Man, streamers are having a hard time getting Reverie, huh? Bummer. Can’t wait for the Wano episodes to be streaming. The quality is slightly better on streaming than my laptop-to-tv cast. Though bluray would be ideal, regards quality.

What are the chances the physical releases pick up speed this year?
-
@Crystalice1 its going to be slow as ever, which is why im glad they switched to digital releases
-
Amalee really has been killing it with these covers, makes me wish even more they were in the movie

First time I’ve noticed a director specifically saying actors can’t reveal themselves as voices of their character, despite the episodes being released. F*** that. (Though obv this is Toei, not Bowling.)
Eh? I didn't read that at all. Just sounds like they're leaving it up to the actors themselves to make the announcement.
-
I’m not sure how to interpret it, actually. I guess “Have they had a chance” could mean anything.
-
Ayyy Reverie episodes are up now. Given the delay I hoped for at least the first batch of Wano, but I suppose there’s always next week/2 weeks.
-
That’s good, I wish they kept things more consistent. I can’t imagine many people stream on funi nowadays. My guess is 24th or 31st for next set of wano. We WILL get 2 voyages this month
-
Y’all think we’ll get the special recap episodes in our future sets? I’d love them as a special feature, but it’ll suck if they count toward the episode count of a release.
-
They'll probably be counted as regular episodes tbh.
Has anyone tried playing the OP Odyssey demo yet? I really like it, but no dub is such a damn shame .
-
@Zephray Crunchyroll doesn't count them as part of the episode count, but they are included on the japanese blu-rays, so hard to say. I also don't want them as part of the 13 episode set count, but as special feature that would be cool, especially considering the special feature/commentary has been really lacking since the dub returned. Makes it harder to justify buying the physical release lately
-
Weird. The Reverie eps have been available on FUNi's TV app since yesterday, but they're still not available on their website.
-
@Zephray Korea has been dubbing and releasing them like normal episodes, so they probably will.
-
For those interested, Ian Sinclair is streaming OP Odyssey on Twitch
-
My wife and I just finished the Reverie episodes. Honestly, for people like her who started watching 7 years ago and haven’t revisited and episodes it was super helpful having all the flashbacks.
-
Im surprised we aint heard about new voyage yet
-
Hasn’t it only been like two and a half weeks? Wouldn’t expect to hear anything until month’s end. I hope they keep posting preview clips, though. It’s smart for marketing and a nice treat.
It would be very cool if they kept doing two sets a month until they’re caught up. I’m so hyped for the flashback set in particular. I don’t really like most of the prison stuff that’s coming up.
-
Finished the Reverie eps. Noticed they couldn't decide on a pronunciation for Pangaea Castle.
Hearing Chris Rager redub a bunch of Marineford lines really cemented for me that all I can hear is Arlong trying to sound like Cole Brown playing Blackbeard. It's close and serviceable, but still sounds like an impersonation to my ears. I wish they had gone in a different direction like they did with Sengoku.

What pronunciations do they use, then? Surely it should be "pan-jee-uh", like the supercontinent it's named after.
-
I think its namesake also has a couple pronunciations.

Interesting. I loved his lines in Stampede. But I haven't listened to Arlong in a while, so you're probably right that it sounds too similar.
-
I miss Cole Brown so much. He played Blackbeard superbly. RIP Cole.
-
So uh…3 Wano episodes went up on Funi, yay?
Update: Just kidding, both batches are up baby!
-
I like the cover for Collection 31. I won't be surprised if Dogstorm gets the cover for Collection 32 (Since Collection 32 will finished up Zou and begins Whole Cake Island.).
-
That's a great pick for Oden. I really enjoy his work as Tuxedo Kamen in the redub of Sailor Moon as well the dub of the recent Sailor Moon stuff as well.
-
Chrollo, Spiderman, and Mumen Rider? My man has some range.
-
Robbie Daymond is AWESOME!!! Can't wait to see it
-
And Goro Akechi from Persona 5 and Tianyou Zhao from Yakuza 7.
-
WOW!!!! Robbie Daymond is an awesome addition.

