Big Mom presence in Wano was totally planned from the beginning of the Whole Cake arc. Its pretty clear. I love her presence in Wano.
how can you say pretty clear that Big Mom will play part in Wano Arc?

I usually dislike YouTubers in general, but this video is worth it.
It was posted after chapter 900 (when the Sunny was supposedly destroyed). Back then nobody considered the possibility of Linlin going to Wano, the fanbase was divided between those who believed her plotline would be interrupted at the of WCI and then resumed at Elbaf - when Luffy would take her down -, and those who believed she would be defeated by a third party (Teach or the Marine) that would invade WCI in the wake of the chaos left by Luffy.
He does a very good point showing how both her and Kaido plotlines had been presented and developed side by side since Thriller Bark and would both be concluded at the same time in Wano:

While he was on point about Big Mom going to Wano, I'm still not sold on her plotline being finished there, considering all her connections to Elbaf. I mean, how is her thing gonna be wrapped up to begin with? Mr. Morj's take is Luffy defeating Big Mom during the arc, and then Kaido in the end, but that honestly would be quite odd to have a Yonko be a mid-boss (and we're probably past the point where that makes sense in the structure of the arc). If there are so many connections between them and they even have similar portrayals as indestructible monsters, if they go down the same arc, I can only see them go down together in the same fight, in some kind of those two vs literally everyone fight or something. But that would also be odd because this is supposed to be Kaido's arc. Why would Big Mom get to be a main antagonist here when she already had an arc all to herself? But then again, Big Mom going to Wano, then leaving midway to go to Elbaf for whatever reason and being a main antagonist there would also be really odd.
It's hard to make sense of this situation right now, but I think all this parallels might be because of the connection we already know they have (namely that they were part of the same crew). Maybe what this is all leading to is to them deciding to get the old gang back together and ROCKS (Whatever that is) will act as the main antagonist/s until it's time for Shanks/Blackbeard/WG. Perhaps Big Mom's reference to 'getting along like in the old days' and Garp's comment that 'it'd be impossible for us to do anything if they came back' in chapter 907 were all foreshadowing.

Yes thats exactly what i always said too. I would also add the 'Reverie' storyline to that. All these storylines are finally colliding in this Wano-Reverie arc.
I think the arc might end on volume 100.
He's averaged 10-11 ch for the last 10 volumes. That would make it at least 70 chapters, plus the 42 ch that we're already in, before the arc ends. Around chapters 1020-1030 possibly.
If Act 2 ends in the next 1-2 chapters, and we will really get 5 acts, with the fifth being an epilogue,it can really ends on volume 100. It seems every act lasts around 3 volumes (but not full volumes).
Act 1 was:

Act 2 would be:- Half of vol. 92
- All vol.93
- Half of vol 94
We'll see
Act 2 is already all of volume 94. Next chapter's probably the last one in that book.
It's also already 10 chapters longer than Act 1, so they're clearly not balanced. Act 5 will probably be the ending wrap-up, so that one won't be very long. It's Act 2, 3 and 4 that are going to be the bulk of the arc. Which makes sense since that's the HA portion of Kabuki plays.
Act 2 is already all of volume 94. Next chapter's probably the last one in that book.
I am not sure about that,by the way if Act 2 ends in the next two chapters we would still be in this structure
I've been thinking lately about the differences between the Tottoland and Wano storylines and what one of those differences could mean for the future of Wano.
Tottoland was, to an overwhelming degree, a story about enemies. Big Mom has 84 children, all of which are raised to be part of her crew. Oda didn't pick that number for hyperbole either. Though some were only named in material outside the manga such as One Piece Magazine, all 84 have concrete appearances and the overwhelming majority of them made at least one appearance in a canon comic panel. And that's before we start counting non-family member allies, or even the Vinsmokes, who were a clearly antagonistic force for most of the arc. In fact, there were so many enemies that Tottoland has become one of very, very few One Piece territories with no established civilian characters. We saw glimpses of the general population, sure, but none were named or established. None were befriended. Everyone the crew fought alongside or defended during Tottoland was to some extent a turncoat from Big Mom's forces.
That sounds great for fights, right? You could bring in every established member of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet and give them a one on one clash and still have enemies to spare. But when you expect Oda to zig, he zags on you. Luffy came in shorthanded and even after being joined by the Sun Pirates, the Vinsmokes, and others, his people were still vastly outnumbered by Big Mom's crew of literally nearly one hundred named characters. Oda made the enemy force seem truly insurmountable, then made the objective to escape from them rather than defeat them outright.
Compare and contrast Wano. It seemed a safe guess beforehand that Kaido's crew would be built up the same way Big Mom's was. It made sense, after an escape arc, we would go back to a fighting one. We've been talking about directly confronting these guys since Punk Hazard. Kaido, hyped as the strongest living creature, has always felt like a greater threat than Big Mom in the grand scheme of things, so his forces would have to to be bigger and stronger than her already overwhelming ones were. But again, Oda zags on us. Kaido's crew falls far short of the size and threat level precedent set by Big Mom. Counting named members of the Beasts Pirates only, he has less than a quarter of Big Mom's children. Add in allies such as Orochi, and even assuming all of the Oniwabanshu will be named characters he doesn't get halfway there. That's not me bitching that Kaido doesn't live up to the hype, that's just the literal numbers of the matter. So what is Wano about then? Well if Tottoland was a story of enemies, Wano is a story of allies.
Where Tottoland had no named civilians or locals outside of Big Mom's crew, Wano is full of colourful local faces, many of which lean more to the Straw Hats' side than Kaido's. Tottoland gave us more enemies with interesting personalities and powers than the force Luffy brought could ever give a climactic battle to. Wano is giving us more allies than Kaido's crew (as revealed to date) could possibly supply a fight for. And even if Kaido did have enough individuals, would you really want a full chapter of a Wano samurai going one on one with Babanuki? With Gazelleman? With Holdem? Even if those guys are more of a match for the Akazaya Nine than they were for Luffy, I don't think I'd be that into it.
This is where we hit a turning point, assuming it is the destiny of the Wano arc to turn into the biggest battle of the series to date. The next few chapters will decide which one of two directions Oda chooses to take this huge imbalance of numbers and powers between Luffy's allies and enemies in Wano. For the moment, I think both options are equally likely. They depend on whether Kaido and Big Mom's fight ends in an alliance, or in each Emperor going their own way.
Option 1: If Big Mom and Kaido can't come to an agreement, there's really only one satisfying way for things to play out, and that's for Kaido to make up for the lacking strength of his underlings. There'll likely be proper fights for Orochi and the Calamities, but everyone else will be passed over or easily dispatched so that all of Luffy's allies can team up on Kaido. If he really does live up to his reputation as an individual, this will likely be an extremely desperate battle, and everyone with enough fighting power to buy even a second of time against him will have their moment in the spotlight. I think there's strong precedent in this, since the most effective moment of battle against Big Mom was when the crew of the Sunny worked together and combined their skills in interesting ways. Where the Big Mom pirates will go while Kaido is fought, it's too soon to say.
Option 2: If Big Mom and Kaido decide to work together, the different focus of the two arcs evens out. Tottoland had too many enemies to handle. Wano has too many allies. With Big Mom and Kaido's crew's combined, Oda could make sure all the most interesting individuals on each side get a fight of their own to really show their stuff in. Some measure of combined attack will likely still be required to topple either Emperor, but it will a less desperate affair if our heroes have had to fight through both enemy crews to get there. I could see Big Mom being taken down mainly by the teamwork of the alliance while Luffy does the bulk of the fighting against Kaido (with some help from the heaviest hitters on his side).
I think either of these options would be a valid and satisfying way to resolve the dense web of characters Oda's set up, and return Wano to a feeling of tension, after so many chapters of feeling the Straw Hats have had it perhaps a little too easy relative to how powerful their enemy is meant to be. But we'll see where it all goes. Trying to predict Oda is historically a fool's game. Remember, he always zags on us.
And then Oda goes with Option 3.
How many subplots do we still have to take care of before we can head to Onigashima?
1. Supplying the troops with weapons, presumably from Gyuukimaru
2. Burying Yasu's corpse
3. Rescuing Law from Hawkins
4. Recruiting Denjiro
5. Meeting up with the rebellion at the new meeting place.
That's all I can think of right now. There are some other plotlines still going on like Kidd, but he doesn't feel necessary before sailing off to the main event.
Can someone please list me things to be excited about in this arc, I feel so bored and I think I've probably missed something interesting. I just still feel like this arc hasn't even started properly yet. All I'm waiting for at the moment is Reverie and I constantly worry that it'll be handled off-panel.

