Everything I would like to say has been said already. I personally like the fact we finally got to the awakening fruit, I don't mind at all he managed to get there after he nearly died, I'm not a super mega fan of the design, but it's ok and I'll learn to like it. I just don't understand why all of this couldn't be achieved with the Gomu Gomu fruit? It would have been perfect, we could have gotten to the exact same place without creating issues and doubts in terms of story-telling and what has been foreshadow and what not, etc.

And I read the full explanation from Greg and others but still to me it's not a reasonable explanation for a lot of things that happened and didn't happen in the last 20 years. And it doesn't sit well with how the Gomu Gomu has always been described as a "normal" devil fruit by Oda, because it was fun to tell the story of a "normal" person achieving extraordinary things.

On a separate note, I wonder what happened with Zoro as I we see his sword abandoned in the first panel of the chapter.

Luffy almost never finishes the big boss before the rest of the Straw Hats beat there baddies, so I think Oda will switch focus to them soon

I was thinking the same: the next few chapters are going to tell us a lot about where the rest of saga is headed. If the focus stays on the roof, it means this is not it and there is some more twists coming. If we switch to the othere locations and fights, and we spend the next 10/20 chapters there, then it might actually be it for Kaido.

1. Supplying the troops with weapons, presumably from Gyuukimaru
2. Burying Yasu's corpse
3. Rescuing Law from Hawkins
4. Recruiting Denjiro
5. Meeting up with the rebellion at the new meeting place.

That's all I can think of right now. There are some other plotlines still going on like Kidd, but he doesn't feel necessary before sailing off to the main event.

I guess Zoro has to get his sword back before the final fight. Which might take ages considering the pace of that storyline.

I would really love to see Law fighting Hawkins. But, like most people, I don't think this is going to happen.

And yes, please have somebody else defeating Jack. I might forget something but, if we discount Franky vs. Senior Pink and Zoro vs. Pika (which, by the way, Zoro won easily without even a scratch), we haven't seen a proper fight in years… Like ten years, not three or four years.

I enjoy Luffy beating the shit out of people, but I also want to see Zoro and Sanjii fighting for their lives again.

Oda went "Wano is a country made of strong people. But are getting the same construction as any place where there is a bunch of weakling and a couple of strong ones. I believe that's an awful way to handle it and I will point it as such. Does it euin the whole experience? No(the Big Mom thing was much worse). But is it a problem in the construction of the arc? Yes.

It's true. But, if we are thinking hierarchies, the sumo guy is probably below Holdem, who's below Hawkins, who's below the Calamaties, who are below Kaido. If we want Luffy to defeat Kaido at some point, somehow, he can't be struggling with these guys.

Also, Luffy now must be one of the 100 (maybe 50?) strongest people in the One Piece World. The fact that he can easily beat some of the warriors in Wano doesn't prevent Wano to be ranked as the "strongest country".

Well, the two main members are Lucci and Kaku. They either progresed is strenght at the same rate as Luffy did, which would be weird, or it would be a bit underwhelming.

Good to great chapter with load of characters and info. But boy, ending each chapter with a cliff hanger (and filling it with information) that is not going to be resolved for months/ years sure feels like a cheap trick. I do understand it once, not every single time.

Also, CP0 doesn't make sense. Aren't they supposed to be (were presented as) a formidable force? Lucci was stomped (in what probably is still the best fight ever in OP) by Luffy 500 chapter ago, pre time skip, pre everything. What's the point is bringing CP9 back with a new name?

I liked the design, it just feels like a bit of an underwhelming introduction vs. a 50M bounty man (something we have not seen in ages). I expect the commanders of the RA to be monsters. Also, a short chapter. Also, I'm not sure where this is going and what they mean by "war to the Celestial Dragons". I'm assuming not much and that we won't see it anyway because I can't imagine the story steering aways from the main character for a year.