It was also pronounced "pan-GAY-uh" by the narrator.
Also, and this one hurts a bit more...Koala at one point mispronounced Baltigo as "Bal-TEE-guh".
Was pleasantly surprised to see the FIRST TWO VOYAGES OF WANO appeared on FUNi's site today!!! I'm on Vacation from work this week, so I've now got roughly 25 episodes to binge through. So, so happy right now.
EDIT - Oh, one other flub from the Reverie episodes...at one point, the on-screen English text wrote out Whitebeard as "White Beard", which hasn't happened (thankfully) since that one episode title in Skypiea.
-
I was sure we would get Zunesha or Jack for Collection 31 cover, or at least Dogstorm and Catviper together, or maybe Carrot or Wanda. I'm happy with Catviper though, but expecting 32 to have Big Mom.
No special features at all is incredibly disappointing

To be frank, getting pronunciations uniform between all your actors is such a basic role of an ADR director. Really not a good look for the pronunciations to be flip flopping. And to my memory, this has always been a problem. (Probably at least partially because of there being multiple ADR directors on this show.) I notice it all the time in the dub--slight jumps between characters in how they pronounce names. This'll probably be ramped up this arc because of all the japanese names.
But, ah, so nice to see the episodes on streaming. I watched some last night on my PS5, and man the quality looks sharper than exporting my PC to my TV for the Microsoft ones. Still ridiculous that Microsoft won't let you watch your content on a phone or TV...
Speaking of the new episodes I saw, I really didn't think Toki's voice fit her at all. She sounded extremely stiff, stern, and formal, which isn't at all the character I remember. The decision for that role plays as if they didn't look into the character at all.
-
Did anyone mention that Komurasaki is credited as Molly Searcy at the end of episode 912 (and probably others)?
-
Yeah she has been for every wano ep I believe lol. mentioned it when voyage 1 released
-
As someone who almost exclusively watches the physical releases I don't keep up with the digital, what has been their release schedule these past couple years?
-
A new voyage every month or so on the Microsoft store, then 3-5 weeks later it releases on the Funimation app. Last month we got a special treat by getting the first two voyages of Wano one week after the other, and this week those same two voyages went up on Funi.
-
Man, I didn’t budget these sets well. Almost out of episodes in my usual rationing. Here’s hoping the next set is very soon.
Kaido’s actor is fantastic and has me hyped every time he’s on. Not sure he sounded quite drunk enough during those Okobore town scenes though. The Japanese VA has a lot of range.
-
I was flipping through some of the oldest episodes of One Piece on FUNI's streaming app.
In the description of the very first episode....they call him "Luffy D. Monkey".
-
@G1Ravage Well, that is how his name would be written in the West.
-
Ok everyone needs to pray to whatever higher power u believe in that a set releases next week
-

Definitely. I run out of my rationed episodes this Friday. Watching the LvK fight in dub was really fun and surreal.
-
Based on the interview Anthony Bowling had with the OPP, they might already be in the raid right? I don't watch the show in Jp, but what episode does that officially start?
I'm also curious how now having 3 directors will impact whether or not they catch up this year.
-
The raid starts at 971.
-
Just finished Wano Act 1. Was very pleasantly surprised to see that Mike McFarland directed the vast majority of these episodes!
I was tickled pink by the sprinkling of "shit" throughout the second set of episodes. Appropriately, only spoken by characters like Kaido and Shutenmaru, where it's very in-character.
My favorite was Shutenmaru turning down Jack's offer to join the Beast Pirates, leaping at him in anger, sword drawn, and screaming, "In that case...I only have one thing left to say.... EAT SHIIIIIIIIIITTTT!!!!!!!"
-
Man, was really depending on this week. Damn, first time misrationing and being out of episodes, lol. Guess they’re getting more unpredictable since they’re trying to catch up. I’m kind of expecting another two-set drop.