2. Fixing up the ships
3. Copying the poneglyph in Orochi's castle? (May come after the big battle instead)
4. BM Pirates entering Wano?
5. Nekomamushi and Jinbe's arrival
6. Learning who Hitetsu is waiting for
All I can think of for now, but given that there's 7 days left, new stuff is gonna pop up anyhow.

The Reverie is officially over as of this chapter, since it skipped to the next day. Well, assuming that the entire thing didn't end prematurely due to the Revolutionaries attacking.
That said, Oda did actually confirm months that we would be returning there in some form (I guess it'd have to be a flashback now?), so you'll see it one way or another. I just wouldn't get my hopes up about said return lasting longer than a chapter if I were you. I'd imagine it'd happen after Act 2 ends, like how part of 925 was in-between Acts 2 and 3.

I just hope they all - but SHs especially - will finally have their moment together before leaving and the group won’t be separated shortly before they embark. Those moments are the best and we hadn’t something like this since end of FI and PH…

I guess Zoro has to get his sword back before the final fight. Which might take ages considering the pace of that storyline.

Oh yes, a pre figjt party like the one in Skypiea would be awesome.
Also odens flashback, according to oda, will happen this calender year
Zoro was born in Shimotsuki Village. Shimotsuki Ryuma, Ushimaru and Yasuie lived in Wano. Then, what does Shimotsuki mean?
In Japanese, it means "November" in which Zoro was born, but I believe another important meaning is hiding behind it.
There is a Japanese phrase “nishi muku samurai” (西向く侍), which is used for remembering months that don't have the 31st day (February, April, June, September and November).
The literal meaning of "nishi muku samurai" is "a samurai that faces the west," and it can be divided into "ni", "shi", "mu", "ku", and "samurai".
"Ni" means 2 (February), "shi" means 4 (April), "mu" means 6 (June), and "ku" means 9"(September) in Japanese.
“Samurai" implies 11 (November), but the reason is a bit complicated.
Eleven is written as "十一" in kanji, and when you arrange it vertically, it becomes "士".
(Traditionally, Japanese sentences were written vertically.)
"士" (shi) means "武士" (bushi), and "武士" is equivalent to "侍" (samurai). This is why "侍" (samurai) can express "eleven".
Thus, it can be said that Zoro was born in Shimotsuki Village, meaning Samurai Village.
Ryuma, Yasuie and Ushimaru share the same name of Shimotsuki, meaning Samurai.
*Ryuma having Shimotsuki name was revealed in Vivre Card.
i remember in SBS, Oda did mention that the twin of carpenter whom Franky spyied earlier is traveling out from wano and ended in East Blue for certain reason. Maybe Zoro is deported out due to Kaido attacks Wano 20 years ago?
Sort of like 'Remember, remember, the fifth of november', but with extra steps.
Maybe some clans were known for excelling at certain specialties like stonemason, carpentry, samurai, ninja, etc
I really hope there's only two or one chapter left for act II, ending up with such revelation as a Yonkou alliance and the entire world getting it to know thanks to.Drake or someone else leaking the info would let us see whats the WG, Marco, Shanks, BB and the Grand Fleet are going to do about it.
yeah..the 'certain Pirate' shanks telling to the gorosei could be regarding kaido and big mom
I don't know how many acts there will be, but i'm guessing 5, instead of 3 that most are saying. 3 acts just doesn't make sense because this arc doesn't feel like it's reached a halfway point. They are preparing for a clash or battle that may not even end the arc. It could turn into multiple things like the tea party did. If there's 3 acts, then this act shouldn't end before 965. If there are 5, then it shouldn't go any further than 956. If I could sum up the 1st act into 3 main points
All 3 are the main points of the arc. How itgot this way, how bad it is now and how resolving the issues will require more than brute force. As we see, Zoro getting a tour of Wano and Luffy seeing how defeated the samurai are. This act ended by starting a newer narrative (Udon) that conveniently compliments the plan and further delves into Orochi and Kaido's rule. We've dug deeper into each in this next act, but the main narratives become more clear with
All 4 of these narratives converge at times b4 separating again. I can see this act ending with another narrative being created, while 1-2 of these narratives gets a major twist. Linlin's involvement has been flipped, Zoro's journey and Udon training are progressing, but the Festival is so close now. Maybe Law and whoever let him go become a major narrative to focus on. For now, it's just a minor subplot to me. Until it's addressed like how we keep getting updates on Zoro's journey or Udon, it's just in the background.

