Dammit that's two authors in a row. Someone warn the publishing houses.
Think the Onion beat you to that joke by a few years.

Shock G, MC for the Digital Underground and one of the wildest figures in west coast hip-hop, has died for some reason at the age of 57.
RIP Jim Steinman, the writer/composer/producer that created some of my all time favorite songs and albums, many of the songs 10 minutes long and epic in scope.
I may not care about sex, drugs, and rock and roll, but he delivered. Best known for Meatloaf's Bat out of Hell albums, and some of Bonnie Tyler's biggest hits (notably Holding out for a Hero, and Turn Around Bright Eyes ) the man was super talented, though he hadn't made much new in the last 25 or 30 years, mostly songs he wrote decades ago kept getting repurposed in new forms.
.
I have to put a songs here but I don't know what to pick, so many greats. So I'll go with this one that I didn't even know was Steinman until today… but it makes perfect sense. And might be better for this forum than something like Paradise By the Dashboard Light.
Damn. I love the first two Bat Out of Hell albums (never listened to the third). I mean, how many people can take a song with a title like this and make it legitimately great?
R.I.P. Jim
I know she is probably an stranger to most people here but Toni Rodriguez, terrific dubbing actress and human being has left us.
…isnt that song Total Eclipse Of The Heart? Robby?

Damn, BOTH of them in the same day? I had just looked up Eric Carle not too long ago and was surprised he was still alive. I still remember reading Very Hungry Caterpillar in school and the teachers having to go great lengths to tell us no butterflies don't come out of cocoons
@Don:

Wasn't watching Music Collection commercials/informericals in the 90's?
A real shame about B. J. since I have always had a huge soft spot for Hooked on a Feeling and only his original version.
Sounds like he had a tough life yet always knew what love is all about.
RIP
