So, we have the WCI Pack. I'd say the next one is a Wano Pack, of Kin'emon, Apoo and Queen. And the last one being a Grand Line villains pack of Kuma, Moria and Enel?
Judge was definitely a choice. Does anyone even like him? I mean, I know the Vinsmoke family have a lot of fans, but that love seems to aim only the young ones.
Replace him with Perospero and that would have been the perfect pack for me.

The latest poll is somewhere up on the wiki, but I recall him placing super-low.
So, yeah, they're just adding him to have all the Vinsmokes, because Koei wants that.

i loved one OP4 on switch. i've played all the games alot, but something about being able to play anywhere in my house feels much better tha nbeing stuck to my room like with the last few games.

Any characters from Wano onwards would have been welcome additions as DLC, but Bamco don't have any excuse for releasing more WC characters, Whole Cake was supposed to be the emphasis of this game to begin with….
At the time the game was released, yeah maybe Smoothie, Judge and Cracker would have made sense, but 2 years after the arc ended, it's not interesting. They could have used these characters to flesh out the story mode.
Honestly I'm fine with Smoothie and Cracker. Judge I care as little as the rest of the Vinsmokes who I feel like are taking slots away from characters. (Reiju is fine I guess)
I feel like Huey, Dewie and Louie could have been merged into one character, who can swap out with the taunt button or something.
Cracker is the good choice, Smoothie feels like the meme choice, while Judge is the "Why?" choice.
Though in fairness Judge will play differently from his children by necessity.

Judge also looking to be very fun to play as.

uuuuh, so they are putting Drake's model to good use.
We also had Sengoku's model available at the Gallery section, which could be pretty telling..maybe a Marine themed DLC? Drake, Sengoku, Garp…? Z? doesn't seem likeable...they shall be gunning for the Supernovas or a Wano themed one rn. Kinemon, Jack, Queen, maybe a Scabard are fair game, imo. The last patch might be an Onigashima themed one (Yamato?)
As an aside note, is Drake's axe actually possible to make and wield in real life? I've never seen a design like it before.
I don't know how practical Drake's weapon would be in actual real-world medieval combat but the concept seems feasible since it's basically just an oversized flanged mace.

Make? Yeah, it's a weird design but I don't see anything that would impede it.
Would it be a good weapon? Maybe not.
Axes tend to gain "power" because of it's weight distribution. Maces also gain their strength that way, but they're not full of openings. I can't even begin to think how a 4-sided-axe weight distribution would work or how it could affect the air resistence of the swings.
Maybe the Ap forum can spam the Men at Arms youtube channel and beg for this to be their next project. 
They build funtional (i.e. actually sharpend) fictional weapons, from anime and video games, and then they actually take them for a few swings and comment on how good or bad of a weapon it can actually be.
Drake
I've always seen the 4 sided axe as more of a defensive tool. That's what he's mostly used it for anyway. We'll see what PW4 decides to do with it– offense I'm sure.

it is, sadly, strictly a character pass. no new missions, costumes, etc.
So what is the consensus on this game compared to Pirate Warriors 3? Is it an improvement? A step back? Something different?
At the time, I actually enjoyed PW3 more, dream and nightmare log was more fun than treasure log, and there was a better sense of achievement after maximizing a character. As well as the maps and missions actually being more fun, but thats just how I remember it.
I had more fun with PW3, as well. Even if the technical prowess of this game is kinda better, and allows some fun moments of utter destruction, I still feel that PW3 had more meat as a game.
oh, and dataminers are saying that Killer is the next DLC
So we might get a Wano pack disguised as a Supernova pack.