I think Rocks would still be the best guess, as he was brought up shortly before. So, yeah.

Is it so? Had the impression that most go with 5, because of Kabuki…
Have to agree with most of the rest though.
Weird idea, but I don't think that it would be impossible for Jinbei to escape Whole Cake island by himself and on his way… find Pedro, save him and bring hin to Wano. That's not an option I would like to see, but I think that is possible considering Oda's way of reviving characters (Igaram, Pagaya)

Jinbe was near Cacao Island, not WCI. Doesn't make much sense for him to stop at another island several hours away (remember the arc confirmed it took like 10 hours to get there), when he should be escaping ASAP
shomatsuki kouzaburou left wano 50 years ago. any possibility that he also part of the Rocks Pirates?

somehow come to my mind that there possibility that King, Queen and Jack will be put facing against the Alliance Pirates Captains e.g.
Kid vs King
Law vs Queen
Drake vs Jack
while the rest of fight, i will vote for:
Zoro vs Orochi / Kyoshiro
Sanji vs Perospero (candy-coated bullet can penetrate raid suit)

yes, to escalate some more, the bounty of zoro and sanji to be increased tremendously due to sanji defeating 1st son of big mom which worth 700mil and zoro is long lost descendant of wano clan that is related to the void century.

The match-ups are all over the place right now, especialyl with Big Mom being there, so much so that we might not even get straight 1vs1 like in the past.

well, its no sins to predict and wish for desired battle. thats is the purpose of the forum.
the only problem is, don't get your hopes too high lol. otherwise, you will keep bitching on other people view.
p/s. i don't mean anyone tho.
I still say King vs Zoro and Sanji vs Queen and I will die on that hill.

cannot be. if this happen, then, kid, law and the rest of captains will sit on their ass only. of course they need someone high ranking to fight on.
What about 11 Supernovas vs Kaido & Big Mom? I think there's a good chance that happens, even if it's not the final fight.
too much like what seems in Stampede Movie.
i rather that the fighting agains yonkou commander by each of SH Crew to be during battle against Blackbeard Pirates later.

I quite liked Sanji vs Perospero, considering that Pedro was sort of a mink version of Sanji and this would be his avenging.
We never got any interesting fight out of Sanji in an arc where the opponents were made of food, so I hope that he matches up with some of the Big Mom's children.

Well, there are the Numbers now
@Kaido:
Well, there are the Numbers now
so far there is no indication that the NUMBERS is higher ranking or stronger than the Calamities Trio. I bet, they're the past supernova pirates (which not included in Worst Generation) whom got broken spirit and serve as Kaido top rank soldier.

regarding the words of Lady Otoki, the 9 red scabbards might not be the old generation i.e . Kinemon, Ashura, Inuarashi and others. But, maybe consist of the new generation which is:
Luffy, Kid, Law, Drake, Hawkins, Apoo, Zoro, Killer and Sanji. Apoo surely has ulterior motive by joining Kaido during TS.
I find interesting that most good food is concentrated at the capital and Onigashima. That's giving Sanji all the resources he needs to put Big Mom on Luffy´s side.
Who is the ninja in the top right panel???
https://jaiminisbox.com/reader/read/one-piece-2/en/0/955/page/12
Probably a random ninja they recruited or that followed Shinobu's orders.
I love that Oda keeps the theme of Ninjas always looking goofy and weird.
I don't know if this has been mentioned but ist it possible that Oden was a woman Who was forced to live als a man for cultural reasons (male succession etc.)?
And Toki was in fact a man Who was forced to live as a woman for the same reason?
This would explain why all the male pirates are fawning over "him".
